quickest (cheap) way of getting pat of butter?
quickest is probably in the cooking guild if you have the Varrock armour 3 (to bank in the guild). There is one in Yanille that's not terribly far from a bank, but even closer might be Zanaris (in the windmill). EDIT: forgot to mention about Yanille...it's what I used to do to churn, because on the way from your POH portal - assuming you've got it there - (free milk from the larder) is the restaurant with the churn. POH (tele if you have lots of extra runes), use the larder, exit the portal from your house, run to the churn, make the butter and then bank and repeat. If you have the milk banked, Zanaris is good, though the cooking guild is probably closer by a little bit

Distractions and diversions- shooting star map
I think they'll appreciate the initiative, but I think they like to "tip.it-ify" their maps (all of them seem to look to be done by the same program or person) and the map you've got is just slightly out-dated from the in-game map (though I don't think any of the newly revealed areas have anything to do with the Shooting Stars. I think it's a good idea, though, and would support Tip.It crew making a map not unlike the one they have for PvP with the overlays. I envision a map where you could choose the area it was going to fall, then have those possible spots show up on the map. Not only that, but the same map could have other Distractions and Diversions included (possible Circus locations and Evil Tree locations). I think this is in the wrong forum at the moment of my post, but I imagine a crew member will help move this to the proper place soon. Good idea.

what can I trow away from these pics?
The ringmaster hat can go...re-obtain from the circus...

70 Thieving
I kind of like the Sorceress' Garden for those 4 levels you need. I managed to get a bunch of ranarrs while looting the summer squirk tree from 68 to 70 recently... EDIT: you don't get the herbs from taking from the tree, obviously, but the herbs were a nice diversion from the usual two summer squirk runs in a row...

Yes. They are the best kept training secret (ooops!).

thinking of barrows
I appreciate it, but i'm trying to do it for the first time with my stats (all combat at 80, prayer 71 on the verge of 72 if I did a little training). I'm not gonna buy barrows gear to do the barrows, so I'll have to live with all the stuff I do have...lots of other good stuff, but that's what I'm looking for...basically, a bare minimum of how to survive it the first time without much danger, then I'll get more and more brave the more runs i make.

Clue
You COULD wait or search for a world with an Evil Tree location there and get the teleport into the jungle. That would be kind of random, but it is possible.

Swedishboy7's blog! Going for all skills 80+!
You should try getting the omnitalisman and making it into a tiara or staff. It allows you to craft at any of the altars and saves a space...it also works as the first part of any combination rune crafting talisman (you still need the other elemental talisman that you will lose in the combining process, but you never lose the omni-talisman this way). I just noticed the pictures of a few of the talismans in your bank, taking up some space.

thinking of barrows
if someone has a good guide to recommend, I'd appreciate it. I'm not looking for a "30+ runs in one trip" or "advanced barrows" guide, but a real good first timer guide. If I can't find one, I'll try writing one and AoW'ing it.

wgs:reqs...
well, fortunately, you can train both with farming...farm the highest level herbs you can plant and can use (and even the ones you will be able to use later/on the way to 65). Plant lots of trees and fruit trees and figure yourself out a nice "trip" around to all of them. I usually make a round of just the tree plots and then a round for the fruit trees, unless they are reasonably close together. I don't really plant much at the allotments anymore unless I have the seeds, but I do plant limpwurt and herbs. Lately I've noticed that it's taking a long time for me to grow some plants in some plots for some reason, but there is no way to speed up time...you can just maximize the time you have and make sure that they have the best chance to grow in the shortest amount of time they can grow.

Fruit tree patches not maturing.
Usually isn't the problem. Usually, the delays are minor. Lately - recently, that is - it's taking a VERY long time. I ALWAYS use supercompost and pay the farmer. (I'm not even the OP!)

Guides Update
Well, they're not skill boosts, but they are experience boosts. At least one guide mentions experience boosting items (I think Runecrafting with the gloves from FoG), so a blurb or link probably is deserved in those other guides as well. I do think that the crew is working on updating guides, but with so many updates over the past couple weeks, they're probably playing catch-up. I would expect this week's update to put them behind further.

thinking of barrows
Thinking of making my first attempts at the Barrows, but I've never attempted it before. Is there a guide out there for first timers? I've read the one on this site, but it seems a little confusing, especially since it seems like there are different methods that all work. I've got a well-rounded character, but I'd just like a nuts and bolts, do this-then that walkthrough of sorts for the first few times that will cut down on price AND danger. After a few trips, I figure that I'll discover my own methods, but I just want to be absolutely sure I don't lose anything down there.

Signing up for member, Using debit?
If your debit card has a Visa sign on it, you should be able to use it exactly like a visa credit card. Otherwise, you will have to choose a different option...you could always buy a pre-paid visa card and then re-up your balance on that every month...I think that works.

Fruit tree patches not maturing.
This makes me feel a little better. I still hasn't grown. Like you, I suspect it's a bug, probably a randomly inserted one with recent or upcoming changes. I'm also seeing a drastic reduction in my herbs output. I (once upon a time) could get up to 10 herbs from a single seed (if I was lucky), but now it seems like my high level herbs are all only giving out five herbs and MAYBE if I'm lucky 6. I don't know what's going on...and if it were only one thing, I'd just chalk it up to some bad luck, but I kind of "set my watch" to the timers and only now-and-then have had to wait for a plant that I've paid to watch to grow. I know that farmers only protect from disease and that they still lose a cycle of growth, but like I mentioned, it seems like it's losing the same cycle over and over.

scared to log out in spirit realm
High-level wilderness...it's more for out-running them before getting teleblocked (or with a single charge remaining on a Forinthry bracelet)...I didn't have the guts to try it.

Did you pay your farmer to look after it? Yes...I've never had the problem with time that this one is having. I wouldn't have thought anything other than it was constantly getting diseased, but someone else noticed it, too...so i thought maybe it was an epidemic... When you pay a farmer, it's not that it can't get diseased, but that if it did, the farmer cures it but it takes a growth cycle away. I know...I'm not new to farming and I've stated as much in past posts. My point is...this is the worst I've ever seen it. It's been 20 hours for a 14 1/2 hour plant.

scared to log out in spirit realm
If I log out in the spirit realm, when i log back in, will i be put in the wilderness or in the spirit realm where i logged out? I'd rather not log in to an attack from a revenant that teleblocks me and leaves me near death...

Actually...I noticed the same thing...it's not that they're not completing their cycles...last night I had a papaya tree at mid-growth stage and it hasn't changed in appearance even...

Need help with Tai Bwo Wannai Cleanup
I think you have to earn 100% favour one time to get access...you might not. Make sure you talk to Murcaily and look through all the dialogue options. There might be something you're missing.

SportsGuy's blog -> Membership, the 65+ plateau, and beyond
The holiday weekend allowed me to get some "work" done in the Slayer skill. I reached level 74 (which has no real benefits), 1000 Slayer points, and a level in Farming. I didn't get anything fantastic at the end of any Treasure Trails and generally had a pretty rough time going through the tasks. The 149th task turned out to be 160+ Blue dragons. They're either a really popular task or some kind of mid-level skiller money maker, because it seemed like everyone was there, most of them using a Ranged method. I have little respect for those people, especially after they would come into an already full world and try time after time to "steal" dragons from others who had been there killing for some time. I'm a courteous player and won't "steal" an area from a player and I would hope that most others would be that way, too. The problem I see in these areas is that there is no redress, unless you risk going to a PvP world, which also carries the risk that YOU'LL be a target, and let's face it, the only way around those kinds of PvP battles is to "trick" someone else into thinking you might be able to beat them, when in fact, they're much stronger in the one skill they've trained, which is why they're camping out in that area. The thrill of the kill for those players is much more exciting than the actual training that you're trying to do. It is that aspect that I dislike most about RuneScape. I know they want "little kids" to plunk down their parents' money and that most of those players don't care how many times they die, and how often they have to re-outfit, but I'm emotionally tied to my character AND the gear that I've won and earned. I don't feel like "giving" it away in PvP situations. In any event, Slayer tasks like those actually don't excite me in the least, especially since it seems like the only real skill benefit will come in Prayer, which will benefit from all the Dragon bones I collect. I would like to get my Crafting skill to 80, but for now I'm fine with a level of 77. You might say, this is a week of wasting time until the next update, which will probably not be something I enjoy. I don't WANT to finish While Guthix Sleeps, but a nice quest might be the only thing that brings me out of this funk. I won't let my bad mood affect my treatment of readers... Thanks! You need the full set of armour to put it into the Treasure Trails chest that goes in your POH costume rooms and I didn't feel like buying the rest of the set (though I usually do to make the room in my bank). I might high alch my regular Rune platebody and just use the new one. In fact...yep, that's what I'll do.

Completed Spelling / Grammar mistakes
Should be its, me thinks. Right on! Can also change "However, this will restore less energy then the Spirit Terrorbird" to "than the Spirit Terrorbird." I think the it's/its is right either way. Because from one angle the scrolls are not owned by the bull ant so it is its. But on the other hand it still makes sense that the scroll exclusively used by the bull ant is some what possessive to it making it it's its would be more conformist and traditional, but it's is not grammatically incorrect either. I know this isn't a forum for discussion, but it's is technically "it is" so "Bull Ant combined with it is Unburden scroll" wouldn't be right. Juhniz is right. Anyways, just thought I'd share. I'm done :) It's can be an abbreviation of it is with is becoming the 's But 's also marks possession so it's can also show that it owns the following item. Like I said 2 meanings. The it is is more tradtional, but the ownership is just as valid. I think the real point is that it is not a well-written sentence. When there is confusion, rather than debating which way is correct, the best way to deal with it is to say it another way. Personally, I would redo almost every one of the guides on the site, because they're often not written by native English speakers (or people who aren't great writers, just good gamers). I'm not trying to knock the crew. I'm just sayin'...

Elvarg's dragonfire: WTF?
Pretty sure you must have the shield to survive. His breath does lower prayer, not to mention your lifespan.
