Yeah I think the spirit shield + Hasta combination is only used under the assumption that you're swapping them with the Zamorakian spear. Unless you're corping with friends, pro teams are probably going to get mad at you for just using the hasta since it's weaker.

Then I would say you should change your password now, and making sure your recoveries are still good.

Did you request a change of email address? If not, the email was likely fake and you should take precautionary steps and change your account credentials.
