Virtually Safe: Five real-life pitfalls of online worlds -- and some safer alternatives (RuneScape is the fifth example) Dutch Youths Convicted of Virtual Theft It's something to think about. I wasn't aware that the Dutch think of virtual goods in that way. In a way, taking advantage of bugs in the game then could actually be considered theft!

Clue Iri's Emote
There are two pyramids. The one you want is the southern one in Sophanem and you dance right next to the northern door, which if you'll take a look at it, has a cat on the door (for a quest). A double agent will attack you and hit hard, so feel free to switch to better gear to finish him off (or pray melee). Just remember after you kill him you have to get back into the proper gear, dance again, and then talk to uri before leaving.

Smoking Kills and Contact! quests
You can do it if you manage to find the semi-safe spot where you can attack the scarab only and avoid the other minions. You'll still take damage from the scarab, but praying will help, as will only having to deal with one creature. I think it has something to do with not moving at all or something...I know I found the "safe-spot" for it somewhere on the internet...

Path of Glouphrie (not necessarily completed) until you get to the part where you can "sing" the bowl for crystal chimes.

Easy Question: Buying Rope (answered)
Maybe just as quick would be the Rogue's Den...for future reference.

Zokot ~ 99 Runecrafting!
Hmmm...why the Fire altar and not the Earth one? It's closer... Maybe it's because you're "on fire" creating all those runes!?

R4ngewarlords blog, all stats to 70?
Looks like you're doing well! I can't imagine cutting for that long!

Mournings End Part 2 - Problem with 3rd and 4th door
Maybe they changed it recently? I know the guide was accurate when I completed the quest earlier this year. I suppose someone else would have to take pictures of the wrong places?

SportsGuy's blog -> Membership, the 65+ plateau, and beyond
Tears of Guthix, Penguin Hide & Seek, and the Circus...experience here and there...a couple of levels, but nothing major. I was looking for something interesting to do, so I killed some more Ghostly warriors. After recording drops to better service the readers of my PMG, I needed something else to do. Looking at my list of tasks, I came to a decision...Rune defenders. It didn't take long to work my way up to Rune, but once I got one, getting another appeared to be impossible. I got really frustrated...more than usual. I'm beginning to lose patience with the game and it's mostly because it seems like the updates they're deciding to make aren't the kind of updates that cater to my preferred gaming experience. It was bound to happen, but the higher my levels get, the less often new content will become available to me. I see a grind coming up...a very unpleasant, very frustrating grind. In any case, I'll probably make a trip to the Barrows soon. It seems to be a minigame that I'll be able to complete now with less difficulty than even a month ago, thanks to some key melee, ranged, and magic skill gains. Congratulations! If I can make it, I'll congratulate you in person! If not, I hope these well-wishes will do!

rune defender
You can stay there and get more. I lost my Rune Def while in pvp and was using addy to get my rune. Right after i got my rune i went to go tell the lady and killed one more cyclops. I got another rune defender. You don't have to tell the lady you got a rune defender, but you can. And it doesn't hurt to stock up on them. I got 9 of them myself. You went to go and tell her? So you do have to leave the room? I don't think I completely understand that...you killed one more before you left?

rune defender
do you have to leave and re-enter each time you want another rune defender or can you stay in once you get one and get more?
-
rune defender
I read somewhere that it's a good idea to keep a spare adamant defender in the bank in case you lose the rune one, but if I get a rune defender, can I get more than one and use the others in the bank to go back in and get more rune ones or do you need a lower level one to get the higher level ones... ...do I need the adamant one to get rune ones or will a rune one get me other rune ones as drops?

From one of their news posts, they were planning on migrating to new servers or something, so maybe this is the time they decided to do some of it.

Evil Tree Expert Needed
Im pretty sure it runs on real time meaning if you log out the time ticks away. It the same as the Evil Tree growing and World/Time Placements. Its all at a specific World and place. There are many Clan Chats out there on Evil tree's that can help you with all these things :) It does not run on real time. I finished an evil tree, got tired, and logged out for the night. Logging in the next day, I could still use the magical banking ability. You can log out in one world and log into another as well. Cutting the roots just means you have more room to cut the tree. If people don't cut the roots you can't cut the tree because it is only available to cut on either North, South, East and West sides. If you light fires; i heard the tree dies faster. So... Yeah.. And as for cutting on the South Side.. Iunno.. **EDIT** Found an article on Evil Trees **EDIT #2** [hide=Tree getting struck by lightning][/hide] Cutting roots allows for space to cut the tree and kindling to light fires. Lighting fires does not significantly damage the tree, in fact, less so than NOT lighting fires and cutting the tree. Cutting the roots earns less experience for the cutter than cutting the tree and damages the tree less. So people concerned about getting the full rewards would be better off asking nicely for people to cut the roots rather than not lighting fires. First rule...don't be concerned with anyone but your own self. That sounds harsh, but you cannot force someone not to cut the tree and cut roots. It's random, and frequently while I've been cutting trees, people come late, start cutting, only to later realize there isn't much health left...then they start making demands and yelling. Don't start cutting the tree if you don't think you can get full rewards and WANT full rewards. It's not like stars, in that way. You can't "bank" your progress for full rewards later...you only get two trees per day. Lighting fires does not significantly damage the tree, any more than cutting. It's a rumour that got started early on that has no basis in fact. Your best bet is to get as much experience as you can. If there are people there that are close to full rewards and are asking nicely, it's up to you whether to cut the roots (which damage the tree less) or the tree. The only thing that significantly damages the tree is lightning, which happens if not enough people have been cutting the tree during a certain time period. For that reason, not cutting the tree properly actually earns everyone less experience and could earn everyone less rewards, if they're not cutting the tree while waiting for late arrivals to earn rewards. It is efficient to all cut at the same spot, however. Multiple people cutting one root makes it "fall" faster, which cuts down on missed experience, because roots earn less experience than the tree. If everyone was cutting in the same spot, it would maximize experience, but again, there are some people at every tree that just feel like they have to be different than everyone else...show off...or whatever.

Contact! Guide, add seer's headband to tips
As I previously mentioned, since it's a light source that doesn't ever go it, it would be especially useful in any quest that a light going out would be dangerous (or where an uncovered light source is also dangerous). There aren't many of those and I know "grading" quests wouldn't necessarily help, but in quests where level requirements match or exceed those of a portion of the Seers' Village diary, it might be beneficial. As you mentioned, I think re-vamping the light source portion of Firemaking and linking to it might be advisable instead of mentioning carrying a candle or a lamp in a higher level quest. I have no strong opinion on the matter, but as the original poster mentioned, it is almost invaluable in at least one quest (Contact!) and probably useful in a few others.

Lever in Edgeville
It was introduced when BH worlds were introduced. It teleports into the Deserted Keep, but it is one way...that is, pulling the lever in the Deserted Keep will ALWAYS take you to West Ardougne, no matter where you pulled the lever originally.

all these herbs..
I believe herbs fall under the "commodities" classification and could be traded in that way as well...to Mobilising Armies.

Getting Around Guide
What I meant was, it's not something that they really need confirmation on (and I'm not crew). This is something that was specifically stated in a release by Jagex...that the strange fruits are not randoms and spawn near Brimhaven. They actually don't want people posting things that are given in updates. The original post wasn't saying that it's new, only that they missed updating it in the guide. So the original post was necessary, because the crew missed something...it wasn't something new or different that needed confirmation. But, do whatever...just trying to explain the difference.

Does this Potion Exist?
They do but one fial about them they have a chance of reduciing range atk magic str lvls by 9. :( is there one that heals HP alone? Brews are usually used with super restores to negate the effect. Barbarian potions also heal hitpoins and act as regular 2-dose potions. Barbarian mixes do heal (something like 3 hitpoints for mixes that use roe and 6 for mixes that use caviar) with the bonus of being used for whatever their original potion form is for (like super strength), BUT not everything can be made into a mix and they're made from and limited to two doses per vial....but those are still not hitpoints only. You could also use Spicy stews, but those have random +6/-6 stat bonuses, even for the yellow or red types (self-improvement or combat types).

Knights wave after Kings ransom
These guys are not that tough...poison them, then halberd them behind a dummy. I didn't use anything while fighting them...no food, no potions. I brought them, but I didn't need anything.

Getting Around Guide
I don't know if confirmation is necessary, because the crew should know about this. It looks more like a place where they missed updating. Confirmation is usually for something that was changed that hasn't been changed elsewhere, is something that is contrary to what they have everywhere else in the guide, or a hidden update to game play that affects all guides. In this case, I'm sure it helps point out something they missed.
