  1. P90X is great if you have the time to do it. I found it was difficult to squeeze in an hour or two for it each day. If you have the same problem, break it up into what you truly need. For instance, I had to skip the Plyo, Yoga, and Kenpo sessions. I must say though, P90X got me into the best shape I've ever been in. Definitely worth it. I think it's much better than to have beginners hitting the gym. Many people, when they start going to a gym, are lost and simply move from machine to machine while taking five minute 'mirroring' breaks between sets. P90X sets up a routine schedule that's spelled out for you. Even without floodgates of testosterone, my bicep size shot up, I developed abdominals, and my thighs turned to steel; an all around toned body. Much better than paying for gym membership, IMO.
  2. If I'm not mistaken, the chance of getting an item is 1/16 after all the brothers are killed. I believe it was also found that kill count does not influence a barrows drop, only the extras (runes, bolts, coins, etc).
  3. Guys, just a reminder. If a post breaks the rules, simply report it. By quoting the offense, it only creates more work for the moderators and slows the response time. Thanks! ;)
  4. Well, first off, Adobe has never supplied Java. :P And according to this news post, Apple will no longer be maintaining Java support.
  5. That's part of the problem - it doesn't do a very good job in many cases. Linux worked well for me, but I never used it to the extent that I used Windows. Not saying that one is better than the other; each has its drawbacks. For Apple it's customizability and for Windows it's the installation and support. Except unless you're buying shady hardware, all the drivers should be available online, and you are able to manually install them yourself. Correct me if I'm wrong here, but you can't even manually install your own drivers on Macs. I know that for software like flash and java, you have to use Apples version, even if you don't like the new update. It doesn't matter if they're available online or not. Several people, including myself, have (or had) driver issues even when it comes straight from the hardware distributor. And while no, you cannot install other drivers on OS X, you can revert back to previous versions. For Flash, you're free to download it from Adobe's site -- I'm currently using the new beta (ie, not distributed by Apple). For Java, you can revert back to previous versions and, unless I am misinformed, Apple no longer distributes its own Java.

  7. That doesn't mean it's biased. Just because it's owned by the same company doesn't mean it doesn't have a different branch of CS. And given your tangent about misrepresentation, would the same not be true for Apple? Given all of the 'anti-fanboys/girls,' I find it difficult to believe that Apple would be left out of such falsifications.
  8. It's interesting to see that the only think anyone is comparing is hardware. This should tell you everything you need to know about buying from Dell: http://www.pcworld.com/article/211402/reliability_and_service_laptops.html
  9. All boils down to their customer support, really. Would not want to be without a laptop at uni.
  10. Eh, I figured neighbors would be like support. :P
  11. In my opinion, buying a computer is a lot like buying a house. When on the market, you aren't just going to look at one aspect; it's not just about the square footage. Rather, you have to look at what and when it was built, what it's furnished with, and the kind of neighbors you get. Given that, hardware is not everything. It's well known that Apple does not deliver the same specs as a similarly priced PC. In my case, I switched from Windows to OS X because I was not content with the OS and the support I was receiving (Dell). For me, Apple struck gold there.
  12. Armadyl is a lot of fun. :P http://forum.tip.it/topic/220209-armadyl-guide/ I use this guide's "Low Risk Solo" setup. Replace the extreme pots with 3 overloads. I use a 3:1 brew to restore ratio. I also use zammorak vambraces instead of an unholy book.
  13. Went out and practiced today: 32ft BBall throw <_< 50 push ups 72 sit ups 9.9s shuttle run 7 pullups 6:32 mile
  14. Scheduled the test for next month. :ohnoes:
  15. The familiar is worth it if you can time it right. However, even at 60 second runs, the two methods nearly converge. Wouldn't recommend using one simply because of the amount of clicking required. If you're looking to maximize exp, make sure you're using all the pouches, strange fruits, never actually touch the altar (ie, crafting the runes without physically being near the altar), and use mousekeys. Have a guide on ZMI that I might be able to finish tonight for you, but no promises. :P

I was using overloads (for 3x charm drops). ;) Seems that we kind of derailed a bit though; we should probably give the OP back his/her thread. :P

Hehe. I was using piety to maximize offensive bonuses, so that could have something to do with it.

I've never done CT WFS, but at 100 crimsons/hour in the Mithril Cavern, I sometimes struggle to keep my health up, even with a unicorn, EEE, and overloads. I'll stick with Karil's. :P ...How? I used to have no trouble living on a bunyip and SGS specials in full void with super sets and no prayer when I was getting 99 summoning. How could you POSSIBLY have trouble with hp there? @ litter, let me rephrase- you don't range anything in slayer. You were using supersets and an SGS. I honestly don't know, but I have on occasion, had to leave the cavern to grab food.

  21. The Smithing update had a lot of potential. Right now it seems that nothing interesting was added, but I haven't gotten to try it yet. For the moment, I am disappointed.
  22. Hm, I'm using 3.6.15 and this doesn't happen.
  23. You can get an exact number by using the Tip.it Prayer Calculator and then multiplying the number of bones needed by the current price on the GE. :)
  24. It truly is that easy; just go to an altar and practice prayer switching with his video. This was my fourth try and, by far, it was the easiest.
  25. OH MY GOSH I LOVE YOU! I only messed up twice and he hit me for 150 and 350. I completely forgot super restores and I accidentally brought extreme defence pots instead of saradomin brews. Didn't lay a single bolt on him (the diamond bolts were just in case healers showed up) and it took ten minutes to kill, but it was worth it! To anyone who has trouble getting past the healers, this method is for you! :shades:
