  1. Well, they are both pretty good but, for me, Oreos win. If I want a chocolate chip cookie nothin' beats the real deal. Fresh baked are a lot better.
  2. Yes, it is flaming and yes, it is name calling. Sorry I take personal offense to being called something I'm not. Did you know that I registered as a Democrat, but then changed my mind on who I wanted to support because the campaign wasn't going the way I thought it would and I didn't like it? NO. SO STOP PRETENDING TO KNOW ME. And before you twist that around: can I not change my mind? Or do I have to jump on one bandwagon and stay there? Why does who I support automatically make me a radical right winger? I changed my mind because of the reasons in my first post. I could easily say you were a radical Left winger because all you have done here is pick apart peoples' posts, tell them how stupid they are, and say that only people who support Obama are right. Seems like you are the troll for mocking everybody's opinion that isn't the same as yours and make accusations without knowing the entire story. Oh and sorry I don't conform to nerdy internet talk by saying that calling someone a troll is not name calling. SORRY GUYS. I guess I will get off the internet because I don't label people automatically. MY FREAKING BAD.
  3. Yeah, it's pretty annoying but it really does need the degrading aspect of it to balance it out.
  4. Harper128 is right. Jealousy is probably the main reason why people are like that. It's like all those stupid kids in castle wars that call everyone noobs every time they die then flip around and call people noobs when they win a fight.

    Need 3k

There has always been begging, now it's just compressed into one convenient and annoying number. I still think it is better than people asking me to give them free full rune  freaking bloodsuckers.
  6. Do you ever click cnn.com/livefeed for his townhall meetings? Or do you only happen to catch sound bites as you walk by your television? I mean, it's like people expect speeches and rallies to be about his stances on issues. Do some [bleep] research, it's 2008 for christ sake...all the information about his plans are at your fingertips, and you use this as a reason not to vote for someone. Get real. People who use this as a talking point never planned to vote for the man, they're just grasping for straws. In case you're wondering: http://www.barackobama.com/issues Far more in-depth than McCain's website about issues. Half of that is about discrimination, which cannot be directly controlled by the government. You can't fix ignorance with pretty words. And another thing is that a lot of those goals, while good on paper, will be incredibly hard to carry out in reality. And exactly how they will be carried out remains elusive. Source? I see no flip-flop on this, or anything even remotely close to it. I see "I'll listen to Patreus and the Generals, Maliki, and my own intelligence sources for making decisions. Maliki supports Obama's plan, what's more to say? [hide=What happened to immediate?] now it's 16 months... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MriH5ae6fkQ granted it is Fox News, which is known for distorting the truth, but you can't deny what he said in his own words.[/hide] I guess he realized it was unrealistic. But he should never of said it without a sit-rep. I agree with McCain about nuclear power, disagree with him about drilling. The fact is, Nuclear power will do very little to curb the energy crisis as it stands. Why? Because last I heard, we're short on oil, not coal. Nuclear power provides power for homes, not cars. Obama says no? Where: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Iym-8Q7 ... /54/563366 Very end of the video he discusses Nuclear. Here: And if we use nuclear power for homes, there can be more natural gas available to use as a band-aid for cars. Typical right wing ploys. It's funny, because for years, the Republicans have always only professed off-shore drilling, and consistently get ranked 0% by CAF. Rated 17% by the CAF, indicating opposition to energy independence. (Dec 2006) (John McCain). Times change, so do people. And a person isn't immortally bound to the rest of his party's stance. I still see NO viable solutions form the other side, which was my point in the first place.... I've been working on this campaign for too long to know when I see a troll, and when I see someone who's legitimately seeking a candidate to support. You sir, are a clear troll acting to be innocently looking for a good candidate to support, and then just praising the right. So typical, you're nothing new. What the hell are you talking about? I said I was probably going to vote for McCain at the beginning of my post and then stated why. If you actually read my post and not just skimmed it for stuff to criticize, you would of seen that. I'm not going to bother with further responses, I wasn't looking for a flame war I'm sorry you turned it into that with your childish name calling.
  7. Both candidates are pretty terrible this election, although not as bad as the Bush-Kerry election. Talk about lesser of two evils.... Anyway, I will probably vote for McCain (hehe my spell check wants me to correct it to moccasin....moving on....). Obama seems to be all talk. He keeps blabbering on about change but never explains how he's going to carry out his master plan. Besides that, he already flip flopped on troop withdrawal. Plus that the Democratic party is pissing me off with the excessive amount of propaganda spewing out from them (check out their website, it's disgusting. The Republican site is somewhat better...). What really makes me mad is how people are blaming Bush for the recession. It's just like when President Hoover was blamed for the Great Depression and shows how stupid people are. Recessions happen. It's part of the business cycle. McCain may be acting like a jackass right now, and some of his ideas are half-baked, but at least they even exist. McCain wants to build new nuclear power plants to take pressure off the energy crisis, but Obama says no. So what's the Democrats plan? NOTHING. They have nothing. They just say we need energy independence, but they don't say how. McCain's ideas may not be perfect or, hell, even good, but at least he's are trying. I URGE people to look at the Democratic party's website AND the Republican Party's website and compare them. Yeah, they both say bad things about each other, but look closer. On the Democrats' website they say they are going to change something, don't say how or give any ideas, then bash the hell out of McCain. On the Republicans' website they address the issue and give SOLUTIONS. And better yet there is no Obama bashing. That shows to me that the Republican party actually knows what they are doing and is trying to solve problems, and that the Democratic party is riding out there almost guaranteed win by sitting out and bashing the opposition. Until the Democrats get their crap together and offer some freaking ideas, I'm supporting McCain.
  8. It's really easy actually. See information panel on the right side? On the bottom of the description box there is another box that says "Embed" and then there is a huge long code[hide=looks like this] &hl=en&fs=1">&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344">[/hide] Copy and paste the code to your post, then select all of it and press the youtube button and that's it!.
  9. I'm sorry. :( Oh, and for future reference there is a sticky to put reverent rants in. But hopefully you will never have to use it.
  10. Right there they just lied to all of the youth in America. I know a ton of athletes who use drugs and still doing incredibly well in sports. Hell, some of them even manage scholorships. That kind of attitude pisses me off. Just because some numbnuts does drugs and is still decent at sports doesn't make doing them OK or good for you. And I know a ton of athletes who did drugs and didn't get caught that got kicked off their respective teams for poor/deteriorating performance. So by that logic it makes drugs incredibly bad for you.
  11. The Cold War is over. Looks like that 1950's family wasted their money.
  12. That's pretty much what I think, too. There is no excuse for lazy typing. A typo here or there is no big deal, but when you type in internet shorthand all the time, that draws the line. Not only is it hard to read for normal people, it also makes you look incredibly stupid and does not make people want to read what was typed, much less take it seriously.
  13. At my school there are plenty of small skirmishes, but there are only one or two serious fights per year. And by serious I mean attempted murder by means of punching and kicking, no weapons though. Our teachers are pretty hardcore, and actually enter the fray and fight back if attacked. Usually a tackle from one of the larger teachers/coaches does the trick. One time the school police officer had to use a taser. It was pretty cool, to be honest. But yeah, me and my friends are never picked on by anyone so I have never really had an opertunity to fight. There is a group of "TAP OUT!" kids and they are pretty much the only ones who fight, and it's almost always amongst themselves. All and all my school is pretty tame for a public school, at least where I live.
  14. Ouch, very ouch. But PETA shows up and they're all like, "Dude, you gotta like treat animals with like respect, man. They have feelings too, they are living creatures, you jerk!" and fire their own torpedo! Unfortunately it missed yours and also hit the shark. But they fire another and this time it hits the ship that originally fired the torpedo that killed the shark!
  15. McRice Burger? What is that, a patty of compressed rice on a bun? If so, that's hilarious!
  16. EA is hoping to change their rep with the game spore EA killed Westwood! Of course they are evil! They also ruined Sim City with that joke of a game Sim City Societies. But seriously, those are the only two things that I think make EA deserve their bad reputation. To be honest they make some pretty freaking good games overall. On topic: For the record, I hated bots with every fiber of my being. As for Runescape's not larger than life reputation, I'd prefer if it stayed as "small" as it is. There are enough idiots running around as is. The game would be better off without a lot of publicity.

  18. [hide=Gigantanormous quote block] Well, yeah, thats what you'd call a "weaboo". I agree that some of them should be taken out round the back and shot. As with every hobby there are people who just take it too far. That said, I'm all for cosplaying. I think it looks fantastic, it takes skill, time and dedication to create a great looking cosplay. But you shouldnt call the anime corruptive just because some idiots cant differentiate between fact and fiction. If it wasnt anime, they'd be doing it for something else. And if you've never seen a person in a simpsons / american cartoon getup... Have you never heard of comic conventions? There is just as much dressing up and farting around goes on for american cartoons / shows / games. Its not just an anime thing. Cant say I have, although I'm currently saving for a trip in the summer of 2010 with a few friends. To say that not even kids watch it is just plain wrong to be honest. Maybe they didnt let their kids watch or something, but shows like naruto / one piece (to name a couple people might actually know, there are tons) have prime time kids TV slots on Japanese telly. Anime is hated yes, but again, it isnt the anime itself which is hated, its the people that are commonly associated with anime, and the otaku hate has absolutely nothing to do with their obsession over anime either. The general anime / otaku hate stems from an incident in the late eighties where (side note, he was executed in June of this year, probably as a result of the more recent "akiba massacre") and it was discovered that he was indeed an anime obsessed otaku. Whilst the fact that he was mentally unstable is far more likely to have caused him to do this, The anti anime stigma has continued to this day, and it is now hated pretty much for the sake of hating it. Another incident happened not so long ago, where a man went on a killing spree (by japan standards - he killed 4 people, damn in America that wouldnt even make national news) in the Akihabara district of Tokyo, which is famous for being the otaku capital of Japan. The media this time blamed violent videogames (man JT has gone international!), which refuelled the otaku hate somewhat. I'm not saying it isnt hated, I'm just saying that there is no real reason to hate it at all. And thats why the original comment of "they hate it so why shouldnt we?" was just plain stupid. [/hide] Oh, so that's what that is. I didn't know there was a term for it.... Anyway, yeah I see what you mean, but I based what I said of my own personal experience. And I wasn't talking about conventions per se, where it would at least be relevant, I'm talking about a regular day at school which is defiantly out of the ordinary. Oh, and Japan is pretty cool, but be warned, they have very odd toilets \ . Oh and yes, you can buy fancy electronics that haven't been sent west for low prices :-# . And it's true, Hello Kitty is HUGE over there; every town had their own official Hello Kitty doll. Osaka's is a teddy bear Hello Kitty if I remember right and Saga's is a mudfish Hello Kitty. And that thing about that murder is very....disturbing to say the least. Kind of hard to see how he would get that far with his crime given the number of cops there are. Seriously there was one on every corner it seemed like.
  19. no, I really dont. Alright, maybe I should of gone into more detail.... You see, at my school, there is a group of about 5-6 people and all they talk about/read about is anime specifically Naruto and something else I can't spell or pronounce. This one kid is particularly bad. He actually thinks he's a ninja. He comes to school dressed like a ninja and he jumps around and does all sorts of weird stuff. Now that wouldn't be THAT weird IF was actually a kid. But he's SEVENTEEN. There is no excuse for that. And I completely blame anime for that. Because it's not just him. Every city I have been to I've seen people with this obsession (not fandom, obsession). And it's not right. I know it's a minority of a minority, but it still shows, to me, that it is corruptive to impressionable people. There is a difference between liking and watching a show and making it your life, this person did just that. And just to be clear, I have no problem with people who watch or talk about it, but when you start dressing up/acting like a character for no reason, that draws the line and I associate it with anime because I have never seen somebody act/dress like say a character from the Simpsons. Fair enough, I can see your point. But just a question. Have you ever been to Japan? I have. Osaka to be exact, and in that city anime had the same stereotype it has in the U.S. Me and the family I was staying with were watching T.V. (one of those silly game shows) and I asked if anime was as popular as it was here. And having also been the U.S. they said no, and to 'BLUNTLY' put it they said it was for "weird people" and that not even kids watched it. Now what would make them say that? I assumed that it meant that it was unpopular. And I do understand that they didn't speak for everyone and that I'm sure plenty of people there do like it, but like I said I based that on the information given to me. Oh and what the heck is a "weaboo"?
  20. Slipknot, Metallica, or Pink Floyd. Or the Plain White T's. Although they are kind of a one hit wonder with that song about that one steeplechase girl who, by the way, didn't do very well at the Olympic trials this year...... yeah.... still, I'm tired of hearing about them.
  21. Oops Penguins become sharky food.
  22. Probably thieving. I mean come on, seeing that elusive pickpocket option on lvl 2 men all the time...... Next would probably be slayer which I had always wondered about since it was the first new skill I had been around to see released. And then I was already a member when farming, construction, hunter, and summoning came out.
