Woah, what J-mod alt account was lurking in hyt-chat when I suggested that the prayer icon be used as a prayer activation button? The idea was probably more popular than I thought, though. Anyway, good move Jagex. I'm also quite interested to see what this 'Rest' button does. Hopefully it will contain a little surprise other than just bringing back an ol' RSC feature.

I always use 'nub' as an affectionate way to call someone a noob. That's pretty creepy, my younger sibling believes they mean the exact same thing as you, but Urban-Dictionary's top definitions disagree.

In an earlier ingame MMG 'BTS' he mentioned a huge F2P & P2P skill update. At the time, I assumed the F2P skill update would most likely be fletching, as there is no reason for F2P to get a new skill. Yet here he says 'new F2P skill'. \

I agree with Troacc, many points are being brought up again that have died 10 pages ago. In reading this thread, the one argument I liked the most was this one. It should certainly be copied to the first post.

Dbz/Trips/Das and I essentially confirmed we can mention Tip.It, but as for now we may not direct others to a specific portion. I do believe Das is looking into that for more information, though. : So apparently other fansites have recieved letters similar to this. I wonder if this 'unique content' is really going to be unique. In my opinion, Jagex partnering up with us (or fansites) is great news, unique content or not. Here's what I found: Sources: Runescape Official Rules (Rule 11) Reporting Academy (Rule 11 FAQ) --- The Official Rules did not say anything about mentioning sites, and the closest the Reporting Academy could come up with, besides saying "Don't direct players to fansites", was the following: I'd presume that Tip.It essentially falls into the same category as YouTube, here. You may mention Tip.It, but directing a user to a specific section is against the rules. After reading this, I now agree with Dbz/Tripsis/Das. I suppose I'll change my original stance to: "I'm looking forward to hear if we can mention specific topics on Tif."

So, I've been wondering... Jagex recently stated that we can discuss Mechscapeworld ingame. There is currently a ban on naming RuneScape fansites, but it would be awesome if we were notified that we could mention Tip.It ingame. If we did, all the other fansites would be out of business. So much for exclusive info, then. Unless we instate some now. ;)

Wow, this is excellent! Whoever wrote the message stated "Unique Content". I'm totally looking forward to that. Wonder what will prevent other fansites from just copying the data in one way or another, though. Does Tip.It have any policies on information theft?

Patents run out and have to be renewed They don't correspond to runescape usernames anyway. They're the property of Jagex, and to be honest if you don't log in for an extended period of time and have never played on the character, jagex would be more than justified to delete your character. I'm actually not positive they don't do this actually. I once had an account named shrouded, and i remember the password. When i try to log on with it, it doesn't work though. Ah, thanks for telling me that; it is one thing I did not know about patents. I guess my example isn't justified then, and as I do not have a real-life situation to compare to, I find myself falling in favor of the pro-account deletion argument. I do believe that under some circumstance an account should not be deleted, whether this is 1000 total or a week's total of login time. Bongo

The people who register 'cool' usernames are taking advantage of their opportunities. If you had a great thought in real life, you would most likely decide to get a patent, so no one could steal your idea. Now, let's say you have no use for this idea at the moment, as you are occupied with another project, so you just let it sit around. While you're working on your other project, someone decides to enforce a law that 'all patented items not actively being created shall have their patents destroyed'. As of such, your brilliant idea has gone to waste. You cannot demand for people to spend time on their patents/RuneScape accounts, and for those who posted before me, arguing that a cool name are meant to be seen, I agree. Yet you cannot force anyone to play on whatever account they create.

Public Wants NHL To Knock Out Fighting I went to a boxing match and a hockey game didn't break out. It's quite a ridiculous proposition; Fighting relieves the tension between players/teams and lessens the amount of cheap shots/injuries, etc. How many people have been seriously injured by fighting as opposed to an unexpected boarding? Anyway, I'm one of your local Shark's fans apparently. I got to see them play against Vancouver on 1/20, it was quite an uneventful game until the last ~30 seconds, in which the Sharks tied it up and won in OT. Curse you, suspense! :lol:
