  1. So I've been back for 3-4 weeks so far, and now that I have gotten used to EoC, I rather like it. I'm up to 67 div, and broke 2400 total. Got drygore, and all 3 kiln capes. Will post pictures later if I keep this blog up. Hi to all my old friends, most of whom it seems have quit 'scape.
  2. I'm going to need to see screenshots before I give any credence to that claim, since based on the statement by Jagex you can't win more than once per person. Not saying there isn't a bug, it's possible, but I've seen no evidence of it, and until I do I'm going to have to base this off the information we have, which is you can only win once. Quote from the FAQ on multiple wins: No. Using multiple tickets for a daily raffle will give you a greater chance of winning, but you will only ever win one prize from a day's raffle.
  3. You need to know how many people entered multiple tickets too. No that is redundant information as far as actually winning goes. The number of tickets you enter matters because each one directly increases your chance of winning. However, each multiple ticket someone else enters does NOT do the same. If I enter 10 tickets and you enter 10 tickets, I increase my chance of winning by 10, but you only decrease my chance of not winning through your winning by 1. That is because although you may have more tickets, only 1 can win. So if 20k people enter for 20k prizes, but everyone puts in 10 tickets, it'll show there being 200k tickets. But the chance of winning isn't 1/10, its 100%. And you go from there. 5k prizes, you need to know how many people entered as well as how many tickets to determine odds. Remember, no one can win more than once. Since we can't know the total number of people, only tickets entered, it's going to be rough estimations. But take darts. 250k entered for 20k prizes, but odds weren't 20/250 to win. I entered 8 tickets, for example. If everyone entered 8 tickets, that would mean each ticket you entered would have a 20,000/31,250 chance to win. Better than 65%. But again we cant know that variable.
  4. So what? Nature runes are easy to get for free. By killing monsters that drop them commonly like basilisks or crafting them myself. Except it's not free. It costs time. And even if Nats were worth less than the alch, if you got them yourself the time spent is far more valuable than the alch price. And since they are worth less than nats you're better off selling the nats, This is like, the most basic economics imaginable. Maybe you find it fun, and if so play that way. But don't defend it on any other grounds than "I enjoy it." because it's an indefensible stance.
  5. You need to know how many people entered multiple tickets too.
  6. Nope, you have 14x as good a chance of winning. The fact that you don't think so doesn't matter. All you have is your "hunch" that more tickets doesn't increase chance of winning, compared to the documentation which says the opposite. Essentially, taking that stance is an ignorant and illogical one.
  7. No clue what I'll do. Don't really care to get any of the buyables I need. Probably use up my blue charms, finish off any 90s I need for PoP if I don't have em already, and just do w/e.
  8. Won darts with 10 or so tickets. Got 10 snap seeds, 30 snap herbs, and 10 yew seeds. Bah.
  9. Technically speaking the reason they aren't worth banking w/o yak is because it's more efficient to slay quicker and spend the time saved on better money makers. But if you don't care about overall efficiency, it doesn't matter.
  10. Well a whole bunch of worlds DC'ed last night. I died at QBD as a result, couldn't log in for 28 minutes. Let's see if they'll refund.
  11. Ya, I log in and don't know who some people are, since I can only see their last RSN. If they've changed it more than once, I have no way of knowing right off.
  12. To be more specific, how much does each strength point increase DPS? Going from the 21 of onyx I to 25 on archer/warrior I is about how much DPS, for example. Also, it thus seems, in regards to armor, that it isn't something to ever worry about, with a few heavy damage/tank type rolls which I don't worry about ATM. Ye, I know the combattriangle and all that, so I'm looking for technical answers to understand better. Example, each 100 armor reduces enemy chance to hit by X percentage, etc. Just trying to understand how it works, so I can min/max.
  13. Listed are a few technical/mechanical questions I have about the EOC system. 1.)Armor, what is its value in reducing damage, and is it every useful? Does it impact damage taken or only the chance of being hit? 2.) Style bonus does what, increased damage, increased crit chance, increased accuracy? 3.) Tank v Power armor. Where does something other than bandos/arma/sub matter, either tanking or for damage? I'm assuming weapons are king. I've got bandos/arma and gano, with RCB/Cstaff/Cclaws but I'm not sure what to aim for next. Considering MH drygore mace. How long does PoP take to get useful things out of such as DT darts. ATM I'm basing plans on being here for 2 months before I break again for a different MMO's release, so keep that in mind for whether its worth spending days/weeks on new gear, meaning less time rebuilding bank or leveling skills or w.e. Basically, the mechanical questions and some ideas of what to do next are what I'm looking for :P
  14. 1-51 div today. Boring but i can AFK it while I raid lol
  15. Those capes sound amazingly cool.
  16. I know older people who play RS. In other MMO's like WoW, I know tons of older people who play. I'm in my early 20s, and I'm the youngest in my raid team.
  17. Demons are supposed to look pretty?Color me several shades of surprised. Illogical assumption. Looking terrible now doesn't necessarily have anything to do with a beauty scale, nor does it imply they looked beautiful before. You're assuming he meant beauty, and not something like a cool design, an iconic look, or even a neat look before. I'm sorry, I forgot this was a game where people prefer ancient, out-of-place textures and models.Another illogical response to an initially illogical stance. Do you really think those are valid arguments? Oh yay, this guy is back again. /sarcasm Indeed. Logic is important. People tend to not use it enough.

  22. The difference being that RS bosses are hard more because the system is less developed and less responsive than other games. Put a RS boss in the WoW engine, even keeping everything else the same, and the higher responsiveness in movement and stuff would make a huge difference. Its hard because of the type of game RS is, at least in large part. Being able to do certain bosses well requires a different type of skill.
