  1. That's like saying it's the banks fault because they didn't lock up the money good enough to keep robbers out. Faulty logic. The problem isn't "solved" then...it's passed off. I suppose it would temporarily change those issues, but it's circumventing rules in order to artificially enjoy those spoils. Perhaps they could remove experience gained for casting and only award it in cases where monsters actually have the potential for damaging you or if you are doing damage.
  2. I remember training with entangle or something way back when on a monk in the cage in varrock's castle...the difference there was that I had to click each time on the spell and on the monk... To me, that's training. It certainly wasn't AFK. What these people are doing is wrong. It doesn't involve being alert at the computer. Attacking without trying to kill isn't necessarily wrong, but there absolutely MUST be a line drawn somewhere. You can't "legislate intent", so the only thing Jagex can do is say "you must be at the computer, otherwise it's considered macroing" or something. I say permaban these players or reset their characters...yes it's a gray area, but every time you allow something like this, you make the next questionable gaming activity more likely to be allowed...until bots and the like are back in...and the game is no longer fun for the main base of players.
  3. Do you mean the Temple Trekking guide is wrong? I'm just guessing, but I think the crew might like just a tiny bit more direction on where to look.
  4. long sharp claws - Goraks 9 tails - Green (regular or Brutal), Blue, Red, Black (regular or KBD), Bronze, Iron, Steel, Mithril, Skeletal Wyvern spine - snake pit on Crash Island bandos - bork or general graardor sabre teeth - kyatt (hunting with pit traps and tease sticks)
  5. I don't remember having fond feelings toward the Rag and Bone Man quest. It wasn't that it was especially difficult or even time-consuming (though at times I think it was both). I think my less than enthusiastic feelings were that the quest and resulting sub-quest were tasks for the sake of tasks. I love quests, but I'd have rather had them set aside certain monsters that only appear after killing a counted number of regular beasts which would then only guarantee, say, a 50/50 chance of dropping the bone, not to mention some better than usual items. As it is, it's simply "go kill these" until you get the drop, which could be right away or only after five or six dead beasts. The good part about those quests is that they are easy to complete, but that also happens to be a drawback. We wait so long for these quests to come out, get such hype from Jagex (especially when an update is scheduled after a "skipped" week), and only get something that takes a couple of hours, and most of that time is figuring out where to go to get the drop without having to compete for kills with other gamers. Were I to finish this quest next week or next month, I'd easily be able to find space to do my killing. This latest update is a little more challenging than the last, at least relatively speaking. I'm a much stronger player now and have much better gear, so some of the tougher monsters of my past were much easier to tackle for the latest sub-quest. The only one I'm having real difficulty obtaining is one that I might only gain from Bork...a monster I can only attack once a day. It has definitely given me something to do other than Slayer or Barrows. I've even put off plans on minigame participation simply because of the length of time I'll have to devote toward making the last push to finish the quest. I may have to make sure that I haven't left anything out of my goals and tasks lists as well!
  6. FYI, it's Humerus, not hemerus... Here's the entire list, by the way: Fur 'n' Seek Wish List - Foot bone of a large ape-like creature Fur 'n' Seek Wish List - Sabre-like teeth Fur 'n' Seek Wish List - Long, sharp claws Fur 'n' Seek Wish List - Fibula bone of the third leg of an adult three-legged creature Fur 'n' Seek Wish List - Very large hand Fur 'n' Seek Wish List - Tail-bone of 9 different members of the dragon family (Green, Blue, Red, Black, Bronze, Iron, Steel, Mithril, Skeletal Wyvern) Fur 'n' Seek Wish List - Neck bone of a camel Fur 'n' Seek Wish List - Shoulder of a giant Fur 'n' Seek Wish List - Spine of a giant snake Fur 'n' Seek Wish List - Pelvis of a four-legged, magic-casting water creature that dwells in caves. Fur 'n' Seek Wish List - Femur of a large follower of Bandos Fur 'n' Seek Wish List - Humerus of a large tortoise Fur 'n' Seek Wish List - Golden fleece This means that a player stocking up on vinegar needs 20 jugs of vinegar and 20 empty pots to store the bones in liquid, then 20 logs to "cook" them clean at the Odd Old Man's hut.
  7. A crew member will post and lock the thread. You can edit previous posts to avoid "double-posting" and if posting under any of the Websites Updates & Corrections, you should avoid "bumping" posts. When you post here, a crew member will look at it. If they don't write or fix it right away, it's because they haven't gotten to it or are awaiting discussion among the crew. If you post something and it takes a long time and you want an answer, PM any of the crew. While they do have "jobs", any crew member can help. Welcome to Tip.It
  8. I just had this clue. The emote place for me was in the usual place. Someone else reported it as well, but I've had this clue twice now and it hasn't been changed. [hide=Panic at the heart of the Haunted Woods...][/hide] Perhaps there are multiple Haunted Woods "hearts" or something. Thanks crew. I think this belongs in the general WUC instead of Maps and Calculators, so perhaps it could be moved (or corrected and closed)? Either way, if a crew member would please post after completing any corrections, I'd appreciate it. I'd like to delete the images from the host.
  9. It lasts a short amount of time and spans all worlds for that time period. If you bank them and come back later, you can try selling her those seeds.
  10. I'm actually a little glad that this week was a non-update week from Jagex. If it had been new content, I might have been tempted to play more than I did, which wouldn't have been a great idea. As it is, I didn't accomplish anything too great. I made a couple more Barrows runs, Farming runs, and spent Penguin Hide & Seek points, visited the Circus, and forgot to do Tears of Guthix until it was late in the week. I did manage a level in Herblore which means I can now clean any Grimy dwarf weed I get. It also means I'm only one level away from being able to easily boost to create Ranging potions, so I suppose I need to make room for Wine of Zamorak in my bank. I haven't received a Snapdragon seed as a drop lately, which means my While Guthix Sleeps questing has stalled for the time being. I did go back to Waterfiends to finish a gargantuan Slayer task. Catablepons are my 151st task. It's nice to have a different monster for a change. I think it's been almost a month since I received those Waterfiends as a task from Duradel! It certainly was a surprise to get those in back-to-back runs! I haven't sold them yet, nor the Dharok pieces. I'll watch the Grand Exchange trends carefully before selling, but I might get lucky and finish the set before that happens. I am usually very careful when I make runs. My method is pretty straightforward. I start with Dharok, and assuming the tunnel isn't in his crypt, I use the melee prayer against him and attack with the magic attack of a Black salamander. I wear melee gear with a few Prayer boosting accessories. After Dharok, I move on to Karil, pray ranged and switch to a shield and Abyssal whip to attack with melee. After Karil, it's switching back to the Black salamander, but using the ranged attack and the magic prayer, most likely using up the rest of my Prayer. Running out is okay, because I switch the Black salamander back to the magic attack and go head-to-head against Verac, then Guthan, and finally Torag. If the tunnels are found in one of the first three crypts, I skip that brother, kill the rest, then recharge my Prayer at the Nature Grotto or my house and go back and run through doors in the tunnels until I run into the remaining brother. Sometimes I'll go into the tunnels and boost my kill count into the teens first and THEN recharge Prayer, but it really depends how much food I have left (I take about ten or fifteen monks and one Prayer mix(2) with me). I use the Enhanced excalibur frequently, which replenishes a few Hitpoitnts AND temporarily boosts my Defence. If I'm lucky, the tunnels are found in one of the last three crypts in my rotation and I don't recharge my Prayer. I ALWAYS kill five brothers before heading into the crypts, just to make sure I don't make a mistake and run into trouble below and/or forget to kill them all before opening the chest. I don't think my method is any better or worse than any other I've seen, but it's what works for me. It saves on Prayer potions and doesn't take me long at all. I bring the Explorer's ring 3, Druid pouches, and a Teleport to house tablet on each trip and sometimes I risk a little more than I should by going into Karil's tunnels without recharging Prayer. One of these days it might be my undoing!
  11. I would support it as long as they have their own place and aren't included in the already existing guides and site. If a new place is created then maybe. I don't like them, but if I don't have to look past them then I have no problem with them being placed on the site.
  12. Not a bad point. Since you get it in the grouped section before, it's inferred, but still...that's something that I agree should be included.
  13. Not true...got mine in the alternate abyss (fairy rings) and RC guild It's more dangerous and to some people that outweighs your opinion of the cost which means it doesn't matter Again, it doesn't matter if people don't want to use your "superior" method. Not everyone plays the game the way everyone else does...which is why there are multiple methods (mage, range, melee) for killing bosses in guides.
  14. Not everyone uses the abyss (I never have) to RC and many people like to plan out costs and time. If some people find it useful, it's worth including somewhere. I think that's all that really needs to be said.
  15. There are tons of things in guides all across the site that are considered unnecessary to some. It wasn't hard of figuring out a way it would be useful. Someone trying to figure costs of RCing to a certain level would not only have to figure out how many essence to get to a level, but how many essence per trip, which included pouches in some cases, which also includes cost of repairing... It's useful, just maybe not to you and me.
  16. I'm pretty sure I mentioned this in an earlier post...there is no alternate universe the player is taken to when pulling the Edgeville lever instead of Ardougne. Both levers take you to the wilderness, while the wilderness lever only takes you to Ardougne (in non-BH worlds). The TT clue is included in that...it works, because I've done it for that clue.
  17. In that case, they should simply be listed alphabetically. Anything else constitutes an endorsement of methods by Tip.It. While some methods are listed elsewhere in the guide, anywhere else listed, the brothers should be listed alphabetically.
  18. The small pouch is unlimited....or at least in the thousands...I'm 99.999999999 percent sure it's unlimited.
  19. I think it's cheating. I can't prove that they're away from the computer, but it's likely. If it were abusing a different kind of loophole, one that you cared about, you'd be upset. Lack of understanding here is no reason to be glib.
  20. [hide=Example][/hide] Wind striking spiders in the Lumbridge cellar...
  21. Am I alone or do other people find something...I don't know...WRONG with all of these newer players suddenly gathering in the Lumbridge cellars to use wind strike on the spiders in the Lumbridge cellar? There are more and more of these players popping up. I leveled up Magic the "old fashioned" way and don't power mine or power chop or any of that kind of thing, so I'm probably biased, but something just seems like this is using a cheap loophole in the game...and cluttering up a one-click bank in the process. I'm certainly not trying to cause problems, but it's just...so lame, in my opinion. It's one more of those reasons I don't like PvP (since I'm guessing that's what they're training it for).
  22. Yanille's is a lot closer.
  23. You are very welcome! It needs a little work (not much, but it does need a little editing here and there) before I think it's worthy of the AoW. I'm always open to suggestions...
  24. Varrock (F2P) and Yanille (Members only) are pretty close...
  25. You will visit that area for a couple of quests and it will describe in the appropriate guides what to do and what there is to do... There's nothing special around there until those quests are accessed, in case you're wondering if it's something that you could get a head-start on...
