  1. I thought .999999~... = 1? 1/3 = .333~ 2/3 = .666~ 1/3 + 2/3 = 3/3 BUT .333~ + .666~ = .999~ -------------------------------------------- Also 1/9 = .111~ 1/9 * 9 = 9/9 .111~ * 9 = .999~ oh and That's just rounding. 1/3 ? .333~ technically. 1/3 = .3333~..... all the way to infinity. But because it's infinite and all, the difference between the two is so small, that it's considered negligible and therefor considered the same. for example the equation: lim (8x³-9x²+17)/( 2x³-5x+12) ?? technically ='s nothing as ?/? is undefined. But that is obviously not the answer. You see, if you plug in very very large number close to infinity, such as 100000000 for x, you would get a number like 3.878787878 or something similar. and if you plug in a number such as 10000000000000000000000 you would get something like 3.999999999888. So if you were to keep going, the number you would get would start to get closer and closer to 4, which is the answer, because although the number was not exact, it's so close that it is indistinguishable.
  2. They better care about what we like. We're the corporate target. If they ignore what we like, then we won't give them what they like: which is, as you said, money. Anyway, Jagex is NOT communist what-so-ever. They are more of an early 18th century constitutional monarchy by definition; with the CEO at the top (kept in check by the executive and supervisory boards, distinguishing it from an absolute monarchy), and customer support and janitorial staff at the bottom.
  3. My first death was from a cow in Lumbridge. I spent about 5 minutes looking for a log out button (the button was cut off by the scroll bar) I thought if I logged out, I would have to start over again, so I was hesitant about loosing the 35gp I got from killing goblins. I was really frustrated that I couldn't wear my newly acquired goblin mail. I didn't know about the different attack styles so I was frustrated that I couldn't wear new armor and was confused about how to train defense. Getting from Lumbridge to Varrock was a big deal. I thought I was awesome when I "discovered" the free entrance Al Kharid. Then I saved up to buy the legendary mithril scimitar. I was really proud of my full iron, which I lost trying to take the wine of Zamorack. I thought the low alchemy spell would literally turn your items gold. Boy was I disappointed. When slayer came out I was 'bout level 65 F2P and I actually spent about 10 minutes looking for a slayer master (I saw the icon, but there was no Vannaka) so I checked the news again and discovered that it was members only. I felt stupid.
  4. I'm so, so tired of Family Guy. I watched it before it was cancelled the first time (You know. Before it was popular...), and some of the old episodes were at least clever. Now it's kind of gone the way of the Simpsons and is like an old dog that needs to be put down. It's the same fart jokes, racial jokes, celebrity jokes, ect. over and over and over again, and what's worse is that kids buy right into it and don't even realize that the show they are watching is recycling the same crap over and over like Ren & Stempy. Hate to break it everyone, but Family Guy isn't funny and even in its heyday was rarely funny. Only drunks like Family Guy because it's one obvious over-played joke after another, in which you don't have to think about the joke that was told. You see the fat man with the funny laugh laugh, and follow like a [developmentally delayed]ed turkey. The polar opposite of that kind of humor is represented in shows like Futurama. There are oodles of hidden jokes and references throughout each episode, many of which are very niche specific and not a lot of people would get them, which is the reason why many of you here might not think it's funny. I hope Family Guy goes down like a plane in flames, but this time stay dead instead of coming back with brain damage.
  5. Watched Burn After Reading yesterday. It was really funny, I liked it.
  6. My favorite AND healthiest is chocolate milk. Mmmm......multirole!
  7. My calculus II prof. kind of annoys me. It's not that he's a bad teacher (he's alright), but he is passionless. He usually comes in about 5 minutes late and looks like he just woke up with a hangover. He also talks in a quite-monotone voice has has handwriting disturbingly similar to mine, which isn't very good. It just seems like he is tired of his job, but he's only about 30-35 years old. I guess I got spoiled last semester with my fresh-out-of-school calculus I junior professor. He always got excited at the end of a long problem and told strangely relevant jokes, which made class fun.
  8. I try to ignore people who think RS has a real economy and spend unnecessary time to learn these so called "economics" in order to save or make a little fake money for a damn video game.
  9. This totally didn't take as long as it might look because I mass produced everything....I was going to add some gore, but i got tired of it. I'm not weird.......honest... :?
  10. My only complaints are that the pistol is ugly and they brought back those quasi-invisible ghosts which are more annoying than scary. I was also disappointed the Penetrator wasn't in the demo.
  11. Here's a good one:http://www.gametrailers.com/player/15194.html
  12. Command and Conquer Tiberian Dawn. Hands down.
  13. Whoa, wait, what? That's interesting. Didn't know that. So the sci-fi idea of space-sailing is actually somewhat plausible? It's more than plausible, it's pretty much confirmed that a solar sail would work. Problem is that it's slow as hell making it pretty much worthless.
  14. Rub your food on a piece of paper. If it turns clear, it's the way to weight gain. Seriously though, work on building muscle as it does weigh more than fat. It's also healthier and looks better, too. Couldn't tell you how to build a significant amount of muscle mass though, seeing as how I myself am 5'7'' and 110 lbs.
  15. After Modern Warfare 2 comes out later this year, I think they should go to the future. Or Vietnam, but future is cooler and allows them to be more creative. Or maybe an alternate WWI scenario, like in Iron Storm.
  16. But still. I want to know, what that "but still" is. Well, a black president could be vaguely interpreted as a part of MLK's dream: "I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character." Martin Luther King Jr. during the March on Washington, August 1963 And that is kind of what just happened. The majority of the nation elected Obama based on his character, not the color of his skin. The majority of the country is white, yet they elected a black president. I think that really does show that racism in America is waning. Sure it's over promoted, but it is the first time in history a black person has been elected president of the US of A.
  17. BF2 is much, much better than Bad Company. Bad Company is by no means a bad game, though. It's just a little dumbed down for the consoles. (I'm assuming you're talking about BF2 for the PC. If you are talking about the console port, then yes, Bad Company is much better.)
  18. Hmm... I was the kid who made fun of the kids playing Pokemon. Does that count? After about 5th grade those fell out of style, though. I was unfortunately part of the 1st generation of Pokemon card dorks. 1998 was a horrible time to be in 3rd grade. And as a bonus, just because I am bored, here's a list of other fads I ridiculed: () Digimon () Naruto/ anime in general. Openly and unapologetically, I might add. () Tech Decks () Tops (Beyblades had not been invented when kids my age were young enough to think they were cool) () Pogs (I think my school was trapped about 2 decades in the past on this one) () Virtual pets (now honestly, those things are as boring as a bag of yard waste) () Hawaiian shirts (inappropriate where I live) () American Idol () Survivor () Spongebob (I think it's annoying as hell) I think the only real craze that I fell into was with LEGOS. But I don't think there is a lower-middle class + kid alive who has never played with them.
  19. PC's have more software for whatever it is that you use your computer for. And wether people like it or not, Windows is still the standard OS for businesses and most schools. On the other hand, Macintoshes are pretty and can dual boot, but it comes at a high price. If you are going to use Windows, though, there is no point to put it on a Mac, as you will be making it a PC which you could buy for ~$600 less.
  20. I like "Looks like Trouble", "Act on Instinct", "Prepare for Battle", "Warfare", and "March to Doom" from Tiberian Dawn and I particularly like the map theme from Tiberian Sun for some reason.
  21. Ah! Good ol' North Dakota. Buffalo, Tommy Turtle, Salem Sue, the geographical center of North America, long highways, and a total population of 10. Yep. North Dakota has it all. Kidding, but do look up Tommy Turtle and Salem Sue. Funny stuff. I'd like to live in a nice suburb somewhere. Away from the grit and noise of the city, but still close enough to go there for fun.
