  1. The only thing I can think of is it may be overheating. My laptop is quite old and stables around 49C when playing RS, having near 60C is far too high.
  2. I agree with this, sure, older toolkits were better when there was a way to switch worlds without a waiting time. I do believe Jagex will eventually modify their client and I'm sure someone will soon release a really decent modified version of the official Client seeing as they provided the source code for it. The user interface part (jagexappletviewer.jar) is closed source. Only the Java runtime environment (OpenJDK) and the launcher exe are open source. If that's the case (closed source) I'm very surprised I haven't seen a decompiled version somewhere on the internet yet, maybe people just aren't bothered any more :( uhm what you gain from decompiling the client lol? Besides is easy as hell, anyone can do it manually with ease. JAVA is interpreted, not compiled: so the file holds all code as it is written. Not decompile, I mean de-obfuscate (I think), so basically you could edit the interface, etc.

  5. Wow, I might do that Quest just for the Mining XP reward :) lol
  6. I don't believe so, I feel staking will be how it was before - Defence based, and mostly luck :( Thank you very much :)
  7. Have people tried equipping the ring of visibility (I think that's right) and talking to the people that give you the Ghostly robes since the update to the "voices" on the doors? Maybe they know about Nex, sort of as another hidden update/leak? Or do they disappear after you've gotten the Robes? I can't remember.
  8. It'll be interesting to see if Jagex change it if loads of people complain.
  9. Added a new level-up :) I'm progressing pretty well I think. I won't be PKing on 3HU but I might make another account (if I have the time), I probably will keep skilling though as I'm past PKing now, even with the update I don't think it'll be as profitable as it used to be.
  10. I think you'll be fine for beginning part of 2011 (until around Spring/Summer). Once SD is released I'm sure they'll concentrate mostly on that as a Jagex team (I know RS have their own staff and SD is a different staff) but Jagex meetings will generally be about pushing SD, I'm pretty sure of that. Depending on how successful SD is for the year, I think 2012 could be a slow year for RS, possibly 2013 will see a stand-still on RS similar to RSC was, until they find a way to boost revenue again.
  11. Gravestones will stay, new ones will also be added. Like the post above says, they will just not appear in the Wilderness, just anywhere else on the map.
  12. If you mean the Godsword, I think it will drop to around 10M and stable around there.
  13. I'm not entirely sure, it was a number of years ago now :( It was definitely more than Tel was doing in that image per 2 minutes. I don't know, but that's an awful lot for one day (2nd Jan, today).
  14. These are each level-up of my goal, hopefully I can remember to screenshot every one of them. Level Ups [spoiler=Level 90 Fishing (20-12-2010)] [spoiler=Level 72 Thieving (25-12-2010)] [spoiler=Level 73 Thieving (28-12-2010)] [spoiler=Level 74 Thieving (01-01-2011)] [spoiler=Level 75 Thieving (02-01-2011)] [spoiler=Level 76 Thieving (02-01-2011)] [spoiler=Level 77 Thieving (03-01-2011)] [spoiler=Level 78 Thieving (15-01-2011)] Let me know what you think, how I'm getting on and such! Happy 'scaping!
  15. I can happily say I was getting a tiny bit less Xp/p/hour than Tel and I was using normal Dragon bones and it was before the "all" thing :) If you're wondering how; I had people bring me the bones to my house :) Oh, I wasn't using Brawlings either.
  16. It wouldn't surprise me if he somehow had the ability to do say a "magic ranged attack" which was both Magic and Range based so you couldn't "protect from" both of them.
  17. I'm sure I read somewhere on the RSOF posted by a Jagex staff member saying Gods get more powerful over time and that since Zaros has been hidden for such a long time it would be harder than he thinks to seek revenge.
  18. Firstly, the Ancient Curses aren't Zaros's own Prayers, also, Jagex have said Zaros is not evil, only the empty lord.
  19. Please, PLEASE don't talk about things you don't know. I hate that. Back when the hitpoints update came around, they said they were going to work on armors with a permanent hitpoint boost, and that update made it possible. Kind of like sara brews and rocktails, but permanent as long as you're wearing the armor. So I doubt it'll work like you say. If that's the case then you're right, it'll be like say 1200/990 life and when you heal you can go back to 1200 I guess?
  20. Yep. I think however, in game people (npcs) say he does bad, yet some say he does good, maybe he's also a "balance" similar to Guthix.
  21. Surely the God who stabs another god in the back (figuratively and literally) is a greater threat? Plus who said Zaros was evil? isn't that one of things people debate? Zaros isn't evil, he did what he wanted, when he wanted as far as I can make out.
  22. I believe the "life point boosting armour" will work something like this; it soak-absorbs damage and adds them onto life-points, similar to Guthan's set (randomly).
  23. I doubt it, not if it's boosting life-points, it would be way too over-powered if it did both.
  24. Magic (Ancient Magic specifically)... He does? I thought Azzandra taught him the Magicks?
  25. I'm not sure, but wasn't there like a fight that broke out, Guthix woke up and shouted "stop", and with that everyone stopped fighting?
