Same here with alcohol. It's not that I don't mind buying 17 year olds alcohol, it's just if I got caught, kiss good-bye to any jobs in the public sector. Most shops accept their college ID too, and you can get them at 16. :roll: Yeah. I guess it's not even the getting caught part that bothers me, it's that they'll call me up and ask me to go get them some during school or whatnot. I mean if we were hanging out and we stopped by a gas station then I'd have nothing against buying them a pack (as long as they've got money) but I'm not going to go out of my way to buy people cigarettes. My younger brother(17) is a huge drinker, and I turn 19 in a week(legal age in Canada). How about this. Right now the Liberals and NDP(the left coalition) needs the bloc (the god[cabbage] separatists) to overthrow harper, so they unite with them, force an election. If people dont tun against the coalition, and the election turns out the same as the last one, the coalition will have enough sets for a majority without the god[cabbage] separatists (seats won last election + ridings where liberal + NDP votes was higher than the conservative/bloc winner) plus i think public opinion will go against a party which cant hold togeather a goverment for more than 2 months Edit-- what people dont get is that they dont need the bloc to join the coalition, they just need them to force the election

i [cabbaged] up the typing instructor in gr 6, went in and changed the the pictures you get for completing the lessons to a bunch of swears (using paint :lol: ). then a week later i went and deleted parts of the code for it, never got caught (gotta love generic login). the school thought it was being smart by installing it on the shared drive instead of evry single computer, never thought theres a reason its called SHARED drive :wall: we were doing a project on "the outsiders" in ELA, my friend Google imaged "cherry valence" and on page 5 there were about 10 pics of naked men (somehow got past safesearch filter) luckily for him, we had a sub that day, and he just told him to exit it. my regular teacher would of had him suspended before he could say "i didnt do it"

Im Canadian and i Dislike harper. Its not so much his conservativeness, but his unwillingness to do anything. Compared to the us election ours was pointless and boring. my party, the liberals,had an idiot as a leader. Evreyone new the conservatives would win another minority gov, and we;d be back at it in 8 months. I still suppoprted liberals though, to keep my riding safe untill the next election when our leader isnt an idiot

Sheesh that's a harsh drop.. I think 13 is a good age, as younger, you would likley be an extra vote to your parents, but i think that some thing like 16 is still to low to make sure all people have a say in government. edit - i can see that some can disagree with 13, but i can see no reason against 16 being the age

Basicly im for High environmental standards like wind solar hydro nuclear, natural gas where needed, and absolutely no "clean" coal. we should also raise gas consumption standards to 50 mpg and invest heavily in plug in cars and scrap corn ethanol. Fiscally i think the income tax is fair and banks need more regulation, because they obviously cant do it themselves Pro gay rights, but civil unions and not marrige voting age lowered to 13, because, then the education system might get more support, and immigration needs to be cut a lot though, and the mexico - us wall is a good idea. my score on the test On Non-Fiscal Issues, you rank as a Moderate Liberal (28). only give it to them if they agree to make all cars 35mpg or better with in a year or 2 and 50mpg within the next 5-10 years. they also need to fire all management and create a government official to supervise them. also supporting a merger between ford and gm could help. Edit -- they should also have to bring back 50% of the jobs they shipped overseas, but cut rediculiosly(sorry about spelling) high wages for the workers that do work here
