  1. I'm starting to dislike the fact that pretty much every update requires some sort of Dungeoneering level or link to it of some sort, it's as if RuneScape is a 1-skill favoured/prioritised game now.
  2. I think myself, for showing Pures/Lower defence accounts could still be created with success after the combat system changes from RS1 to RS2 (only 3 dominant levels per combat, not 4).
  3. That underlined/bold is exactly what they want to do, they've mentioned it loads of times before. Really? I've never heard them mention it before, care to link me a source? I'm not sure whether it was in-game or forums, but I've definitely heard of it, I also know they want to do it for their next MMO as well.

  5. The actual "idea" of the idea is generally different to those content developers, ie; Mark has had the idea for a few more of the ones that you've actually listed as what he's done, at the end of the day, without him being head of content, you'd not see hardly any of the updates you see today, when he wants something he pushes and pushes (nags lol xD).
  6. Clearly you're unaware of just how long this would take, plus, it wouldn't be a browser based game (on-the-fly gaming), which is what Jagex want RuneScape to always be. Besides, as far as I'm aware, RuneScape is pretty much written in C, it just uses a language that they've created within it, to make things easier so to speak.
  7. I agree with what you've said here entirely. This is coming from a player that once loved playing RuneScape (Classic) and then finally getting into RS2 and where I'm at now is simply; I don't feel any "urge" or anything to even log-on, generally the people I met through RS have my phone number or Facebook, etc, so there's no real need to play. I guess the bottom line is you set your goals no matter what they are (mine being the first pure to max out) when you reach them you feel like there's not much point playing any more, with all the new additions to the game... you could easily make new goals but it's more too "easy" now to reach goals. Especially with the way how Jagex prefers "new players" to "existing players" (eg; lower to higher updates).
  8. RS won't ever come to mobile devices, clan-chat system will though however. The only thing you may see RS playable on is such apparatus like iPads and such, essentially hand-held computers. PS. He sort of looks like Simon Cowell lol.
  9. I see RuneScape maybe having 1-2 (2 at the very most) "good" years left in it, after that, who knows. 10. When is the Easter event removed? It usually states somewhere in the news post but I can't find it anywhere.
  11. I know I'm very late on the matter but I'd of said it was fake right from the start, simply because if it was real the person would have given their friends billions as there would be no way Jagex would dare roll the game back several days. Also, if it was real they would have simply bought countless amounts of armour, weapons, runes and everything.
  12. Knew about the zoom thing for a while (the zoom-out) has been around since RS Classic (modified clients though). I always preferred RS zoomed out.
  13. If Jagex didn't want bots back as heavy as it used to be, they should have never brought back free trade or wilderness. I just had a quick read of the RSOF post, only 20,000 caught so far? That's terrible, try adding another 0 to that number, that's what I'd expect to be banned within a space of 2 weeks.
  14. Barrow gloves, Fire Cape, Fighter Torso, Berserker ring(i) they'll all probably most certainly be used, especially the last 3.
  15. Due to an editing error, the ‘wear’ option on party hats will no longer be the default option. Be careful when donning one, as we have corrected it to the intended ‘tear’ left-click option, for those who need to clear inventory space for ranaar. That would be seriously epic. Edit: they made typo with ranaar, it should be ranarr ;)
  16. I think something like everyone has a skull over their head but won't affect if you die (will be same as normal) mainly due to the fact that wildy is back etc, it's a rubbish idea but that's what I think.
  17. Yes, but they run the update on several computers well before it even goes "live". Runescape get a content patched update almost every week, one week is barely enough time to test anything. Before any content patch gets released in Wow it has to go through the public test realm for over a month or 2, tests by some of the most knowledgable players. It is not the same time frame. You are aware that Jagex have these updates completed months before their public release right? They check them for weeks and weeks before they're "live".
  18. Yes, but they run the update on several computers well before it even goes "live".
  19. JMods can't trade players though, so even though they can spawn whatever inv they want, they can't trade it. They can modify your bank's content though, so why would they need to trade you? Don't think it was likely an inside job, I think it probably slipped their mind. Not surprised that it was discovered so quickly though - when you have an update that modifies drops, the first thing players will do is test it out. So something that might slip under the noses of 20 people at jagex testing it for 10 hours each won't slip past 20,000 players playing 20 minutes each. And the QA didn't think to try it at the monster with one of the highest valued drop tables? o_O. How exactly did they test it... Killing cows, goblins, and possibly if they were too lazy... Steel dragons? They said it wasn't just that one monster, and that it was several boss monsters... Surely if you were testing something that can change the probability of a drop on any monster you'd initially think; boss monsters and go test that right?
  20. JMods can't trade players though, so even though they can spawn whatever inv they want, they can't trade it. They can modify your bank's content though, so why would they need to trade you? That's true, some guy got sacked a few years back for "snooping" into players bank accounts, my account was one of them, literally on MSN I was being told exactly (to the number) what was in my bank by some guy and I'd not released a recent bank account picture at the time. Edit: The same guy also leaked information about what can only be described now as StellarDawn.
  21. Sadly it's not up to Mark to decide whether a roll should commence or not any more, they've done a few roll backs before due to bugs and glitches. One bug I remember was when there wasn't actually a Warriors Guild lol.
  22. It's true, females do play RuneScape, I've met a few of them IRL ;)
  23. An "inside job"? I'll keep it short and sweet as long topics tend to be tedious and don't get read properly, thus discussion on the topic generally reads as off topic... I personally believe the recent RoW glitch (I'm using this as it's the most recent) is more of a "glitch" than met the eye, I mean, they have many, many QA (Quality Assurance - these people get paid over £20,000 a year to check the game for bugs, amongst other things obviously) guys at Jagex Ltd now, not compared to 5-10 years ago, how can a simple bug be found and exploited so quickly? And for Jagex to turn around and say "slight bug, no roll back", like I said in the topic title, I believe it's more of an inside job where they let little bugs like these slide into the live game and let "friends" wealth-up on them. How do you feel about it and what do you think about all this? Reason for no roll back - possibility The game is saved at 07:00 GMT, therefore a roll-back of over 6 hours game play would obviously be too far. No roll back - counter I once read in the RSOF (posted by a JMod, maybe Andrew himself even) that the game is saved before the update timer starts, meaning a possible roll back would be easily applied.
