I'm gonna sum up the updates so far this year and what is sure to follow. I'm not gonna call it good or bad or anything. I can express it with a single sentiment. *yawn*

Yeah, and it was an Evil Tree. And Soul Wars was a mini-game I won't ever play, though I don't say it's bad, just not my thing. This game is getting dull for me.

Oh trust me, I don't care about the minigames and other junk they've been adding either. My point is that it's another in a long line of just lackluster updates.

Pfft, don't care. No one really will. It's a paltry addition at best. Upgrade year? How about renaming it: "Take a year off Runescape and go play a few other games, come back next January and we'll have a good game and some nice updates coming out." Maybe that's too long to be catchy? Maybe they got rid of the BTS so that as soon as they post it, people won't complain to them for the whole month about their crapdates? :shame:

Personally, I think they should do a BTS every quarter and maybe be a little more vague about it. A few details, what type of content it might be(quest, mini-game, skill, etc), and the name of it. Then they'd have a 3 month window to put it out there.

I doubt there are that many, but you got to believe there must be at least a few RS players that don't read the updates and smoke a lot of pot while they play. I'd love to see them get one of the new Sandwich Lady or Abyssal Teleport randoms. They'd be like, "Whoaaa, this stuff is messing me up." :shock:

I guess all the teleporting really is ripping apart the fabric of space time. Look how much large that area of the Abyss got in such a short period. It's only a matter of time until it destroys everything. :ohnoes:

I'm not saying it's pre-set, but it's not random. It never really was. Remember if you were in a crowd and 10-20 people got randoms within a minute of each other? That's not exactly random. There are set parameters, but they're few and the rest is left to chance. It is still not nor has it ever been, "random."

It's pretty much why I spent the whole day yesterday fishing monkfish.

Um, actually if you get events less often because you complete them successfully and then you get different randoms so that you don't always get the same random, isn't this the exact opposite of the word "random?" :?

One of the options from the frog tokens is to add a costume point, but the little picture they use looks nothing like any frog costume already in the game. I was wondering if anyone clicked on it?

The option to choose a costume point, can anyone tell me if this is for existing costumes, or is there something new?

I doubt that highscores is a very big factor in the choice to get members, I would imagine it is something more along the lines of increased content that comes with membership. You completely ignored my joke. Therefore, you must die! :x :o *looks for joke* My mom says I'm funny... :ugeek: But anyway, it really wouldn't be a bad idea and not even the slightest bit difficult if they chose to do it. You could have a members rank and f2p rank. And if you're f2p, you'd just have the one rank.

Dude, did you even add a smiley onto that or anything? Talk about a wasted post. I still think they'll have more use down the road. They can make it epic if they want to.

I think this is another example of someone assuming that Jagex is all about getting to people to sign up for members. Yeah, some stuff is, but not all of it. I mean, if lightning strikes a tree in front of your house/apartment you'd think to yourself, "Man Jagex is really trying to get me to sign up for members, huh?"

Yeah, would be easy to just do it up so it only takes into account f2p available skills, kinda like what your f2p cb level is when they minus summoning.

I can't wait for the new "Smoking" skill where when you reach lvl 99 you're character develops various forms of cancer and dies of multi-systemic organ failure. :ohnoes:

um, yeah, that place where you do the Iban thing now, you'd enter it after you killed Iban and it was just a room with the well in it. No path through the mountains.

I think that WGS was to Grandmaster Quests as Regicide and Roving Elves were to Master Quests. Definitely the low difficulty end of the classification.

I was gonna get 99 Smithing. Then I said, "Oh wait, I have a life." So I went outside for a bit.

Now I'm sure I son't speak for everyone, but I'm sure that I speak for a lot of people when I say: "Screw Skillers!" :twisted: ... thank you. :geek:

Prsoally I'd like to see weapons capable of doing magical-melee much like several slayer monster have. However, since it uses no runes I think maybe it should give less than half the exp normal melee should give you, i.e. 1.5 exp per hit made with it. Slower yes, but a cheaper way to raise mage and less tedious. Good combat use too. Oh, and the damage should only have to do with you Mage skill and not any melee stats.

I don't think it will be, but I'd love it if it was way south, but not in the desrt, but at the Cursed Archipalego with Rabid Jack. No one would see it coming in the Pirate quest storylines. Maybe it would also explain all the undead pirates. ...Plus, we could use Soul runes to do some necromancy. Not a skill mind you, but a few spells in a spellbook.

Following the immediate release of any update I'm sure it does pour a bit of coin into the game, and while it is a burden, it is a necessary one to take that money right back out. Don't forget that those few items come in at a price that Jagex first institutes, it rises, stops, then slowly begins to settle. It's like the notion that you have to spend money to make money. In the case of Coinshare, you gotta pump in some GP before you can suck it back out.
