Go to the RealTek site, and download the newest driver. That may be your problem, because the TBs are newer.

Give us a screenie of the display tab. Also the model of your computer could help us find you a good upgrade. For now Ill say getting 4gb of RAM would help

You may have a realTek sound card, in which case you have to use their program. Also, iirc 360 TBs don't work as mics on PC, just as headphones.

Asus is nice. I'd stay away from HP, they are the definition of [cabbage]ty, overpriced hardware.

Cyberpower gets negative reviews for the number of computers shipped broken, but they have good warranty. If you are looking for a prebuilt, avoid best buy like the plague. First off, they will probably try to sell you the 'ready to go' version for $200 - 250 more. It will probably come with Norton AV, some clean install disks, and they will set up your profile for you in store. They may even tell you the only model they have is a 'ready to go' version (which is illegal apparently). They will also try to sell you 'Monster Cables' which do ABSOLUTELY nothing, other than take up space on your desk.

Normally I'd debate the choice of AMD, but for a sub $700 build, that's pretty nice.

I'd grab a 460 1GB if your PSU can handle it, if not get a 6850 (I believe it sucks half the power)

You may want to pick up 2 more GB of ram. You can buy DDR2 for as cheap as $50 for 2 2GB sticks.

I guess it depends on your preferences. I mostly play FPS and RTS/TBS games, for shooters it's easier to be accurate with the mouse, although movement is a bit harder. Strategy games are undeniably better with a keyboard and mouse. You get shortcuts, quicker cursor movement and an all-around better interface.

I like how we all try to be as far from Dusty as possible. What difficulty will the NPCs be on?

Keyboard/Mouse is far superior in most games.

Can you play games with them?
