I just wore a Torso, D skirt, and Mask with fury, whip, Rune defender, Fire cape, rune boots when I got 85 slayer. Of course, this was ages ago...

I'd recommend at least 75 range, and if you're using prayer, 40 prayer for range prayer Make sure you DON'T have an armadyl item, for you want avansies to be aggresive at all times. Otherwise, use torags helm + legs, k top, and some God items to protect from other minions.

Yes. At first I thought you'd get higher alchables (such as Rune Plate over Ranger boots) but it seems Jagex (somewhat) bases it off street price. It's better to have RoW on while cluing than not.
