  1. Dragon scim, long, legs, chain, b axe, every cannon piece, and a dozen other items all protect over whip. That's why I use Dharoks Plate, Legs, Whip, Rune Kite, Addy Boots and Beserker Helmet, I keep the three most expensive items if I die :P
  2. 1 key reason why i dont have a dragon axe. and trixstar, if they pot axe heads in bobs shop alot of people would complain i mean ALOT because they paid 2-3mil for something they can buy in a store break off a bronze handle and use it with the head...theyd be so pissed. All they have to do is make each handle unique to the axe head, so if you lost the head off a Dragon Hatchet, you'd still be holding an Axe Handle (D) and only an Axe Handle (D) can be used with a Dragon Axe Head, that way theives would get very little.
  3. I doubt sharks will go down, I've been watching the official forums for the last few days and I didn't see any topics about buying or selling tuna baked potatoes. It's a shame, as these heal the same as a manta ray and way more than shark, I would have thought stakers, pkers, KQ hunters, KBD hunters and people doing the Fight Caves would want to buy them. I mean two extra sharks worth of health is crucial for those people, yet no one wants that? People should start making these things and then trying to sell them on the forums, at the duel arena and other food buying hotspots, maybe it would raise peoples awareness of them, since few people bother to read the news they wouldn't know about them.
  4. Well, when it reachs 1/10 or 2/10 it's stats are drastically reduced from when it is 10/10 and people don't want to have to kill lower level monsters until their shield goes back into a seed, this is alot quicker way of wearing it out so it can be recharged.
  5. The question is not "Why is Barrows so cheap?" but rather "Why is Dragon so overpriced?". Dragon is a status symbol and the best armour that does not need repairing, nothing more. If you think Dragon should be 35mill when it's a tiny amount better than Rune, then what do you think Barrows should be? 200mill? Yeah great, make it so only people who play 24/7 can ever hope to upgrade from Rune. Barrows is combat armour, Dragon is show off armour, you can't seriously say that you'd pay 30mill for Dragon when you could pay 3mill for Torags and save the 27mill for repairs, unless you wanted to look good or show off your wealth. No, alot of people do not have 100mill+, I know no one with over 4mill, let alone 100mill, the people that do have 100mill are in the minority, but they seem to have the largest voice.
  6. Shadow (Damis): Easy using Earth Blast, Snare (to get a break from the constant prayer draining) and 2 Prayer potions, you've got to keep an eye on your prayer though, if it runs out even for a second, wearing mage gear with 8 skeletons and Damis hitting you, you'll be dead before you can even teleport or eat. Ice: This one was alot tougher for me, since those 5 Ice Trolls wasted alot of my prayer, but I still beat him easily. Smoke: This one was pathetic, a few Ice Blasts took him down in seconds. Blood: This guy was really tough, Using Torag Plate, Legs, Drag Med, Drag Scimmy, Rune Kite, Glory, DDS, Super Pots and a full inventory of Shark he still nearly killed me. Constant 20s through Barrows is NOT fun, I ended up beating him with 1 shark left.
  7. Personally I'm rather impressed by these new potatoes, but considering how hard they are to make, I think supplys will be low and prices will be high (maybe 5k per?) Just think, theres maybe only a few people who will consider making these things in mass, even then they will be making way less per hour compared to fishing and cooking shark. If these can be sold for about 4k each, I might consider making them, 250 of them at 4k each would be 1M, now thats serious cash for a fisher/cook that is not up to shark yet, to get 1M from raw lobbys, you need to sell 4k at 250 each.
  8. False, he posted on the official RS forums a couple of weeks back trying to buy bowstrings. As for the CW story, how did you know you had exactly how long you had left? Unless you were timing the match (which is pretty sad) then you had no clue how many seconds you had left.
  9. Yay, finally a use for my lvl 71 Cooking, before there was little point getting over 60 cooking unless you intended to cook shark.
  10. I saw someone walk past with one of those on while at the TzHaar place today, freaked me and another person out.
  11. I agree, after leaving for a few months, I was overwhelmed by how many new quests there were. RS is rapidly approaching 100 quests, which is probably a small number comapred to other online games, but the problem is, all these quests have interlinking requirements, meaning to be able to start quest A you need to beat quest B & C and to beat those you need to beat quest D which you need to do quests E, F and G to even start. It's fine for higher level people, but it's really daunting for any newcomer to P2P. New P2P members have to spend a month doing boring and tiring menial quests before they can even get anywhere. My friend wants to get a Fixed Device from Mornings End 1, his stats are perfectly up to scratch, but he needs to beat Plague City, Biohazard, Underground Pass, Regicide, Waterfall, Roving Elves, Sheep Herder and Big Chompy Bird Hunting just to even start Mornings End 1.
  12. People thought limestone meant POHs were coming, people thought that Farming meant POHs were coming, people thought the whole "own space" thing(like Farming, only you can see your own crops) meant POHs were coming, people thought all the new metal nails meant POHs were coming, people thought the Teak and Mahogany trees meant POHs were coming. Why does everyone have to try and find some way for every update to mean that POHs are coming in the next few weeks? Ok, these items MAY be used for POHs, but why does everyone go into a frenzy the second an item is released that may have a remote link to POHs?
  13. False, it is not completely useless, Lvl 3 Clues can lead you that spot on the map, I've had to go there before.
  14. I always give them away free, not much else I can do with the 300 Antipoisons lying in my bank.
  15. Agreed, I'd like to see a count of all "Rare" items, Party Hats, Masks, Pumpkins, Half Wines, Disc of Returnings, Santa Hats and Easter Eggs, that way we can see just how many of these rare items there really are. And before anyone says "OMG yoo jsut wnt 2 lwer prices n00b lol", I've got a Santa Hat myself, even though I wouldn't ever sell it, I don't want to see the price of it drop either.
  16. Either Darim or Darlim, I can't remember exactly.
  17. Or you could just get some Knifes or Darts, they are faster, give a better Range bonus, can be smithed and are one handed.
  18. Who gives a toss if it is ugly? Guthans plate is ugly, Dharoks Helm is ugly, Veracs Skirt is ugly, Karils is ugly full stop, Dragon Legs are ugly, Rune Boots are ugly. I could go on, but I won't. If you are that worried about the look of your armour, just go buy yourself full Dragon. Also, since Torags set effect is so poor, you don't need the full set, so you can mix the armour. Personally I use Torags Plate with Dharoks legs and Dragon Med, which looks much better. As for Dharoks, the helmet is worse than Torags and the whole set is so freaking risky. Wow, I can hit a 30, oh look, I'm dead because a monster got a lucky hit in. You may as well just get some Super Strength potions and a Dragon Battleaxe if you want to hit hard, that way you won't have to get yourself to 5hp. Torags armour is superb for people who want to upgrade from Rune, but are on a limited budget, like myself. My friend has splashed out on full Veracs, just to kill the KQ every now and then, so what is he gonna do when he wants to just kill some Greaters? Also, Torags is the best armour for Castle Wars players, you can't exactly use your fancy Verac or Dharoks set effects in there can you?
  19. Actually, I do. Much quicker for me just to melee them with Barrows, DDS and Whip than to spend ages trying to kill them with a Dragon Halberd. Personally, I can't see Guthans going down at all. B2P is the cheap persons way of training, Guthans is the rich persons way of training, and considering only rich people buy it, I can't see the price dropping.
  20. Hmm, I may be there, but I'll have to try and borrow a Rune Full Helm and Rune Kite off of a friend, kind of a waste of Barrows and a Whip if I have to use an Antifire Shield and Addy Full Helm.
  21. I doubt autoers would keep rares on those accounts, they would transfer all the materials gathered to their main, sell them, then buy rares on that account, they wouldn't keep them on autoers as they pretty much konw those accounts will be banned anyway.
  22. It's a superb secondry weapon, and treasure trail weapon. The special and poison makes up for Whip/Scimmy's useless specials, and it takes down Sara/Zammy wizards on clue trails in a matter of seconds. Plus if you get attacked, you can sometimes stop the pker by using 4 specials on them and poisoning them.
  23. Bah, you have not been to Fishing Guild then. On a world with 200 people on, there are 3 autoers at the fishing guild. Ironically they are all the default character, but they have different combat lvls (all generally around 10) and they have different clothes on so it seems they are a regular player. But it's pretty obvious as they take so long to react and take the same path all the time.
  24. Personally, I'm getting sick of seeing the darn things. Nealry everyone seems to be taking the darn things into Castle Wars and I'm getting sick of trying to attack someone just to see the text "This is not your cat" because there is a cat on top off a pile of people. I mean, I even saw someone with a freaking kitten in there the other day, it was just stuck behind a wall until it just dissapeared. I wish they would just make it so you need to beat a lvl 150 monster to beat Gertrudes Cat, that way we wouldn't see all these lvl 40s walking round with their kittens, swearing at you when you say it'll run away if you leave it trapped.
  25. Do a ton of Lvl 3 clues (I get an average of 3 Wildy clues in a lvl 3 trail) and then just have a nice stroll around the wildy, to get a good look at the place.
