  1. Just to be 100% clear (for anyone unsure), there is no chance I was keylogged. I haven't been on the computer that I "only" use for RuneScape, I have a laptop I use for everything else which I've probably only used 5 times since March. I've been on my Xbox 360 generally and haven't had time (or interest if I'm honest) for RuneScape which doesn't even use the same connection that I use for RuneScape. So the only option is that someone tried recovering my account over and over again.
  2. I think that's what has happened, someone has obviously recovered my account after loads of attempts and eventually got through. I think it's clearly stupid that Jagex don't see that an account is inactive though and that if you're recovering an account from say another country, they do nothing to stop it.
  3. There's no way I would get keylogged, click silly RS links or anything. What annoys me the most is the fact that clearly my account was inactive and I had no idea just how many times people had tried recovering my account. Jagex should have a "lock account" option to people who either require or quit for a while. Obviously I know Jagex never replace items, but as it has happened to me I can honestly say I doubt I'm ever going to play again. Although they are only pixel items, it all took me over 8 years to get, not to mention all the 99s I had banked for BSXP's... armours, rares, etc. Ah well, no idea what will happen, I suppose I could ask Jagex to maybe take legal action on the offender, but I doubt they'd do such a thing.
  4. This is a little rant so read it or not.... Basically, I haven't logged in since March this year, I get a couple of messages on FB and Twitter telling me that I've been hacked into (my RS account) which I think is obviously not true as I haven't logged in since March and I only login to RS on one laptop, which is fairly secure to say the least, so keylogging isn't an issue. I logged in (after recovering my account!) just now after getting in from work (3am) and find my bank empty of rares/cash, armours, weapons, etc. Bank pin removed and all my recovery questions changed so someone either knew all the information about me (highly unlikely) or someone at Jagex wasn't paying much attention to whoever tried to "recover" my account, as there's simply no way they could have had access to my old transaction IDs and old bank card details. Anyway, rant over, has anyone else been targeted lately or is it just me? (Like I said, I've been inactive since March).
  5. Possibly just release a mouse with the game, that's what I expect anyway. Unless they made something like use the D-pad (or analog) to move mouse cursor then have buttons on the pad do certain options eg: (xbox as example) a - right click on hovered item x - first option on hovered item y - second option on hovered item b - third option on hovered item That's all I can think of anyway. Besides, obviously Jagex would have to somehow allow all features on 'runescape.com' not cost an Xbox Live membership, where as PS3 has a built in browser and it's free to use (I'm not sure about the Wii).
  6. But its not really fun, I mean a 15% increase in damage is nothing... I mean, you can wear Void and receive that any way, so why not make it more interesting with say 25% more damage.
  7. What a stupid idea by Jagex (seriously).
  8. Sweet, cheers for updating them :) These look epic in signatures:
  9. Wasn't that were the house with jail-gates was? Surrounded with Guards? Epic place to train on Classic it was.
  10. Quite the opposite (2nd line), I completely agree with the bottom line, I'll even add to it; hardly any one knows of my name any more.
  11. Yes but only inside the mini-games. Outside they are statless. ? where does it say that? All I saw in the Kb was that they provide extra 15% damage aplifier when in minigames if using the full set. EDIT: nevermind...I was being blind... "Hybrid armour can be obtained from various minigames. These pieces of armour are entirely cosmetic except for when they are in the following PvP minigames" The +strength bonus is anywhere on the map. The +15% bonus is for the mini-game, so in the mini-game you get +strength and +15%.
  12. Lol yep, crash like mad. Hello prices of herbs and such, sky rocketing lol.
  13. Skinny legs.
  14. I heard their future games will all have an official "rwt" basically, you can buy coins from Jagex themselves, buying from other(s) is at your own risk. Not sure if they'd implement this into RS, but I don't see any problem in it any more, they've already made the game too easy.
  15. This is personally aimed at Elias, I never knew you, not even really heard of you (because I quit) but: If you do decide to quit, it's hard to get back into the swing of it properly, I temporarily quit several years ago and have tried to get back into it time and time again, but real-life situations take over and eventually you fill the time you used to play RuneScape with more valued stuff (whatever it may be). So take it from me, if you're thinking you'll quit temporarily and come back, it won't happen (judging from my experiences), think more along the lines of; am I ready to quit fully? Personally, if you have reached the goals you wanted initially (not changed after you got them) then I'd say quit (that was the reason for me), if you did initially set your goals to quite simply "complete the game" then don't quit until you've done it or you'll feel a hole in the game which you once loved.
  16. I think I found it :) I must have borrowed around 700M or so, I think I wanted to see if it said "M" or "B" next to the coins as no one new back then? (I'm guessing so). Also, judging from what I'm wearing, I'd say that was around 2005. Edit: Bloody hell, look at those Arrows and Arrow-tips, back then, Bronze/Iron were like 25Gp each, I'd hate to think what those Steels cost me! I must have been one rich guy back then, sadly not now lol.
  17. Awesome, can't wait to set mu SkyHD up with it so I can play RuneScape 24 hours a day and record the TV shows I love via the game.
  18. Was the first person to take a pictuer of 1b gp... and he borrowed it all from a bunch of friends .. took a picture and gave it back to his friends I didn't borrow it all, but I did borrow it yes, I borrowed around 400M of it I think, I was probably no where near the first to own 1000M coins. I can't remember what the picture even looked like but I'm sure it was when I was quite low defence, maybe 15 or 20, back in the day lol.
  19. Am I the only one who thinks this entire thing is a bit ridiculous?
  20. The easiest way to temporarily stop bots would be every couple of days update their client with different ID numbers for objects, eg, just add a number '1' to the end of the object, or a number '4', quite simple, although there are bots that use "names" instead of "numbers" eg; open "Door" or eat "Lobster", these would be harder to stop.
  21. I don't think anyone will get all maxed until maybe 2013, especially if 1 or maybe 2 new skills are released next year.
  22. I've heard the max price will be £99, (meaning if you buy the full price one, the £179... they'll refund so much), but this is just a rumour. It's a shame I don't really play any more, I'd actually go because they didn't put it on the SuperLeague Challenge Cup final day like last time, maybe I'll get persuaded by someone to actually go.
  23. I always thought it was instant, regarding any disconnect whether it be for sysupd or x-out or log out.
  24. Oh I whole heartedly agree, most people have no idea who I am anymore, it's actually quite nice logging in (whenever it is, maybe once every 3 months) and not getting pestered all the time :) I wouldn't have put my name in the pkers/stakers list of RS2 either as I wasn't a big fan of it and hardly ever did it. My stats were more for-show on RS2, was awesome been the first pure to max and having no one close for almost a year, now-a-days I think there's accounts like mine was made and completed within 3 months or so right? In fact, how many are maxed these days, does any one know? I'm not cocky (as much) any more, I've really mellowed a lot, it's surprising really lol. Actually, he's still not maxed. If you want to do melee only though, he was still 10 months later than me (he was 2nd) person melee-wise to max out if I remember rightly. -------------------------------------------------- ================================================== -------------------------------------------------- Back to the original post though, my opinion: N0valyfe, as I remember he came into RS2 (not sure if he played RS1 much) but he got all 99s in the space of under 2 years I believe, that in itself is a huge, huge achievement and definitely deserves a mention. Of course Zezima deserves a mention, he always should get one.
  25. They're not influential, they're just pkers/stakers. To answer your question, yes actually, I am, I honestly don't see why not.
