Steep learning curve? It took me longer to learn how to play PapiJump. Lack of content in the early levels? Maybe, but it's probably the easiest MMO to pick up, especially with the knowledge base and the guides throughout the map.

Pretty much my reaction halfway through school today.

CBC had a great show, jPod, about 4 years ago. They never really gave it a chance, and they screwed it over by putting it on Friday nights when nobody is home watching TV. It ended with a damn cliffhanger too, and I get pissed off every time I see the crap they are playing today, when they could have at least given the show a second season. Another example is FlashForward, an interesting sci-fi/drama that had a good story and concept. It got canceled after one season because people would rather watch crap reality shows instead of something with an actual plot.

I was always that kid who got straight 90s up until grade 8, when I actually got friends and started having a life. I still have never gotten a grade under 70%, but my work ethic in high school is awful. I tend to ace tests, except for in math where I get 80s, but I never do homework. Right now I have 4 overdue assignments in English, and a solid 5/30, the 5 coming from a grammar quiz I got 100 on. On the other side, My Honours Chem mark is 99%, because we've only had in-class work and a test so far.

... and yet people get muted for such infractions all the time -- or used to. Case in point. My brother-in-law plays as well. One evening, he went down into the Dust Devil's and forgot his facemask. He died and lost some reasonably valuable gear. He was so embarrassed at himself for doing such a noobie thing that, when he was trying to explain to another player where his valuable gear went, he lied and told a story that his son had been on his account and lost the gear. That player reported him for account sharing. He was muted and received a "black mark". He should have read the rules and know account sharing is against the rules. And being honest with himself, dying on a game happens... WAT? On the parent centre, it used to encourage parents to play with their children under 13. Is macroing still reportable?

Yeah, iirc Hegemony 3 ended with Dusty, Doom and Russia (Paul?) against ICU, who had three other peoples countries and me. Then some bombs were set off under japan and there was an argument on how much damage ICU should take, then Doom somehow got 300 hydrogen carbombs into my country, because I wasn't online for a day to tell my border patrol to block them. Chaos ensued, then Archi left for a couple weeks and it all fell apart.

Then you have to graph it, and I get all confused. The closest thing my school has to AP is honours, where you take Grade 10 and 11 in Grade 10, Grade 12 in Grade 11 and Uni in Grade 12. I'm taking it for Chem and Math, repping a 95 in chem and fluctuating between 75 and 85 in math. I find we go way to fast for me to absorb the concept. I do the test, get a 75, go over it with the teacher and realize I could have gotten a 95 if I understood the concept when I wrote it.

Turbo boost is a great thing, especially for games that only use one or two cores. The 5770 was my second choice when I was building my computer. I find it's better to buy a $200 card every 1-2 years than a $500 one every 3-4 years.

This is the same thing we saw in Greece with the budget cut riots and the UK with the university protests. People think they should be entitled to what those before got or better, when their governments just can't afford it. It's worse in America, because the people expect this and then go crazy when someone even suggests raising taxes.

Completely false. If you have an older computer, it is good to restart it once in a while to clear the memory though.
