  1. Grats, you've certainly come a long way :P
  2. Didn't get up to too much today, was mostly just doing some WC whilst watching vids and NBA games. Managed to knock out 93 WC which was nice, was sort of expecting to leave WC till one of my last 99s, however recently I've been doing a fair bit of it and it doesn't seem too bad so I figure I might try and wrap it up as my next 99 after Hunter. I also spent a bit of time at Charm Sprites to get the enhanced stick, both for the extra exp it'll give me plus the fact that its a Comp req. Only 45 total levels to go now. Thats about all for today, short update but expect more soon :) 2451/2496 Total Enhanced Yaktwee Stick 93 Woodcut
  3. It really depends if you are there for mining experience, or money. For money I am honestly not sure exactly what is better to do as I have been absent from the game for quite a while, but I am sure theres better stuff out there than mining gold. If you are there for experience then your set up is fine, although the golden mining suit is obviously more preferable if you have access to it. For the fastest exp rates you should really be taking full advantage of the new drop functions on the action bar, making your tort redundant allowing you to use either a Lava Titan (83 summoning, worth getting if you plan to train for a long time, say 99) or Obsidian golem. That will speed your experience per hour up quite a lot, although at the cost of a little profit. To answer your final question, yes Urns are worth using now seeing as you can drop ores so quickly. Depending on how much you want to afk you can bring different amounts of urns, the more you bring the more you have to pay attention to dropping, as a general rule. Hope that helps :)
  4. Either a guthix halo or one of the tiara rewards from the Holy & Hawthorn holiday event
  5. Stats would be useful :P As JacTise said magic defence won't be necessary throughout the caves, and as you're meleeing you won't need the extra range attack. Unless however you wish to range the 360s rather than attack, run off, attack, run off etc. In that case bring the dh top and bandos chest. As for cape it would depend on your stats :P
  6. Well you're right in wanting to use a DFS over BSS. As far as everything else, just borrow a pair of claws until you can afford them and invest any money you would have spent on them in prayer. Without turmoil (and perhaps a chaotic, not sure) theres a pretty good chance that you will be able to be crashed, depending on what times you would go of course. So my advice is get the DFS, get a chaotic rapier/ls (if you don't already have) and that should work out quite well with overloads. Of course getting Turmoil would be a good thing to work towards as well.
  7. Glad to see this is back, used to be one of the better things on TIF
  8. They are only really useful for boss hunting, and even then the only places I use them are Arma, Corp and TD's. For slayer you are kind of just wasting money using anything above a normal prayer potion and the same goes for pking, although a few restores to go with brews of course.
  9. As Sy said Godswords do not really have much of a use these days. If you are planing to train strength then your best bet would be the brackish blade, as I assume you aren't considering going for a chaotic at this point in time. It would be worth getting 75 attack anyway, just for the extra accuracy or even 80 if you eventually decide to get a chaotic.
  10. 1. When he is going to range you will see something that looks to be part of its tail rise up and then proceed to fire it at you with one hand. If you are playing with sound effects it sounds sort of like a whip attack. For the magic attack the demon will lean backwards and then just fire off a shot. They generally lean back before changing attack styles but once you get used to this you'll know that it takes a few milliseconds longer for it to switch to mage rather than range, thats one way of telling. 2. It depends which spot you use. If you use the north spot and you have 3 demons lured, and are killing the middle one, a lot of the time the western demons special can still hit you. This can be avoided though if you lure it behind the small pile of rocks rather than the bigger rock, although this takes a little practice. If you are using the southwest spot I do not know of any way to get its attack to not hit you, although someone else may. 3. If it has a shield up and is praying melee, range it. You won't hit with darklight in that situation so just keep ranging until it changes. With only 81 summoning I would recommend a titan over a bunyip, it will be more useful. Hope that helps

Unless its herb, I often see people at 117 dunge offering 50k or so to assist you in herb. I find it kinda funny
  12. CLS

onedaysoon replied to Ezkaton's topic in Help and Advice
CLS is a pretty amazing piece of weaponry, although depending on how much you like/dislike dunge if you mainly plan on Nexing it may not be the best thing to get. If however you think you could quite easily stick out another 200k tokens then I would definitely reccomend getting the CLS. It is also very useful at a lot of other places other than Bandos so I'm sure you'll find it very useful in the long run.
  13. Haha as much as i would like that it's a little out of my budget :P though that setup looks AMAZING with the (G) ornamental kits on it. Maybe just go the plate legs and square then, or even just plate and legs?
  14. Can't go wrong with a DFH, Dplate, Dlegs and Dsquare all with (or) kits. Although that will be kinda expensive :P
  15. The link I posted shows the cls is more accurate. In the best situations the cls is less than 2% better than the rapier which is not definitive at all, doesn't take into account overkill hits, and only includes graar. When you factor in the fastor minion kills and therefore better soul split healing (while they're dead they arent damaging you and you get to save prayer) the rapier is better. Saying the cls wins 9/10 based off of personal observation (aka he thinks its that and has never actually tested it so he pulled the figure out of his ass) is just silly and has no place in H&A from a fun or an efficiency standpoint. The minion kills are slightly faster yes, can be quite drastic if cls decides to hit low multiple times, but it will give you faster boss kills and thats generally when you take the most damage. As for saving prayer you generally get enough res drops to cover that, as well as the altar every 10 minutes. The reason I am favouring cls in this situation is because if someone is attempting to crash you and you have similar gear/stats, both using claws etc then you will still be able to get the boss kill 9/10. Although you will probably only get 1-2 minion kills. I have tested this a few times when people have tried to crash me, and failed so no I did not pull it out of my ass (that doesn't seem very fun tbh :o) and finally if you want to see bigger hits, go the cls. Theres your fun standpoint.
  16. SS is the best str training in game bar the crapier, and the best waterfiends weapon bar the cmaul. Zspear is beaten for stab weak creatures by korasi's and crapier, crush by the ss and the cmaul. The only place you need a z spear is corp. Well yeah that's kind of why I was saying he should keep it, incase he does decide to Corp. Also the difference in charms per hour at waterfiends with a ZS vs SS is less than 10 difference, which does add up I guess but by selling his SS he free's up a bit more cash.
  17. Welcome back, good to see some of the old tip it kids coming back :P
  18. Sell the SS. It's quite redundant these days unless you plan to do a lot of Waterfiends, even then a ZS really isn't far behind it.
  19. I do not have any calculations, but this is based on my own personal experience. At Bandos a CLS will generally outclass a Rapier and D defender, 9/10 anyway assuming the rest of the gear is more or less the same. For the minions unless CLS gets a nice 400+ in the first hit it's usually faster to use a rapier. So with Overloads and Turmoil a CLS is the better choice for more and faster kills per trip.
  20. Well greaters have more than 350 health, so you didn't two hit that one. You sir have been trolled <3
  21. All of the rewards you mentioned I would suggest getting, along with maybe the scroll of life which is very nice to have for farm runs. I think after that you'll probably be going past 99 if you get anymore, but unless you have an Ely/Divine I would recommend getting at least one of the sheilds, either eagle eye for things like Arma/Nex or Chaotic Kite for Bandos.
  22. Adding onto that, in a FFA situation whoever deals the most damage on either the boss or minion will get that KC.
  23. That's not true, they simply changed the mechanics. A few of us have figured out how to still use them so they are still a very viable option.
  24. As far as prime drops, dk's tend to drop something 1/30-50 kills for me so around there. With your proposed 10k kills thats 200-333 drops or so.
