Yeah, because cutting off MechScape's only revenue stream is such a good idea. :roll: I'm also starting to tire of your pedantic (borderline childish) commenting of fixes; what you call "upgrayedd", they really are "fixes". They're working to fix issues that have plagued the game for long enough, while at the same time, trying to expand their game engine to work on multiple gaming platforms and improve legacy code. If you can't see it, perhaps your opinion of Jagex is a bit too jaded to appreciate the updates and fixes to the game as they come. Okay, you missed the point. I wasn't ranting. I wasn't criticizing. My point was I wish Mechscape was ready for release now. Becuase if it was released, it would, in my opinion be a better idea to take RS down for a few months and completely fix it, instead of fixing it as they go as they're doing now. All I was trying to do was say I think it would be better to do it that way than fixing it as they go. But hey, thanks for tearing me down over nothing. And if you don't like what I have to say, then add me as a foe and you won't have to see my posts. I'll do the same so I can avoid you're constant sucking up. BTW, nice to see you totally misuse the word pedantic. My posts don't really have anything to do with minute details, overly formal rules, and/or book learnings. No RS Heroes. I think a hero is someone who does something that means something. Nothing on RS truly means anything if we're honest. But I do admite Bluerose for getting 99 smithing on RSC. And being the first to do it. And charching people and arm and a leg for the stuff she smithed. Profit! :D

In the live Q&A they stated they had scrapped f2p skillcapes. Because of the lack of varied training methods, they didn't want to encourage people to do the same thing over and over again. Granted I think that is a total puss excuse, but hey, it's their call.

Skillcapes came out before that guy though. Wasn't really anyone in the game that could've given it to you. We don't have firemaking tutors either.

Duradell didn't because he doesn't have any combat skills that are level 99. They're all above 100.

I do feel kind of bad now that I think about it. With an update like this, you know their will be issues, which I can totally understand on an update like this. I have the feeling the day this is released, it'll be a very long day for some people over at Jagex. :(

Most of the excercise I get these days is chasing down the hookers I'm going to strangle. The little crackhead ones run fast too. :-#

I think it's something learnt from the development of mechscape, it's really emerging front runners of graphical advancements for an mmorpg, for me texture wise its better than WoW, also think this is preperation for consoles. Why to people keep meitoning consoles with this likes its something shocking and hidden when the dev blog clearly says runetek five is designed to support the current graphic methods as well as opengl direct x and various consoles. I think it's the same group of people who watch the History channel to learn about conspiracy theories.

I agree. Why I said for better or worse. I don't like people acting like Mechscape has zero impact on Runescape though.

Sure the pictures don't look all that improved at present, but once again with updates like these, what they are like when they are introduced is very inconsequential. It's what they're capable in the future that's worthwhile.

Omali, I've read quite a bit of their stuff when they've talked about Mechscape and I never remember them saying they hired a team specifically for Mechscape. I do remember them saying a few team members went from RS to Mechscape. At the very least, you know some of the better employees at Jagex were moved to Mecscape because of how good they are. Now i know it would noyl be a little, but this doesn't affect RS, even if slightly. The statement that the dvelopment of Mechscape doesn't affect Runescape, for better ot worse, in some way is just ignorant.

My house is a bit of a jumble, but it looks like a real house. Not an overly efficient training center. I don't train any skills there other than construction so it doesn't bother me.

I remember that well. That was around the time Andrew threatened to sue Tip.It over a T.I.Times article, wasn't it? Yah. But everyone loves MMG \ Yeah, around that time. It was insane. You couldn't criticize them because if you did you were damn near crucified. Now they don't have to do it because their players will do it for them. And no, they don't love MMG. They practically worship him. I neither love nor hate MMG. I don't like the way he's running the game, but that's just my opinion.
