1. Have you done all the diaries and quests? What about doing something dangerous or setting a personal goal of 100 mithril dragons or something?
2. AFK training is against the rules...FYI. People may do it (and get away with it) but that doesn't mean it's okay to talk about on here.
3. I think a post like this might fall under the "Help & Advice" category, rather than forum updates and suggestions. To answer your question, you might also try centering both lines instead of the entire code, after resizing the image. R.I.P Joanne Conlon, my Step Mum. Died on the 10th of July, 2009 - in my dad's arms. I love you. I'm very sorry for your loss.
4. I believe I just gave some of the reasons. Not everyone uses familiars. Not everyone cares to deal with multiple enemies. Earth warriors may rarely come down, but they do...plus I'd rather not deal with the stress of two dragons attacking. Wild dogs aren't a problem if they can't attack you and you can still use those BoBs or healing familiars in the Brimhaven dungeon...plus you don't have to worry about getting to the Dragons in the CTs or revenants on the way...you can run past all the enemies in the Brimmy dungeon with minimal interaction. As I mentioned, it's a matter of opinion and I've gotten better results in Brimhaven.
5. That's not necessarily true...the earth warriors and other bronze dragon always bothered me more. I find it much easier to simply position yourself close to another dragon before you kill the one you're working on. Plus, in Brimhaven the monsters will eventually become non-aggressive. The first time I killed them, I tried the CT first (i have old posts on this subject). Then I tried Brimhaven and I'll never go to the CT again. The OP is free to choose, but if they're concerned, like I was, I think that might mean the Brimhaven dungeon will work better for their style. Most people might use the CTs, but I don't know that most people worry about the Bronze dragons like I did.
6. I recommend Brimhaven. Take a look at Tip.It's map, bring anti-fire potions, prayer potions, a super set and some good food in case something goes wrong. Include a one click teleport or tele tab or even better, karamja gloves 3. I wear prayer boosting gear so it lasts longer...with high alch runes, you might be able to polish off all of them in one trip (depending on whether you care if you leave bronze bars on the ground or not and your levels).
7. yup it is there, got that clue 2 times and it is in the guide. As I mentioned, though, they do want to see pictures of clues that don't appear in both places so they can get them verbatim. Pictures are still welcome, in other words, unless they already have it written correctly in both Riddles and Search.
8. Fletching takes forever compared to getting a five boost stew. Forever. Fishing does too, but at least you can make some real money while fishing your way higher. If you don't already have a cat, then maybe you include the hours it takes for it to grow, but I do something else while I wait...then after I get the boost i need, i get 100 deaths for giving the cat to the civilians in west ardougne. Whatever floats your boat...
9. It is in the guide, but under Search, not Riddles, however, someone on the crew has been adding them to both places because people have been confused by the Search section...so your submission will probably get implemented because you have a picture of the exact wording. In the future, if you're confused or can't find it, check there if you need help on where to find it, but you could probably still post just like you did so they can add it. Well done!
10. I kind of screwed up during the Ranged portion by doing a move twice and losing the experience and forgot to do an emote before the first event, so I changed things up from my usual routine and only did three emotes. 11. How hard it is to obtain the stews, and what exactly do I need to do? You really need a good mouse catching cat. You can do it with a kitten, but a cat is really kind of necessary, seeing as how mind-numbing it can be to catch not only the hell-rats, but the right color spice. You'll need different colors depending on which skill you're trying to train, but basically it should be orange that you need. You have to complete the Evil Dave subquest in RFD...then make stews and add three shakes of spice to each bowl. You can only make one of the stews at a time, so you'll have to make one, eat, see what it does, then make another if you dont get the boost you want. You can get a negative boost, which super restores will remedy (or time, of course). Tip.It's cooking guide has a blurb about the stew effects... http://tip.it/runescape/?page=cooking_guide.htm#stews
12. How about Lantern lenses (made from blowing glass)?
13. I'm not near the MA and was wondering if hastas are considered a commodity...before I smith a whole bunch of them, are they?
14. You make compasses in a POH, I believe...
15. There are a lot of things I don't like about the latest updates. First and foremost, the changes to the font. The RSOF are rife with complaints about it, so I won't add to the already obvious by commenting here. I don't particularly care for the new minigame. I envisioned a "Command & Conquer" style of game play or early Warcraft games style interface, but with the tremendous lag and difficult controls, it doesn't seem like something I'll be taking part in, except it now gives me incentive to train more, since I can at least put the finished products of somewhat useless items to some good in the investment coffers. Another aspect of the updates is the change in interface, such as button position and commands. While in the Mort Myre swamp, I noticed "Cast-bloom" was taken away in favor of a simple "operate" for my Ivandis flail. I can only assume that there are more "minor" changes like this that will be discovered during the course of gameplay. Already, I've noticed the small print on travel "scrolls" while using Spirit Trees. [hide=200 Vyrewatch corpses burned...][/hide] Combat training this week involved another trip to south-eastern Burgh de Rott to fight the Vyrewatch. Over 200 have met with sweet release in the Paterdomus Columbarium. 11 Fiyr shades' spirits were also set free, but those rewards pale in comparison to the ones received from regular usage of the Columbarium, though I've never really received anything more valuable than Runite bars. I definitely don't like it. First, if you're stronger, the person runs, so the only way to win is to be the one person who doesn't run against someone stronger. Even then, somehow the person fighting me managed to get me to low health, then before I could heal, his "silent partner" came on to gang up on me to finish me off. If I don't "trick" I won't ever go back, because it's not even really RuneScape. I trained another level in Construction with the aid of Penguin Hide & Seek points and a few dozen furniture flatpacks. I farmed the Torstol seeds sitting in my bank with the aid of Garden Pies. Smithing is due for a new level soon, with Prayer next in line, then Herblore. I'm not terribly happy with the way the game is progressing, so I may not have the excitement necessary to do anything exciting. At the moment, I'm working on further upgrading the Ivandis flail. I do appreciate the readers and have another congratulations to answer... Thank you very much! It's nice to see 80s up there...even if they kind of look like zeros!
16. You can boost even more levels by getting Spicy stews. I only have 75 fletching but have the diary done. Runecrafting has no boost potion or food, so I used Spicy Stew for five levels on that...Likewise, I boosted with pies and stuff for the other high level reqs...you could boost six levels, but to get to where you need to (and to combat against a possible quick tick of the RS clock), it's easier to try Spicy stews within 5 levels.
17. Unless it's been changed recently, I think you can only have one planted at a time...so, extra? MTK is the best way. I've got 14 of them.
18. The Rupert's helmet location doesn't seem right. Isn't the Dwarven helmet the one obtained after the quest? If it's called Rupert's helmet, that would be the one you need to get to give to Silas (or is it Sylas), no? You get one back...that's the Dwarven helmet that's a reward. I think Rupert's helmet should have a location that better reflects the difference there (received from the dwarf in the tower east of Taverly, south-east of the Goblin Village, west of Ice mountain or something... http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2item_id=6935 http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2item_id=6936 Forgive me if there is a specific reason these were both created identically
19. The World 60 clan chat is great, EXCEPT for all the people that don't make a note of the locations and always seem to ask where the wildy penguin is...when there is no wilderness penguin that week. Really, it's unfortunate that so many people don't make a note of the locations first. It takes up most of the time people are on the clan chat, dealing with people asking for the same bogus locations over and over.
20. I agree (and I'm not a Tip.It staffer, either)...sometimes multiple posts are a new member mistake, so I usually wait to see if it looks like the person is doing so on purpose or if it were just a mistake. New members should also know that reporting your own post to a mod does not give you a "black mark" in these cases. In fact, it's responsible to report a double-post as a mistake. It helps keep things neat so that other people who need help can get it. As far as Tip.It guides being 100% accurate most of the time, that's only because people here on the site make reports, suggestions, and corrections. I think many of the guides could be re-written to better explain how some parts of some quests are done, but they're not written in the first place by Jagex staff...they're written by other game users. I hope the OP figured out the quest in question and everyone is getting along here on the forums!
21. You don't have to wait...I didn't finish either ME II or Seergaze before getting it. You can buy them on the GE and show them at any time. Maybe you don't want to do it that way, but I just thought I'd mention it!
22. Having received Waterfiends for my 150th Slayer task, I decided I'd evenly train my last few thousand experience points in Strength on a controlled setting with the Abyssal whip. I decided to go back to a place I trained for a Slayer ghost task...the spiritual realm Axe Hut. It wasn't long before I reached my goal. [hide=Strength at 80][/hide] Not only that, but I received a Spirit shield as a drop that allows me a place-holder in my bank. I was close enough to another level in Thieving to get to 69 with a mixture of Pyramid Plunder and the Sorceress' Garden. I felt like the "SG" was so quick and easy, I decided to go the rest of the way to level 70, which allows me to pickpocket Paladins. I was so close to level 63 in Construction that I went ahead and constructed some Teak flatpacks until earning a new level. I then put them into my kingdom's coffers. I only collected just over 100 tears from the Tears of Guthix minigame this week, but it was easily enough for another level in Summoning. If I can borrow a Saradomin godsword, I'll finish my 150th Slayer task this coming week, but that probably won't happen until after a possible update by Jagex, most likely after visiting the Circus, and definitely not before I spy on the penguins and polar bear.
23. A week from the time that you do it. If you do it on Thursday and wait until the next Friday to do it, the next time you can do it is the Friday after that... EDIT: you can also check how much time left until you can do it (and if you have the experience or the quest points gain necessary to use it the next week) by clicking on the quest in-game in your quest menu and scrolling to the bottom where the rewards usually are
24. The map on their site (the download one) is out-dated. Things like that are why the crew usually asks for confirmation and does it's own research for new updates on other topics. I can't speak for crew, but having all the maps look one certain way looks more professional to me. I think they use high quality programs, but I'll let a crew member comment and PM you if they wish. I hope you're enjoying the site otherwise...
25. buy a god platebody of some kind if you don't like the plate...dragon plateskirt (it's lighter and cheaper...unless you REALLY care about looks).
