  1. Your question about waterfiends, SS is better than any godsword there, and since you already have two of those, you have no reason to use a godsword. If you ever want a Spirit Shield however, Zamorakian spears are great for the Corporeal Beast.
  2. I was using firemaking Brawling gloves in +1 bh world, and I checked items kept on death to see that I'd keep them, then realised I'd forgot d spear so went and got it from bank. Burnt a few loads of logs, then get clawed with 600k xp left on brawls. I clicked teletab as I'd forgotten you can't use teletabs in bh, didn't work of course so I died. Spawned in edgeville with a dragon spear and no fm brawls. :(
  3. He killed someone for them. And nice bank. Yea, it's very easy to kill someone for untradeable books.
  4. The bone key from Shilo Village quest is also unobtainable, and there's a great chinning spot in there which you can't access if you dropped it.
  5. You get a program to do the clicking for you. Even the best script out there only gets 3.9-4.0k exp per hour 13,034,431 xp 3,950 xp per hour ------------------------------ 3,299 hours = 137 days = 4 and a half months assuming uninterupted. Leaving a window open on a computer with a script running for 4-5 months isn't hard, especially if you have another computer which you use more often.
  6. Unlike Barrows armor and Godswords, Skillcapes are objects that directly display that the user has achieved Level 99 in . It's not really that we want high level equipment, but more so that we want to display our achievements. Barrows armour shows that you have 70+ Defence (high by Jagex's standards) are enough money/luck to obtain relatively rare armour, compared to other things like rune. Godswords are the same showing that you have 75+ Attack and either have got a hilt somehow or made enough money to afford one. Both items are bad for training as there are better alternatives in almost every situation, and yet they are still worn by many as show off items, which also have decent stats in comparision to the rest of the armours in RuneScape. Skillcapes are exactly like this, they show you have achieved something and are high level. They give good bonuses and yet in almost every situation you could use another cape instead (fire, accumalator, god cape) for better bonuses in whatever skill you may be training. They are basically a show off item, just like the four godswords and six Barrows armour sets are. Suggesting that F2P get skillcapes, which are high level P2P content, is just as bad as suggesting that F2P get access to Barrows or God Wars, which are both high level P2P content. If you want to get a skillcape, become a member. Jagex made them P2P only for a reason, and changing their mind now would be a terrible decision for both the RuneScape community, and Jagex themselves. Backtracking on what you've opposed the last few years and starting to support it is almost as ridiculous as the idea that was suggested pre-december 2007 that Jagex start selling RuneScape gold themselves, to counter RWT. I see your point, however our discussion is getting a bit too long, as this thread is for "Why can't F2P have?" not debating what F2P should and should not have. Feel free to continue the debate in the "Should F2P have Skillcapes?" thread. That's exactly what I'm trying to say, "Should F2P have Skillcapes?" is just as bad as saying "Should F2P have any other high level P2P content?" Skillcapes are P2P for exactly the same reason that other high level P2P content such as Barrows/godswords are. If Jagex were to give F2P Skillcapes, why wouldn't they give F2P Barrows or godswords or any other high level P2P only content?

  8. +1 I see no reason F2P shouldn't get Skillcapes. But I'm good for updates right now. Though seeing how much we've gotten over the last while, I wouldn't be surprised if we got more sooner or later. Why should F2P get Skillcapes and not get Barrows armour or godswords? All 3 are high level P2P items which are main reasons for lots of people for getting P2P, so why should F2P get only one of them, and not all of them?

  10. Why does autoing to all 99s make him a legend?
  11. Or you could not be an idiot and try purposely to annoy people? :)
  12. Wait, so you're complaining that you went into a dangerous PvP area, with two signposts before you log in, and before you enter the wilderness, to try and kill other people. You didn't manage to kill another person and instead got killed by someone with better armour and a better weapon than you, so are now complaining because you want them to fight you on your terms instead of their own?

    (lock)

Why should I get less chance of getting a sceptre, and get less strength xp just because you can't handle a level 80 mummy?
  14. He said granite, and this is truly a rant. I'm sorry you were getting 80%, but isn't it your fault for crashing the guy? Two wrongs don't exactly make a right. im crashing him for crashing someone else. if you kill a murderer, does it make you a murderer? maybe so, but you have a legitimate reason. If you kill a murderer because he killed someone how does that make you any better than him? And why shouldn't someone else then kill you for killing the murderer, hence making you now a murderer. And no, there is never a legitimate reason to kill someone.
  15. Buyable skills: Defence Hitpoints Ranged Magic Prayer Fletching Firemaking Crafting Construction Smithing Cooking Herblore Farming Nonbuyable skills: Attack Strength Hunter Woodcutting Thieving Agility Mining Fishing I've left out Summoning, Slayer and Runecrafting because, although you can buy all the supplies for them (cannonballs, barrages for charms, pure essence) they aren't that often considered buyables as they take a long time, even with all the supplies.
  16. Because it isn't. See pages 100-1,950 for discussion of the rates. If you have a problem with what me, ydraisel, Queltar, and Zarfot worked out, feel free to show where. What are you trying to prove? If you want to train the most efficient way you'll train with Slayer as getting 99 Slayer with 99 Attack, Strength and Defence is faster than getting 99 Attack, Strength and Defence, and then get 99 Slayer afterwards. If you want to find the best possible melee xp/hr it's obviously not going to be Slayer as, nomatter what the skill, the fastest way to train it loses money.
  17. Why? All I see is two posts I wrote agreeing with each other. Perhaps you should look a little closer. Because first you said Slayer was very bad XP, then you said it was superior to all other forms of combat.
  18. I did. Actually, I wrote it. Then how do you know I'm either contradictory or trying to tell you how to play? All of my statements thus far have been in agreement, every single point of my original argument stands, and in no way whatsoever was this thread designed to influence decisions - if anything, I would be biased towards slayer, as I am trying to prove it superior to other forms of combat \ Maybe you need glasses.
  19. Who are you talking to? I said I liked slayer, and it's one of my favorite skills so it's obviously not me :? Try reading the title of this thread. Duly noted in the first 10 pages or so of replies. You must have skipped over the post ;) I don't have time to read through 61 pages of you contradicting yourself and trying to tell me how I should play a game, sorry.
  20. So basically, you missed out on the Holiday items and think you should be given them, when you weren't even around when they came out, just because you want them? The whole point of rares is that they show that you've been playing a long time, letting anyone have them would ruin that.

    Longbows...

They exist because Jagex decided to create them, just like every single other item in the game.
  22. If you don't like Slayer, don't train it. We all know that it's not the fastest possible melee xp/hr, we don't need you to tell us. Why are you so self absorbed that you want everyone else to play the way you want them to? Also, incase you didn't notice, two, eight and seven aren't letter, and the first three characters of my post aren't digits.
  23. I tried killing Yetis after the quest, didn't drop any Yeti hair, but I did get a message in chatbox saying something like "You're having trouble keeping your back straight." So maybe if you stay there for long enough you turn into a Yeti too? Apparently Yeti hair makes a new armour that looks like Yak-hide but is white and gives better defence bonuses but that's just a rumour.
