  1. Well...they're wrong. http://www.runescape.com/kbase/viewarticle.ws?article_id=2159
  2. Are they not aggressive to you anymore or not hitting you? Do you want hitpoints experience, too?
  3. It's a fair question, but look on the RuneScape site...the official one. The answer is yes, but if you don't believe me, you can certainly look it up.
  4. Well...plug in your stats and completed quests into the calculator. See what quests you'll be able to do and which ones you won't have access to because of levels (the other quests will have to wait because some are prerequisites). My prediction is that you won't want to go back. I had the same idea as you...just try it. Six months later... Your stats look fine, except for Runecrafting. Get that to 50 and you have access to the RC guild and a good mini-game. Magic...you could train that if you want to get access to the magic guild when you enter the new expanded world (it's in Yanille). Again, do as many quests as you can and if you're going to train something, just train agility...since you can use it on F2P if you decide to quit. Also...take full advantage of the distractions and diversions each week that you are a member...Tears of Guthix (quest required) and Penguin Hide and Seek (quest recommended). They give you FREE experience. You might also try hunting down a star or two (good mining experience and decent rewards). I'd also look over all the mini-game guides you can. There are a lot more in P2P and some of them give experience as rewards. If you're not sure that you like it in the first week or two, don't bother training things like hunter or slayer. Construction can be useful if you get to a high enough level to where you can store your items, because you can put them in there instead of your bank which would allow you to go back to F2P. Fletching will be boring, but probably useful (if you want to make tons of arrows before you leave F2P). Summoning is a money sink (as is construction, but at least construction has that benefit I spoke of earlier). Farming...something to do every day, but takes a while. Herblore...don't bother unless you plan on staying a member (but do the druidic ritual quest early). Thieving is either boring or fun depending on who you talk to. The big thing you'll get excited about is the treasure trails! Your first clue scroll will be a rush! NOTHING like that in F2P! Last but not least, try seeing as much of the world as you can and open up as many types of transportation as you can. Balloons, spirit trees, fairy rings...
  5. Well, you picked the most expensive one to fill up as your first one. If you have the cash, fill it up by buying them off the G.E. You do get bonuses without a full book, but not big ones.
  6. Fastest and most profitable are mutually exclusive. Fastest...kill baby blue dragons in the Taverly dungeon and don't bank anything. Most profitable...kill blues in the Heroes Guild dungeon and bank everything with a glory teleport to Edgeville and then a games necklace teleport to the Burthrope Games room.
  7. They do drop mind talismans.
  8. The high priest in the goblin temple said something about the Big High War God being named Bandos and stuff about the twelve tribes. Strongbones didn't mention him. Do we need screenshots of it? Warning: one of these pictures is huge. It took forever. [hide=] [/hide]
  9. With my levels, can I kill a mithril dragon?
  10. How long do I have to last there? Is it a three minute "fight" or does he just attack for thirty seconds or so in a barrage?
  11. do you have to kill a mithril dragon for them or are they tradeable?
  12. I kind of do. I need the pages for the side-quest.
  13. Alright. I constructed a pyre ship to complete my barbarian training. I got the hard task crossed off the list (still need mithril dragon kill and wearing the armor to get my name said differently in Rellekka for the Frem diary). It doesn't seem like Otto does anything differently. Do you have to use both mangled and chewed bones? Do you have to fill up the "my notes" book he gives you? Can you ever really complete the training? Will the barbarian skills book ever go on your shelf in your POH?
  14. You should try orienting the room in such a way that a mounted ammy of glory can be easily accessible. Two portal rooms right off that quest hall (north and south of it?) and your study (to the east?). Kitchen in the northwest next to bedroom (north of garden). Costume room immediately west. Dining room and workshop next to each other....just my two cents.
  15. At the bottom, where it lists monsters found in the cave, it doesn't include skeletons or confused barbarians. They appear on the map, just not in the list of monsters (in order to be clickable and easily accessable in the bestiary). http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=ancient_cavern_dungeon_map.htm here's the link for confused barbarian.... http://www.tip.it/runescape/?rs2monster_id=929 here's a link to a skeleton page that says it is in the ancient cavern, but the skeletons on the map say lvl 132, not lvl 149 Here's some more... http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2monster_id=931 http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2monster_id=932 http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2monster_id=933 http://www.tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2monster_id=934
  16. If they're going to change it, you should just write your suggestion on how it should be so it's easier to cut and paste. Even then, I'd make different/additional changes to what you have here. Since it's a quest done very early into a person's RuneScape adventure, I think pointing out more locations is okay.
  17. Thieve master gardners until you build up a good bank of seeds (every kind). Start farming every plot of every kind. Trees and fruit trees especially. The only time you clear a plot is when you have something else to put in it (cuts down on having to weed and drop weeds). Pay the farmer for stuff when the seeds are hard to get or expensive. Only plant the highest seeds you have/can plant level-wise. Learn a good route to take that might let you plant new things at the end of your route in the first ones you planted. Most of all, be patient. You can't speed up time...paying farmers does help, though, because diseased plants may lose a growing cycle, but at least you don't have to dig it out and plant another (you get no XP for dead plants).
  18. At some point I'd like to finish my barbarian training (and finish my frem diary). At what level (combat) will I be able to withstand a mithril dragon to get the remains for the pyre ship?
  19. Are there any weapons that are particularly effective when using the defensive/block setting on the combat styles tab (the ones that give defence XP)?
  20. I'm about to try the dungeon part of the quest. I am unsure just how dangerous it is, because I need to get the two chests (for the scabarite notes) and finish the quest. First, can the chests be opened before facing the priest down there. Second, what kind of gear and prayer should I use to make sure that I make it through alive? I know there are all three kinds of monsters down there (melee, magic, and range). Third, exactly what do I do when facing the guy at the end? Fight him? Just talk? Defend against attacks? I'm scared of losing high quality and expensive weapons.
  21. If you want to post your stats, the dynamic signature is a great way to do it. Probably a lot easier. It can be found here: http://www.tip.it/runescape/?dynamic
  22. This isn't really help. It's more of an observation of things I've seen while looking over the newest release of the world map from Jagex. How long has there been a rare tree near Uzer in the desert? What is it? (I know it's been there for at least a little while, but I just never noticed it, I suppose). What is the island south of Tutorial Island for? Are the "eastern lands" supposed to be in the northeast corner of the map (currently blacked out) or will they actually be to the west of the elven lands like it would be considered in America? is the map supposed to be as like a globe or is the RuneScape world flat (no Chris Columbus type explorer there)?
  23. Funny...as I just noticed, even in one of the monsters that DO have the correct drop, it's listed as 'Scarabite notes' (here: http://tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2monster_id=1097) while looking at the examined items in the inventory on the following page shows it should be 'Scabarite notes' instead: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?f=228&t=766666 It's listed correctly in the other three instances: (http://tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2monster_id=1100) (http://tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2monster_id=1102) (http://tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2monster_id=1105)
  24. I noticed something while searching for monsters that drop Scabarite notes for the DwS quest and side-quest. There are seven monsters listed when searching the Bestiary under "notes" and only seven (thankfully). First, there are more (since each monster is considered different if it has different levels) than seven. Second, not all of the monsters listed drop those notes, or actually, quest related notes of any kind. In looking at three of the monsters, I see a couple of minor changes could be made to "correct" or clear up confusion about searching for "notes". 1) http://tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2monster_id=649 Instead, the last line could read (from 'give'): "give any of these items in noted form (if possible)." 2) http://tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2monster_id=26 Instead, the words 'Notes,' as it appears can be deleted since it is in the 'Notes:' section. I might clear up the whole thing (and I don't understand the part about the XP reduced) and write it this way: "You cannot kill him with a typical weapon alone. You must deal the finishing blow with a stake by using it on him with a hammer in your inventory. Garlic helps weaken him if used on him during the fight." 3) http://tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2monster_id=554 Instead of '(see notes)' it could read: "(see below)" Even better, the link to the Crunchy Claw Token in the notes section could just be hyperlinked there instead and/or the bit about the Summoning guide could be added to the item page for the actual item, here: http://tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2item_id=7248 As I mentioned, it's well-documented that a number of other levels (not necessarily types) of monsters drop the scabarite notes, and I'd be willing to take down those monster names, levels, examines...anything that would help. Just let me know. Below are the listed monsters as is now found here: http://tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2monster=&orderby=&keywords=notes&levels=All&race=0 125 Mummy Undead Yes No 0.72 112 Scabaras Lancer Beetle Yes No 0.8 109 Locust Lancer Insect Yes No 0.83 103 Scabaras Ranger Beetle Yes No 0.87
  25. FYI: http://tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2item_id=8100 and http://tip.it/runescape/index.php?rs2item_id=8370 state that to get the pages you kill monsters on the plateau, but MOST of mine came from killing scabarite monsters down in the swampy/desert area near the crocodiles southeast of the plateau. I believe you can also get pages from the ones inside the dungeon in sophanem...and later (though it wouldn't help to mention in the key's case, since to get there you have to have it) in the dungeon you enter with the key and past the four levers.
