They can just never do no wrong is his eyes. As long as he stays f2p, yeah the game is exactly the same to him so he never sees anything being altered. I'd probably like them too if I had never given them money.
-
I dunno why, but the first thing that came to mind when I read this was "Hulk Lightyear." :?
-
Probably just so they can make movies without having to develop any new ideas.

I hope I don't get in trouble but here's the truth: They'll tax your nuts off. And not even give you anything worthwhile for your money.

People still believe theres a man up in the clouds watching everything we do. So yeah, I'm sure a lot of people believe it. :P

Don't forget. Everything you steal is tax free. Hell, they couldn't get Capone on all the alcohol they made, but they got him for not paying taxes on the money on the alcohol they couldn't prove he was making. Classic.

I'd be fine with that if they admitted to it, but they say they haven't, so taking them at their word, I'll criticize them. And personally, I don't find the lack of content inr RS happening at the same time as the intense development of Mechscape to be a coincidence. -.-

Commendations: Thank Those Who Have Done Good Deeds For You!
Me_Hate_Libs replied to Panzerlord's topic in General Discussion
I'd like to thank two people. 1) I'd like to thank Racheya for being pale, English jailbait. : 2) I'd like to thank Quelmotz for being a Jagex myrmidon who does whatever they tell him to do, loves whatever they tells him to love, and hates whoever they tell him to hate. ps Myrmidon (n.) - An unquestioning follower. :geek: -
It's not all about the mistakes. I forgive mistakes. I personally take issue with the way the game is being run and developed. That isn't a mistake. it's a difference of opinion. Do you think just because a single person's opinion about how the game is being run is going to cause miracles? Fat chance. If you hate how the game is being run so much, just quit, because an generally agreed opinion or company ethos is almost impossible to change. Oy vey, how badly you guys want me to quit is funny. Per, I'm waiting until the end of this upgrade year. If things pick up next year, I'll be happy. If not, then I very well may move on. Jaffy, nothing is bugging me at the moment as I'm fishing swordfish on f2p and am actually kinda happy. What bugged me as I played, before I let my membership last, was that I wasn't happy paying them money for what they were giving me. I wasn't satisfied. So I stopped. Now that I stopped paying them, I don't complain as much. I still however vocalize that I don't agree with the way the game is being conducted at the moment. And Quel, no I don't. But I'm not so naive as to think they'll change because of my opinion. And no I don't think it'll cause miracles. I'm not dumb so don't try to make me look like I am. And no,I will not quit![/size=200] So shut up about it. And quel, as far as you're concerned in your posts, Runescape is like a cloudy heaven and MMG is your own personal jesus floating around you showering you with love and praise. So I'm glad I'm not such a total mark and a Runescape myrmidon like you.

Trails have been pretty well screwed up. I hardly even did them anymore. If I had the space, I'd keep it and do it. If I didn't, I wouldn't hesitate to drop it to get some note pure essences or some runes or whatever.

I don't think them having a life has anything to do with it. It's their jobs... :|

Who cares about "the constitution", it's a document written like 230 years ago? You can't use a document written in the mid-1700s to run a 2009 society - you'll be quoting the bible next I assume? It was about freedom, really? Why was slavery still legal in most US states for a good few decades after the constitution was written? I think this whole "America was founded on freedom" idea is a pretty weak argument myself  I'm gonna assume you're either really naive or were born with a silver spoon in your mouth for that "needs to be doing something else or something more" comment - the idea that "anyone can get a good job/career if they they try hard and pull themself up" isn't quite that simple, shown by statistics on social mobility. what about people who were born with mental/physical disabilities, how are they meant to "Pull themself up", change their genes somehow? also some people simply don't have the people skills/intelligence required for high salaries - do they deserve to just die if they fall ill? The profit motive is good for a lot of industries, but healthcare just simply isn't one of them. The Constitution is brilliant. If it were enforced to it's exact letter, than it would be so simple and work so well it would hardly need changing. As far as slaves, well, people didn't really follow the constitution did they? They're totally screwed it up. It's the people that mess those things up. But fine, if we want to go into that, how about some simple enforcement of the Magna Carta? And no profit motive for health insurance? Hell yes it should. It would make them have to work for the money. If you removed the government influence, and the power they use, it could actually work. It's all one big corrupt affair. And my biggest problem probably isn't even the government healthcare. it's the fact they want to *force* me to pay for healthcare. If their proposals went through the way they wanted, I would be legally obligated to get health insurance.

They're difficulty levels are the difficult you have of completing a quest without destroying your computer. 75 times and it'll be hard not to put your computer outside of your house in a thrown arching trajectory.

You had a dream about an update that hasn't even been released yet. Yes, you're addicted. :geek:

But as a capitalist, if I make 40,000 and the other guy makes 20,000 I won't be taking any of his money to pay for myself. The way I'm putting it, we shouldn't have a flat tax or a progressive income tax. We should have a the Fairtax. I am not my brother's keeper. I never will be. I'm an Objectivist. It's nice to know though that Communism fails. As does Socialism and Fascism. So does government run Capitalism, like we have here. The point? Government fails. I'm not necessarily anti society. I am anti-collectivist. I am a whole-hearted individualist. The individual, the smallest minority on earth. The one who does not subvert himself to group nor state.
-
Yeah, but if I go too long without fletching I get the shakes.

At all. A progressive tax rate doesn't punish people for doing well. After all, they're still earning a profit of far more than a garbage man. The wealthy have a responsibility as a member of society to give back, and the best way to do so is with a higher tax rate; they can pay it easily and still not have to worry about necessities. As a Communist, I'm sure you believe that. But yes it does punish them. Doing better means they have to pay more taxes. That's a punishment. If they make more money they have to pay more money. I mean, it sends the message of "Why do any better than you have to? People will just takle money anyways?" Money, by the way, you have have NO right to. And that "responsibility to get back to society" nonsense is just a load of collectivist, anti-individual bullcrap.

What's honestly the problem here? Food, sex, porn, computers, gambling, drugs? Or the people who can't control themselves? :|

It's a quest called "Message for the Myreue." You take them a letter and chocolate cake. 500 agilty exp. Along with excuse that they're busy with more upgrayedds so unfortunately this quest is a little short. But trust them, they're Jagex. They wouldn't screw you over, right? -.-
-
That's why I gave the link for the Fairtax. http://www.fairtax.org You really should look at it sometime.

It was a joke, but okay. I was being sarcastic. Then again, font doesn't convey sarcasm well.
-
Oh, I don't play. I have a jo,b a girlfriend, freidns, and a life. Don't have time to waste on this.
-
No, they aren't fair, because they punish someone for doing something better. That isn't fair at all. That is penalizing someone for being better than someone at something. Hardly equal treatment under the law. Also, the children's labor wasn't a main tenet of Communism. it was a proposal, but not a part of his proposed Communist system. It still is a main pillar in Communism. Not every point in Communism is wrong, communism as a whole is wrong, and this point of communism is wrong.

Why do we associate the Confederate Flag with racism?
Me_Hate_Libs replied to The Dark Lord's topic in Off-Topic
The problem is one of appearences. The problem is the majority, but certainly not all, of people with Confederate flags tend to be rednecks with if not racist, certainly bigoted tendencies. Also the flag represents slavery. Maybe not for real, but that's what people remember most about the civil war. Slaves. That and people trying to convice us to respect the Confederate flag tend to be really annoying and beligerant. I've taken to calling them "flaggots."
