  1. I don't know why you don't just start Slayer to start earning the points after Smoking Kills...you can range many of the tasks and sometimes those tasks include Blue dragons. I do think getting your Prayer up to 70 would be worth it, but it's that old saying...if you keeping waiting until you're ready, you'll never be ready.
  2. You killed all six brothers every time and in 157 runs NEVER got a drop? Think about it...that's 942 brothers killed without anything for it except runes, coins, and bolt racks. I'd be mad as heck.
  3. I think those are nice pictures! As with any content unsolicited by the crew, you should understand that you're taking a chance of them not using it. The crew are not unapproachable and while many are busy with other projects, they can tell you whether your efforts have a chance at being used before you spend so much time. They can also give you more technical specifications for what would be acceptable or desired, such as picture formats and size and space requirements. Again, nice pictures, but just as a matter of helping out, many times, already large guides are looked at to cut stuff out of, not add more, so if you're replacing pictures, you have a better shot of getting them used rather than adding ones that don't exist. Contacting a crew member with a PM or with a post in the Website Discussion is probably best at some point during your work, rather than doing all that work and then not seeing it implemented.
  4. I think once you provide them (sell or give?) to the ogre outside the Zogre encampment, you can then buy them from him later, which means you wouldn't need to collect all the ingredients yourself for each potion. There should be some mention somewhere about having to cure disease often in any quest that involves the Zogres, so in that case I would agree.
  5. I don't know that the pictures are always outdated. You may have been using higher graphics capabilities. I'm not saying the crew won't use them, but usually it's best to ask before going through a lot of trouble, in case they don't want to use them. There are a lot of considerations that they have that you may not be aware of. Again, I'm not saying they won't like them and use them, but it might be best for your own sanity to try contacting a crew member for something like that. Crew Edit: I don't see any need to ask a member of Crew first. I think most users know that we may not use all of the information that they submit. If they are willing to take the time to gather information/pictures, and know that it may go unused, I see no problem with it. We appreciate all help, regardless of if we use it or not. - SerpentEye
  6. It has not been changed. I got this clue after someone else had posted the same information. Another location may have been added, but it has not eliminated the old location: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?f=186&t=805137
  7. I got the ability to craft the rings first and I've never regretted it, because I use the teleports for loads of things besides slayer. Even for slayer, the helm is only really important on a couple of tasks, and most of the Duradel tasks it's just a black mask with extra defense. If you use Duradel/Lapalok, you only really need the helm for Aberrant Spectres and Dust Devils. Granted, Dusties are a great task that only gets better with the helm, and Sumona adds Banshees, Basilisks, Turoths, and Kurasks to that list, but if you're using Sumona the slayer rings are also much more important to teleport to her. So if you're not going to be slaying nonstop, you should consider the slayer rings. The key is to just get assisted by someone who won't mind you making several inventories of rings. If you are going to be doing straight slayer training, then yeah, go for the helm. If you're not at level 75 crafting, it's not worth getting rings first. If you are, I agree...the ring of slaying revolutionized my gaming...the rellekka tele is right near a fairy ring which is clutch...a mid-desert teleport (and right next to a slayer master where you can buy special stuff you might need for a task... I use the helm whenever I'm slaying with melee, but you're right, if you range, it's not gonna help. I would say it's a no-brainer...if you're not really, really close to level 75 crafting, then you need to get the helm first. Getting that helm will help you go through tasks ever so slightly quicker, which means getting points back again to spend them on the other cheaper creation skills (both the ring and bolts/arrows skills are 300 points as opposed to 400 for the helm). I use the ring constantly. It's not worth having if you don't use it often, really.
  8. Don't get the rings unless you have 75 crafting. Yes, you can get assisted, but the amount of times you use the rings...try finding people to assist you all the time. MAYBE if you have level 72 crafting and lots of wergali saved...but otherwise...wait to get it until you have the crafting level...
  9. I can confirm that the level needed should be 32 (level needed to get into the Cooking Guild...level needed to COOK the Wild Pie is actually much higher - 85, but you don't need to cook it, just give one to him)
  10. "dry" run totals can be misleading, because I got two Dragon med helms back-to-back, one with a Dharok's helm, and Dharok platelegs less than 15 runs in between. Is that normal? Probably not, but then again, neither are extended "dry" runs...
  11. Stealing Creation is a pain in the rear if you aren't on the winning side most of the time. It's also a pain in non-skilling games, because you'll inevitably get killed by players who just like to PK there (it's safe, because you can't bring any of your own items in). It takes a LITTLE getting used to, but it's pretty simple...collect clay, make it into stuff, deposit it into your team's base "clay bank"...collect as much as you can and make it into stuff (basically doubles your contribution points) and hopefully you can get 2 or 3 morphic tools in an hour (20 minute games), unless you're on the team that wins all three that hour which might get you 4 tool "seeds" that you can turn into the hammers. I don't know much about experience rates for it in construction...I used the tools as fletching knives.
  12. back in one of the chests? the same one you found it in? it is different for all players...i found the key in the chest indicated on the map by Tip.It, but some have found it elsewhere
  13. What made me feel like posting was your comment about the 1k monkfish that you caught in anticipation of Slaying...I did (and continue to do) the same thing. I'm not big on Summoning and I don't feel like the hassles of bringing them along - at least at the point I'm at right now at level 62 - outweighs one or two less trips for loot. I don't use them for combat, because quite frequently, you're in single combat areas for Slayer tasks...I know there usually are places you can find the same enemy in multi-combat, but I usually take the quickest access I can to a Slayer spot. If you're going to use one, use Spirit Terrorbirds, I suppose, since it provides BoB/run energy. I have an Enhanced excalibur which is like 1/2 a bunyip and a dose of super defence every two minutes. As soon as you can get the Slayer Helmet, get it. If you have 75 Crafting, the Slayer ring crafting ability would be the only other consideration before the helm and only if you already have the black mask. Buy it...don't wait for a drop...Cave horrors aren't worth it...almost not even if you're killing them for a task! If you're sub-75 crafting, no question at all...buy the pieces you need and put the helm together after getting the 400 points. Use Mazchna for the first few tasks in a group of ten, then for the tenth and 50th, always use the best slayer master you can. Don't spend points on anything you don't have to until you get the Slayer helm and Ring of Slaying. I used points on Broad arrows and bolts after the helm and ring (in that order) and haven't used any to buy slayer dart runes or for permanent bans or skips yet. Don't ever buy the rings of slaying...only the skill once you can craft them. The rings are great, only because all I need is a ring mould and gold bars and I have an unlimited supply. As far as set-up. I don't think Slayer is worth barrows equipment. People argue it, but to me, a nice non-degradable rune set does the job just fine. I'd sell your dragon legs (unless you earned them as a drop) and settle for rune or even dragon skirt. I don't care what people say...dragon plateskirt is cheaper and lighter...I'm not playing for a fashion contest. Use your Neitz helm until you get the Slayer helm...Quest cape is good...glory is fine, but I've heard people say fury is worth the extra cost...Barrows gloves are a must...I never leave home without my abby whip...I use an Obby shield instead of my Rune defender, but that's a matter of choice to some people who went through the trouble to get one...I use a Ring of Wealth, but it's a matter of choice, I suppose. For ranging, spend your money on an Unholy book and it's four pages. I think it's worth it for the range boost. Rune cross and buy the broad bolts off the GE until you can fletch them yourself (even then most people buy them cheap on the GE)...ammy of ranging now is the way to go...best dragon hide chaps and body you can and snakeskin boots (unless you get the ranger boots)...archer helm, or robin hood since I don't think you can wear a god coif yet. Work on being able to range whatever task you can until you get to 70 (black d'hide/god d'hide)...another thing I might do (since dragon bones are so expensive at the moment) is boost your prayer to 70 by killing a hundred or so dragons...good money from the d'hide, you can range blues and boost your ranging at the same time, and get the bones to the ectofunctus and be level 70 prayer in no time. Boosting that to 78 before each task in Oo'glog will help. I slay whenever I'm looking for something to do, so I'm not a "pro", but I am a very experienced casual slayer. Hope that helps...

  15. Too bad the items weren't sellable then...I had four of them and two or less of all the others.
  16. Oh, I wasn't suggesting that they won't use them, but according to a guide I read, they like to get them head on as much as possible. Since those are monsters that do become non-aggressive, it's usually advisable for the pictures to be taken during that time period so that they can "walk toward the camera" and get a nice big, head-on picture. I wasn't criticizing, only helping out. I hope you understand that.
  17. Absolutely useful, though it doesn't tell you which ones you still need, just which ones you've already collected or turned in...along with the Tip.It guide, it's EXTREMELY useful for picking up the trail later on...so...+1 from me!
  18. The burning ones? These are not "burned bones" for those above who are trying to help...these are bones that are actually burning on the ground like logs. I know about burnt bones and how to burn the jogre ones in a furnace...these are bones burning on the ground...do and internet search and look at the images and you'll see what I mean...
  19. The top is NO rarer than the rest... No. If that were true, there wouldn't be constant debates about it, where the general disagreement is that alot of people quit that minigame, coming away with 50-100+ Hats and boots, with no top. Oh and is a J-Mod post not enough? There have been plenty of confirmations from Jagex Mods saying that it is indeed rarer. Did you read the J-Mod's post? and I quote: "Firstly I have edited your first post to remove language that some players might find offensive don't worry I'm not taking any action, just be careful of this in the future, and remember we have players of all ages. Secondly, despite what some may think the Lumberjack Top is no rarer than the other pieces of the set. So keep killing those Undead Lumberjacks, and eventually you will reach your goal. I wish you all the luck, and may I say we most definitely don't hate you. Good luck adventurer! Mod Sallyd " For heavens sake, you posted the code yourself!!! I don't know if you understand the language...she says that no piece is more or less rare than any other.
  20. They're on the ground like a pile of logs. Is that how the Jogre bones are burned?
  21. I saw someone burning bones. They could not be picked up and the examine said something about a pile of burning bones. What kind of bones are they and how do you do it?
  22. I think the usually want pictures to be head on, not in profile. They're nicely edited, but again, they're in profile...
  23. The last one I completed. Harder than it sounds, but a lot less difficult than getting a Fire cape. I would prepare yourself as if you were going to try to get the cape which should get you halfway there, which will get you a Ket-zek kill. Need to get in that lower area on Karamja and I'm not sure, but I think you need to have started and advanced to a certain point in the Legends Quest. More on that later... Not as hard as it sounds, but still scary. Bronze dragons count...it was the only one I dared try to kill (and I waited until I got them as a Slayer task to multi-task it). You can do this at the same time as the oomlie wrap thing...you can even drop and pick up the same leaf 5 times (at least you could when I completed that task). You'll have to "bite the bullet" on this one and get far enough to kill one. It's not really that difficult, but as I'm not sure what your objections are in finishing or advancing, I don't know if that's why you're concerned. Legends is a good quest to complete, for many reasons.
  24. I understand what you're asking for, but don't use the word "Rate" when looking for advice (as at least one other poster mentioned). I'd suggest editing the title in order to reflect exactly what you're looking for...advice.
