  1. Many people in RSOF masses bring welfare gear, like monkfish, and other lower tier items that make death more likely (not bringing prayer pots is common too). Also people browse other tabs while corping a lot since death is so unlikely and even if you die it takes about 30 seconds to get back to the cave if you choose to keep your games necklace. There's also that urge, when you run out of supplies, to not bank so you don't miss the next drop. I know I sometimes get it, I missed an Elysian once while I was banking. :(
  2. Seriously, do not be discouraged from applying if you don't have experience in image editing and coding. When I started on crew I had next to no knowledge of HTML and Photoshop, but the crew members were so helpful and patient with me, and now I'm quite comfortable with them. :thumbup: Good luck to everyone!

  9. So I was making a song and realized that it fit the chords of Temple Desecrated, one of my favorite tracks in RS. So I decided to save what I was doing and then make a new version with the Temple Desecrated strings theme added over it. It hasn't really been edited/mastered besides the basic instrumentation so apologies for volume issues/cutoffs. In the middle there is a lot going on so it can be overpowering. Once I finish the original thing I was doing I'll probably come back to this and make it legit. Enjoy :) tl;dr this is an original I was working on with temple desecrated strings on top.   11. A must have for 48+ on ape atoll though. Yeah, it's a perfect aura for people looking to get 70 for Sara God Wars or any agility goals before 75. Then it does get useless.

  13. I do remember when I first posted this topic, over time a lot of methods we had previously used (coordinates, follow player) to get orientation started to get patched. It could be coincidental but maybe they are pushing immersion on players rather than allowing us to see these things. Personally I think this kind of investigating is more interesting than environment/game immersion... I would not be surprised if they set strict pan limits in instanced areas. I guess they think some players would have their gaming experienced "ruined" or something if they saw Waterbirth Dungeon next to Pyramid Plunder. I've gone back to use the orb of oculus in places where we had found hidden areas prior to orb release, and some of these areas don't exist anymore from what I can tell (they were probably moved). I doubt Jagex had been intently scanning this topic for things to patch though.

  16. Ah, okay in that more realistic sense, I'd say TDs. Not a lot of cost for gear, decent drops, not as grindy, + effigies.
  17. I know you say not to post Nex since it has the best loot, but honestly I'd no life it simply because Nex is the most interesting and challenging boss. Most of RS bosses are activate prayer, click attack, wait, eat if low health, etc. Nex is more complex and therefore enjoyable and satisfying to kill. Loots are also good.
  18. Hi all, The following content changes have been made to the guide: Worldbearers removed, bloodragers emphasized more. Conventional bind order for the first melee weapon bind was added. Primal Battle-Axe was set as equal to Promethium 2H since they are better/worse depending on the monsters you prioritize in room clearing. Section on class rings added. Recommendations for handling Guardian Rooms were changed. Made it clear that the guide was not recommending clearing DEs as someone said it was. Clarified that the keyer does not always have the GGS. Added Bovimastyx as a resource to gather. Added the idea that 1 person should be designated as herb/seconds gatherer for faster potion making.   19. If you would like to help with writing your concept of an advanced guide that would be great. I'll be first to admit you guys know more than I do with those things (kiting, etc). If that came into being we could merge the "basic" guide into something else. Also I'd really prefer not to start up a hostile discussion attacking everyone, and get some good results instead for everyone's benefit.
  20. Nice, I was hoping for DGS feedback. Good point about F2P vs. P2P. Luckily we do have an F2P Dungeoneer on crew who may be able to help. I'll add in that binding info. Much appreciated. Section on tier rings is definitely appropriate. I'll work on that. And I will remove the bit about worldbearers as, you're right, reading it again it sounds like they are recommended over other familiars. I will make the section about bloodragers a bit more noticeable. Dinos should be added. Sorry about that. Also about waiting to enter a GD, this was written with w117/w148 rage quitters in mind (which doesn't happen in DGS because everyone knows what they are doing usually) so I thought it might be wise to warn against suiciding/rushing in seeing as not all people who read the guide might be aware they could get killed. I'll make it more clear. Also yes, I will clarify that the GGS should be dropped at certain points. That was not worded well. Abbreviations section is a good idea. Will work on it. Thanks so much for the feedback. It really helps. I'll edit this post when everything's been added/changed. The statement you are referring to is "Do not waste time clearing dead ends unless you are in need of food drops" which implies that it is not recommended to do that unless absolutely necessary. From personal experience, there have been instances where there is an insanely difficult room in which suiciding is unrealistic and there are no ways of obtaining food that don't deter from the path (i.e. all GD food has been exhausted, etc.) However I will change it to make that more clear. Also, I realize for the extremely experienced players in DGS this is not an advanced guide. Tip.It's audience is much broader than that. The guide details some more complex methods relative to the original skill guide which lays out what the skill is. A lot of people have no idea what keying is, or rushing, DPSers, GD clearing, etc. I was anticipating DGS feedback in a positive way so we could work together to change the guide for the better. Please tell me what bad information you see so it can be edited.
  21. W148 Karma 5 minutes into the dungeon some guy suicides a GD that I told everyone to leave, and rage quits because he died twice. He was unhooded. A few minutes later... :rolleyes: :lol:
