  1. But I've logged out and it's still the same  Look at the item number, they are still there the system is just taking time to find your bank. Also if you had been hacked or items missing your tabs would have dissapeared. As i said, lagg. Exactly, it's happened to me a few times, the tabs and item count would have disappeared. Just let it load or try logging in again later. Also try banking in a less busy place
  2. Bird meats were more profit last time I checked both shop and GE prices (prices may have changed since). If many people start doing bird meats, rabbits may also work for about the same profit (smaller demand as not many people have 92 summoning, and those who do will often skip wolpertingers because of half the pouches per trip). [Just ask me how annoying it is to make 2.2m exp worth of wolpertingers]
  3. it kills me when people tell others where they can and can't train because it's inconvenient for them. the other spot you have the factor that one of the lobsters will stop chasing you because you got out of their range. more clicks too The second spot, I'll term it, compared to the first spot at the final rest spot ladder. In spot 2, doing 6 lobs is actually faster charms than 7. You're right, 7 takes more clicks. But doing 6 instead of 7 at the first spot also saves some danger. The only reason you would do 7 is because you wanted more exp/burst and charms/burst without caring about time. In that case, then why not do 9 in the first spot? It is much more efficient yet about as fast as 6 lobs in the second spot. More clicks too? Are you kidding? It's half a dozen clicks tops for the second spot (6 lobsters); 9 lobsters is a clickfest involving trapping dagannoths, and navigating to exact squares. And your first comment I will address last. You think I am telling you to move to a different spot because it means one more world for me - no. I would be perfectly happy to hop for ANYONE at the lobster spot there already (even though I barrage) when they do 9 lobsters. When I see people doing 6-7 (yes, you can tell), I hop also, but I leave them a little message behind asking why they are doing that. I have yet to see a legitimate reason for bursting 6 or 7 lobsters at the first spot. It is more dangerous and supply-intensive to the person doing it, and very annoying to the people who do 9 there. Most people who do that are only doing it because of misconceptions they have. It IS possible to get all 9 at the ladder safespot getting the one west of the ladder last. You can also change your safespot. Some people just say they don't want to risk the dagannoths and wallasalki near the 7th, 8th, and 9th lobsters. To that I answer, then why not burst the same amount in a much safer room with faster lures? And finally, some people are just really confused about it all and say stuff like "Don't tell me where to train." We're just trying to make everyone happy and help you, that's what this guide is for.
  4. If you're doing only 6-7 lobs...why don't you go past the DK lair to the other spot which has a room of nothing but 7 rock lobsters? During all my time rock lobbing in the 9 spot it's been very busy, yet there is always an open world in that room. There are no melee or ranged dagannoths to worry about and getting the lobs from the safespot is faster. So why do you use the spot where people accept danger to get 9, and waste the potential charm collecting of that world? Just go past the DK ladder and up a few ladders and you'll have the spot of your dreams, 7 lobsters and no other monsters to attack you. Sorry, just had to get that off my chest. It absolutely kills me inside when I see people killing only 6 or 7 lobsters in this 9 spot. The only reasons they do it are: 1) They don't know how to get the 9th lobster to stay on them (aka, read a guide) 2) They want to stay safe So if it's #1, just read this guide...if it's #2, just go to the other spot.
  5. You'll need at least 70 magic to cast ice burst...if you wanted to get it a few levels higher, it would help the spell splash less. I made a much more informative diagram of how to trap the lobsters:
  6. Yeah, use of the screeny is fine...I can make a better one soon though. Didn't see section on veracs, did a ctrl+f and didn't find it either..?
  7. Not at all, a ranged dagannoth with sometimes come get you and if you are on a different browser or aren't paying attention, it's quite easy to die. There is also a glitch with blood burst and ice barrage (possibly other combinations) where your character will sometimes hit the lobs with a staff instead of the autocast spell after manually casting blood burst. Also, if you forget to reset autocast (happens when a dk team comes down and you have to staff-bash to get a lob on you), it's easy to die if you're not paying attention. Also, those numbers are inconsistent; I've heard both sides on whether the ring affects charms, and my current opinion is no, but it wouldn't make a 30 crimson difference. If everyone read this guide, it would make lobs so much better because all the people who only burst 6 or 7 would go to the other spot, which is safer. The ninth lob CAN be lured to the ladder safespot if you know how to do it. If you don't mind I'd like to add a few pointers that I think will improve your guide: -If you want to stay longer, bring prayer armor such as proselyte (max prayer bonus) or veracs (good range defense) and interchange it with ahrims for the lures. -You can completely eliminate the threat of melee dagannoths by trapping them behind the torch just east of the third most southern rock lobster. This works for ALL safespots. See pic below. -Another alternate safespot is the one I'm standing in, it works well if you've got a dagannoth north of the bend or are finishing a tank lobster (my term for a rock lobster that refuses to die and lasts 5 spells more than others). -As a final note, clue scrolls from rock lobsters are level 2s and should be treated as such. :P Other than that this is a really good guide, if you are thinking about going to lobsters you should read this as to save the spot for people bursting/barraging 9.
  8. True, I guess the only wilderness option is Lava Maze then. They're in a similar cage with a ladder down but bring antipoison and antidragon shield.
  9. did you even read it i said mage pray always.,.................. go back and try again He was making a point that you need more prayer-restoring potions, either prayer or restore. Calm down.
  10. viewtopic.php?f=180&t=744316 This one is pretty substandard in my opinion. You don't need any extra energy while ranging and terrorbirds are pretty useless even if meleeing. The inventories are cluttered and a lot of the methods are disagreeable. Here are a couple points I saw when I read over the guide. -The altars can be used every 10 minutes, not 15. -Longrange is a complete waste if you know what you're doing -Sharks are a complete waste of space, especially when using a unicorn. Fill inventory with restores.
  11. Well, if you're confined to the Brimhaven dungeon, just stay in the same area of 2-3 spawns (3 instances of 2-3 spawns that make good slayer spots) and after 15 minutes or around a dozen dogs they'll go unaggressive. Annoying, but the rest of the task is easy. You could always try the wilderness in either the lava maze or the cage outside the KBD lair. Revenants are no threat with a ladder right there, just run into kbd lair (bring an antifire shield). Also there's a portal to the west of it. I blocked them even though the dogs don't attack me because they're slow exp and far overcrowded, plus the charms aren't all they're cracked up to be (same as hellhounds). But I recommend lower levels block tasks with high defense first, and stick out the greater tasks.
  12. Eucalyptus logs - These require 58 firemaking to burn, give 193.5 exp compared to 202.5 of yew, and require that you at least start As a First Resort... These may actually turn out to be more efficient than yew at some Grand Exchange price updates, that is: Price yew/Price eucalyptus > Experience yew/experience eucalyptus Basically it comes down to how much money/hour you make. Market price Yew - 410 Market price Eucalyptus - 347 410/347 = 1.816 202.5/193.5 = 1.046 1.816 > 1.046 So basically, for 202.5k firemaking experience, you'll need 1000 yew logs and 1050 (rounded from 1047) eucalyptus logs. 1000 yew logs - 410k 1050 eucalyptus logs - 364,350k If you burn an average of 1200/hour, you spend 45,650 gp to save 2.5 minutes of time. That's a value of time of about 1100k an hour. On the scale of getting 10m experience: 49,383 yew logs 51,680 eucalyptus logs Difference = 2,297 logs = 115 minutes = about 2 hours (assuming 1200 logs/hour) Price of yews = 20,247,030 gp Price of eucalyptus = 17,932,960 Difference = 2,314,070 Therefore, by buying yews over eucalyptus logs you are spending over 2.3m to save less than 2 hours. Just thought you'd like to know, I know you've quit RS but maybe write a little blurb saying to look for eucalyptus prices before you buy 50k yew logs.
  13. One of the best smithing guides I've seen in a while - helped me out a bit. You could maybe add some gp per exp rates, or cash needed from common levels -> 99.
  14. I admire your patience #-o Did you bank granite with sceptres? If so, how much exp/hour do you think banking 500g would be - using pack yak (30 items)
  15. I disagree with most of the guide -Obviously Waterfiends/Scabarites as I said before -I don't see anything on the ring of slaying. Saves large amounts of times when going to Pollniveach spectres. No more fairy rings for slaying dungeon or walking from Canifis to tower. As a bonus it acts as your enchanted gem if you don't want to wear it. -Ring of wealth doesn't affect rune items at all -I think you should post a method for the tasks you don't like, for those who do like them. You don't have to be on task either, just go and experiment (or get pics from others for the ones you don't have access to). Don't hinder others because you don't like something. -No information on high level familiars (unicorn, yak, etc), or efficient combat familiars -There are two different kinds of black demons (small graphical difference), all the old ones are one category, and the ones in the chaos tunnels are another category. There is actually 1 new category demon in Tavelry Dungeon, which drops all the charms you will get from a task there. In chaos tunnels they are easy picking with a combat familiar and less crowded by rangers - I'm not sure why you didn't at least provide a picture of the demons there and say some basic stuff about it. Also, you should mention the fastest black dragon exp in Tavelry is ranging from a safespot while your cannon hits all of the demons like multicombat. -Baby black dragons drop charms as well. Fairly even spread but lots of greens, few blues. They're no slower than your average melee task - not "ok," but just as good as the tasks you call "good." Green dragons are not a problem if you know where to stand. Try them. You can also use the +15% boost from slayer helmet to help you solo KBD. -Skeletal wyverns have one of the highest percent crimson rates in the game. With a dfs you don't need to waste your shield slot. With the proper set up they are easy to kill, same speed as iron dragons. With piety they are a breeze, quick crimsons. With range they take no supplies. -Goraks: suggested familiar unicorn stallion - secondary tortoise - last resort: bunyip. These hit hard but with 99 defence, a unicorn stallion and an sgs I am able to stay for a whole task without banking. If you do have to bank, just use the fairy ring and bank in Zanaris, for another inventory of food (I recommend monkfish). Pizzas will be bad because they're low healing/bite. These don't drop charms. -Dagannoths: mention herb seeds, this is what makes you a little bit of profit back. Mention chaos tunnels because they're a decent place to do this task too. And why on earth would you bring a forge regent when you are cannoning? Also you'll want a ring, warrior at least, maybe a ring of slaying like I said above, saves an inventory space. ;) -You might want to note tasks which are only assigned by Duradel, or only by Sumona (warped and spiritual creatures are split between the two, for example). EDIT: it seems I am the one confused, for on rereading I see you meant it to be a Duradel-only guide. In that case, you'll need to remove Infernal mages at least, plus maybe tortoises in the quests section. -Spiritual mages: get a ring, also list method for doing the task on Saradomin mages. Do a full task without prayer, no 70 agility required - 2 spots in the main cavern where several mages are in combat. With 70 agility, 2 guaranteed spawns. -Waterfiends: why does the name link to Suqahs? You might want to use protect from range when you don't have raw food drops available (when using a bunyip that is). Also, why give no weapon recommendation and show a picture of a d baxe? Do some research, and advice a zamorakian spear, saradomin sword, godsword (preferably sgs), or give alternatives such as flail. -Mithril dragons? Why, why, why use protect from its weaker attack? Meleeing I can do a whole task on bunyip without wasting unicorn scrolls, using maybe 8 sharks. Venge was a nice idea but only if it's hitting high on you with melee. Also give a range technique, or at least link to a guide. -Iron/Steel Dragons - may want to include visage information, map of which dragons spawn where, add a ring, also the method of switching to dragonslayer gloves on the last hit so you can use better gloves for most of the dragon (yes, barrow gloves are more effective than the attack boost of dragonslayer gloves). Also, may want to give information on where the dragonslayer gloves are found from, how much they cost, that they wear off after 1k dragons, etc. -Nechryael: needs info on using chinchompas/multicombat ancients spells on them. Many slayers consider doing this as fundamental as cannoning dagannoths or kalphites. I see you put a lot of effort into it, and it's a good start, but it's quite opinion based. It needs some work - - but has potential to be great guide. Though AMJ has already created the most epic possible guide (it IS updated on his forums for members).
  16. Boss Hunting: Most Scientific -It's very important to get as many kills per possible per trip. That's why I've worked my way up to maxed combat, ranged, and magic, gotten the very best gear, and worked my way up to 96 summoning. Consumer Skills: Scientific -Farming, construction, and even skills like fletching and firemaking have to be very precise. I need to know exactly how many raw materials I will need for 99, and how much gold it will cost. I also have to decide between several methods based on efficiency. Producer Skills: Relaxed -Woodcut, Fishing, and Mining are skills I try not to power. They're kind of layback skills, I would never want to do a mining method that involves rapid clicking and dropping. I'll either drop a full inventory, or bank it all. Woodcut and Fishing are similar. Slayer: Most Relaxed -Slayer is my favorite skill. I love it. I will never piety a task and I only cannon a few, I try to enjoy every last experience.
  17. I keep one in my bank but I never do them. About 1 in 5 clues I'll get "lucky" and get a nice Rune Med Helm H4, or maybe even a magic composite bow. Even luckier and get the 1 in 25 clue for a pirate hat? Good for you, you've earned 88.4k for your 6 hours of doing clues with the big item. Rune items aren't bad, but the average clue is usually a hatchet and a low value armor piece. It's not anywhere near 100k. And with clues getting more annoying to do, there are less and less reasons for doing them. Here's what I'd like to do with clues: [*:1dt8kkw6]Make clues far rarer. Right now you'll easily get one in any batch of 100 monsters. Increase the average to once in 1,000+ monsters. Come on, are there really so many hidden stashes of items around RS? No, they should be rare...no storyline problem. [*:1dt8kkw6]Make clues slightly longer. I'd like them to be 10-20 steps instead of the current 5-8. This will make clues "more fun to do" and an actual activity instead of a short side project. [*:1dt8kkw6]Make good items from clues more common. Since clue scrolls are now 10x as rare, you should definitely be getting a bucket helm, painted shield or some other low-value goody every 1-2 clues. And good items like Pirate Hats, Top Hats, Gilded Armor, God Armor, etc. should be more like 1 in 5 clues. 3a should be kept rare, probably 1 in 1k+ still. This means: 1) When you see a clue scroll on the ground, you'll be happy, not depressed 2) When you do a clue, it will take you a while and feel more like a full minigame 3) You know your time was well spent because rewards are much better 4) People will always do clues as they aren't so continuously boring and low profit If I slayed for a decent amount of time I could be leaving as many as 10 clue scrolls on the ground. Make Treasure Trails worth it.
  18. Summoning is a separate case. There's no way to get all the spirit shards and blank pouches without finding them on the ground. It must be bought. Charms, seconds, and transportation to and from obelisks could be free, but shards and blank pouches are controlled. Summoning is not as costly as people make it out to be. Achieving level 32-40 is quite easy for anyone, and it adds 4-5 combat levels on. So a 105 with 82 melees suddenly becomes a level 110, matched with people who have 90-92 melee skills. This is mainly why people look down on it. They've gone 10 levels higher in melee skills (about 4m experience each) to see people at their level simply because they've gotten 50k experience in a single skill. Summoning does not make profit. There is no way to make a profit out of summoning with the popular familiars, such as abyssal familiars, terrorbirds, unicorn stallions, or pack yaks. The only pure profit is making pouches that spawn items - and these items rarely cover the cost of the pouch (macaw is an exception). An abyssal familiar carrying essence merely helps you to make more profit with the runecrafting skill. A spiritual terrorbird allowing you to carry 12 more pieces of loot from a slayer task or 12 more logs from the magic trees only helps slayer/combat and woodcutting respectively to make profit. A unicorn stallion allowing you to stay longer at GWD bosses only helps combat make money. Summoning is a support skill, not a pure moneymaker.
  19. You can speculate about anything. It's perfectly fine to think about different, odd ways that could come under a topic. If you want to discuss a practice, however, you need to discuss what the actual practice does and ask if that itself is practical. It looked to me like you wanted to discuss whether the current junk trading is practical, not if a hypothetical, super-slow method that would never be used in what you're trying to discuss. The vast majority of people who junk trade got the junk in one of two ways: [*:dgmgdi2u]They bought something that was higher than it's Grand Exchange price (for example, a top hat or animal mask). These are the most common case, merchants who deal in 3a, partyhats, and some treasure trail items. There is a clear line between those who deal in these items and those who don't, with the line being formed by one-time buyer/sellers who want a rare or get something from a Treasure Trail. [*:dgmgdi2u]They discover a good item for "junkmaking" and are able to create millions of coins worth of value per hour. The cutoff, therefore, is creating value at a low rate. Is it crazy? Well, it actually doesn't happen much. People usually give up after finding out how much time and effort is needed to make the common junk items. You're left with a very small minority of people who don't value their time as much. That's their problem to deal with. You answered your own question. Trying to get thousands of raw chicken to make 100k value is ridiculous and no one does it.
  20. Remove randoms that don't have special items, change pure and normal essence back into a single essence and remove the GE price range and trading restrictions for it to stabilize. I have written a lot more about the topic at 15-16-267-54942127
  21. But yesterday at the grand exchange( my first time there, it confuses me..) i dropped some junk from my bank on the floor like i usually do. I assumed that they had changed the game so dropped items disappeared or something but lower lvl players came to pick up my items like normal... So i don't understand this basically, have they not tackled drop trading? Surely the gold sites could still drop trade money? Items under 3k will still appear to other players. 2. Ok well yesterday i saw a grave marker in Dharoks crypt. I have never seen one before and don't understand them. I had the option to bless it at 70 prayer, what does that mean? Its the new way of death in RuneScape. When you die, a gravestone stands where you died and the items you lost will be stored underneath it. Depending on which grave marker you buy, it will last for 2-5 minutes. Anyone can use prayer points to repair the grave, making it and your items last for 5 more minutes. Also, they can bless the grave with 70+ prayer and make it last for up to an hour.
  22. Got to 89 off random stuff, etc, and eventually wanted a decent range level. About 85% of it was chinning, 2% cannon for slayer, and rest of it was monster hunting. I know a lot of people think chinchompas are a sad way to get a 99 skill. Using them took effort, too, it's not at all AFK. I'm not going to let this achievement be downgraded by those sorts of comments. This finishes up a huge RuneScape goal of 99 defence, prayer, hitpoints, and ranged. I guess my next goals are maxed melees, 94+ mage, 90+ slayer, and a decent summoning level. My character is turning towards combat based but that's ok with me for once: [21] -RuneScript- *** [ 07COMBAT % ]: 07jettrider is 0761.01% combat based, with 0782,338,435 combat based exp, and 07134,954,092 total exp. For anyone whose interested, I used void knight and eagle eye while chinning. Here's a log of my chinning trips. 1. 1674 chins, 362k range exp ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ 219 exp per * 89 range 2. 1589 chins, 322k range exp ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ 203 exp per * 90 range 3. 1694 chins, 373k range exp ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ 220 exp per * 91 range 4. 1698 chins, 361k range exp ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ 213 exp per * 92 range 5. 1772 chins, 364k range exp ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ 205 exp per 6. 1637 chins, 341k range exp ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ 208 exp per * 93 range 7. 1810 chins, 400k range exp ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ 221 exp per 8. 1733 chins, 383k range exp ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ 221 exp per * 94 range 9. 1696 chins, 403k range exp ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ 237 exp per 10. 1654 chins, 345k range exp ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ 209 exp per * 95 range 11. 1747 chins, 394k range exp ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ 226 exp per 12. 1800 chins, 427k range exp ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ 237 exp per * 96 range 13. 1743 chins, 368k range exp ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ 211 exp per 14. 1757 chins, 374k range exp ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ 213 exp per * 97 range 15. 1963 chins, 418k range exp ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ 213 exp per 16. 1870 chins, 433k range exp ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ 232 exp per 17. 2002 chins, 456k range exp ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ 228 exp per * 98 range 18. 1882 chins, 440k range exp ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ 234 exp per A level next to a trip means that trip and the ones following it were done with that range level (NOT that I leveled to that range level during the trip). 23. New prices definitely. Also: You list the best fishing experience as Shilo Village at 60k an hour. That's not realistic. Its 30-40k per hour, MAYBE 45k depending on your fishing level. I've heard from many friends that barbarian heavy rod fishing is actually fastest. Maybe you should check that out.
  24. Haha. Who knows...this could happen! haha LOL @ people who took it seriously COngradulations, the first person to realize it was a joke and it was something that Jagex would seriously do. I don't think Jagex would ever go that far but it was a good laugh the first time I saw it. The problem is that nothing Jagex does about restriction on money/training ingame can stop RWT. In your joke, the RWT would just go for the max experience per day then switch to another account, etc, eventually selling characters with all 80/90s. Anything players can do farmers/bots can do better. The only thing I can think of would be requiring players not to have dialup then restrict an account to 1 ip address each. I doubt RWT would ever evolve to the point of a worker comes over to your house in real life to train your account.
  25. From the section ancient puzzles: Fuel [*:o35yh544]The required level to burn logs in the furnace is 20 levels above normal - Yew logs require 80, maples require 65, and so on. [*:o35yh544]Allotting highest power to the scarab room hits 105 damage, second highest 70 damage. I'm unsure of either of the other power levels. However, the more power you allot it, the weaker it becomes and the less it hits. For the puzzle, thieving level along with power affects how many tries you get. With my thieving level of 70, the puzzle was unsolvable on the lower power levels, while friends with higher thieving did fine with it on the lower levels. This section is from tips, tricks, and notes: To clarify: [*:o35yh544]This doesn't mention the other side of the shortcut. Its east of Simon Templeton, on the same level as the agility pyramid. Continue east along the south side until you get to the overhanging rocks. [*:o35yh544]You must place the rope from the top point first, after that you can go up or down as you wish. [*:o35yh544]I killed a few mummies after the quest and was hit a 24 by one. The max might be slightly higher but I can confirm 24.
