i didn't enjoy it. It was humid, then there was rain. Lots of it, thunder, lightning, the whole shabbang. but then from toronto we had a bloody 3-hour bus ride only to be left at a depo in the middle of nowhere. finally got a checker limo (kinda snazzy compared to our taxis in the UK i won't lie) and got driven to the halls where we collected our keys. it was good to get wifi and see my fancy little geographical location thing on snapchat. i finally got a ride to where i'm living for the next year and i'm happy it's not the shoebox that i thought it would be but yeah, the people i'm living with are all cool as cucumbers. a hungarian guy, a dutch girl, me, and a singaporean guy who has good banter. the arrangement of the flat has all the rooms really close together and a living area so it'd be mad awkward if there was a dispute of any sort, so honestly i'm gonna be on my best behaviour this year and not pick fights with people :D at the end of the day, this year is kind of a gap year in the middle of my degree unless i do really well which would just enhance my degree classification when i complete it. i already had the soccer vs football discussion with a girl and i really need to get used to my accent being out of place here. i don't really like the look of the snacks i was given but i liked the wildberry juice. why is there a canadian flag on every other building? we judge people sooo badly for england flags being put up in the UK unless it's the world cup. otherwise i'm happy my laptop is charging, that i had a safe journey, that i have chill housemates by the looks of it.
  2. Oh boy, you're in for a shock if you try and get a plan here, especially in Ontario I need a good one with international calls, my budget is 40 dollars a month Stuck in Toronto atm growing increasingly fed up

Can't speak on vodka except to avoid Russian Standard if you can.Forget where you've said you were staying province-wise but if you are looking to party/have alcohol I would suggest a weekend trip to Quebec at one point as it is where the cheap booze is, at least Ontario eastwards for sure. My French is incredibly poor, but we might give it a go. Looking forward to travelling but I need to get all my money first. My landlord owes me the Canadian equivalent of $628 which is a lot of money. I'll probably be alright until about November time when I'll start needing it. I'll need to get my textbooks soon as well

I can't believe it's tomorrow. It's insane, I'm travelling with a friend who happened to be on my flight which is awesome. My mum is gonna take me to the airport and a couple friends landed in Toronto a few days back and they're loving it. They're saying it's really hot atm. Idk how to suppress my excitement. The girl I'm living with seems like she's a drinker and that's the biggest relief ever, I'll be really snap happy and take loads of photos. I loooove travelling! The girl I'm living with is wondering how expensive alcohol is out there. I am so happy that all the nerves are completely gone. I've had to stop myself from seeing too many people I love at once because it would feel like an emotional overload and I'd find it hard to handle the physical goodbyes. Best Canadian vodka brands? It's really important to me

  9. A year of study in Canada. I'm in my third year of my degree, I could either just graduate this year or go abroad and I chose to go abroad for a year, see the world, study in a different environment, make new friends and all the cliches that come with all of that! 80 Slayer I am now gone until further notice because I need to get ready for Canada and my computers at home have poor graphics cards which cannot currently support RS3 so Adios!
  10. 76 Thieving All Skills are now 76+ with Smithing being my lowest even though I love it. Just can't afford to train it at the moment <_<
  11. Good luck! I've never been to the Bahamas, but it looks like it'll be a lovely place to go on holiday :D
  12. I feel really bad for her, so much gone wrong so early in life. But yeah, I am sympathetic from a distance, hope she sorts her life out because it's sad.
  13. 83 Farming and yeah, I am just nervous about Canada because anybody would be nervous about moving to another country for a year of their life without being able to be with their loved ones, but it's a step that I signed up to when I was only seventeen. So now the time has come to go for it, and I am very excited, but it's normal to be nervous. I'll still communicate with my friends and family, so I know I'll be fine but I'm allowing myself to be a bit nervous because chances are, those nerves will be completely wiped away when I land in Toronto in eight days' time!
  14. It's always great to meet a fellow Christian...God bless you! :D I'm gonna add you on RuneScape, if you don't mind. :D Sure :D
  15. The bold bit pretty much sums it up. I am no expert but I think girls tend to like decisive guys who know exactly what they want without putting pressure on them. I don't think you were going about it that wrongly, if she was sending you racy Snaps then it was probably going the right way and the chemistry would probably have increased into something better, but your 'friend' has shafted you. Which is something he shouldn't be doing because a) he's supposed to be your friend - a good friend would leave you to it or even help you out if you needed actual help with the situation, and b) he has a gf so that's extra wrong on his part. I don't really have a problem at all, but we think a girl who works with my boyfriend might like him. He's walked her home twice and I've encouraged him to do it when he can because they finish at 12am as well as the fact that she's 19 and new to the area so I wouldn't want her walking home alone. She confides in my boyfriend quite a lot and "jokingly" asked him to go to a theme park with him. She also goes overboard and calls him her best friend at work, even though she's only worked there for a matter of days. She always says "You're the best at doing task x, y or z" to him at work and does not really say anything like that to anybody else. I am not uncomfortable with anything so far and her life seems like a bit of a mess. She doesn't know who her parents are and she's a week pregnant. The guy who got her pregnant is an ex-boyfriend who wants her to keep it but wants nothing to do with the baby until the child is 5. The landlord for her flat wants to throw her out of her place because she's pregnant so it's a bit tricky figuring out what we can or can't do... My boyfriend quits work in two weeks to get ready for Uni as well so we have no idea what she'll do. He's added her on Facebook to make it kind of clear that he's in a relationship but this was all speculation and she might not like him in that way at all.
  16. That's the same as me, having a near-10 year old account myself, I've never invested time into any other account like I've done with the one I use. I've always been mocked for my notoriously low levels in comparison to the time I spend online! A lot of my time online has been spent playing minigames! My life hasn't been as busy as yours but I've still just progressed through school, and now I'm nearly done with University and I'm so happy that Runescape's been there to play in the meantime but it's always good to have a healthy amount of time invested in real life. And by the way, I am a Christian as well. I have been interested in politics in recent time, because I have actually understood some things, but I am happy with things as they are. I actually wanted to study Political Biology but I didn't meet the prerequisites for the course, but I look forward to the courses that I have been allowed to do in Canada :D
  17. The boss is scaled to your combat level - having said that, I've not done the quest yet myself. You have a nice blog as well, and it looks like you've been around a while haha :D Doing it slowly like me it looks like, do you plan to max by the end?
  18. Thank you very much :D :D :D :D :D I am still in the UK but I leave for Canada in 9 days, eeeeek!! It's so close and I don't want to leave my boyfriend, friends and family yet    :(
