  1. What? Are you suggesting a moving telescope that travels faster than light? I think Herr Einstein would have something to say about that. Theories and rules are changed every day, you never know, maybe one day Einstein will be proved wrong. John Nash came up with a theorem on the forces of the market that contradicted more than a century of "proven" theories. And he turned out to be right. Although the wording of the original post is kind of strange, and might have been warped after numerous re-tellings.
  2. I support stem cell research, all the way. Currently, if my memory serves me right, stem cells are extracted from a cluster of cells that is created when a fertilized egg develops into after a few days, which admittedly would become a human being given another 8 or so months, but at the time of harvesting, its little more than a bunch of floating cells which are no different from the million of skin flakes that fall off you every day without you noticing. Except of course, these cells could cure a whole multitude of diseases that have plagued mankind for centuries. At this point, the cluster of cells hasn't even got a brain. It thinks as much as that piece of skin that came off your blister, which interestingly, can also be used to generate another clone of you.
  3. Mine don't really care as long as I get enough A's on my report card
  4. Even after the loss of my whip because my other stuff was ranked as more valuable (And that two page thread that resulted from it in the rants forum), I'd still love a party hat, run around with it all the time! Of course, while wearing nothing else, so I'd keep it on death for sure. As for getting hacked, well, as long as you watch your computer, run scans regularly, keep your password to yourself, I don't think you'll ever get hacked. Never have been for 4 years and counting now.
  5. Note to self : Buy BGS before prices [bleep]e with the new update! :ohnoes:
  6. I'm not much of a computer kind of person, so it can get very complicated for me. I spent close to half an hour trying to find out whether my computer could handle COD4. :? (Fortunately it did) Maybe to someone else it isn't complicated, its how we all work I guess.
  7. Yeah, that was really sweet. It was hell funny when the Chinese guys in front of him got to him first instead this woman who I think was his mum, and own mum was like "Why's he hugging those Chinese boys?"
  8. 10k? Wow, talk about patience... OT: Yeah, kill count doesn't really affect whether you get a barrows item, just how much runes/bolts you get. I got a warspear with just 6 kill count. Most important is to kill the 6 brothers, but getting the rest of the stuff helps you break even on dry runs.
  9. When I died, I kept my Dharok's Plate and Legs, as well as my dragon square, but I lost my whip, which is as much as all three of those put together.... :( I REALLY wish we would be able to select which items we keep on death, high alch values aren't reliable...
  10. We're like Freemasons, we have to keep what we do secret... But we are everywhere! There are lots of people I know in my school who play, they just don't want anyone to know.
  11. Lol, rioters on youtube are like NATO. No Action, Talk Only. They'll never get organized enough to start a proper one. And even if they did, what will it do?
  12. Really? Ah crud... So what level would you recommend?
  13. Yeah, spin so fast that the people on the world are sent flying off...
  14. I know they're mostly coup de grace weapons like the dark bow, but are they still okay for training, given their slow speed? I'd try and borrow one, but everyone's charging upwards of 100k and I don't know anyone who has one. So to all the lucky owners out there, is it worth it? Or if you're feeling really kind, you could lend it to me :D
  15. Argh, all the numbers and speculation... I prefer to go by the following principle "Things Just Happen" Although I've penalty for repeatedly killing monsters for a certain drop sounds likely. I got a Guthan's spear first time I went to barrows, never gotten anything worth much since...
  16. I was playing it at a department store with my friend, we got Ivy and some other scantily clad chick when we both hit random. Best part was, despite two underdressed women brawling, all my friend's little brother could care about was the fact that there were dodos walking across the arena!
  17. If you ask me, its made merchanting even easier, don't have to sit around and look for good deals anymore, you just put your offer up and go do something else!
  18. AHH!! Reverse psychology! *implodes*
  19. COD4 Terry Pratchett The Red Guy
  20. At risk of suffering extra pain and discomfort? HELLO! Given the crime he is being executed for, I say go ahead anyway! Can the pain match what he did to those two women? I doubt it. Or a firing squad would suffice. As someone mentioned, its cheaper. I think its used in the Philippines or Indonesia as an official means of execution.
  21. I was mountain climbing once at 3 in the morning (Guides said so we could catch the sunrise), and the bit we were climbing was smooth rock angling downward, we had to hold on to a rope there. Then all of a sudden the guy in front of me slips on the ice on the rocks and since he's still holding onto the rope we all get dragged along and we start sliding toward the edge, and at night and 3km above the ground what was over the edge was just a big black abyss, like falling off into space. I was so convinced I was going to fall off to my death and die a messy splat at the foot the mountain! But the guides managed to haul all six of us up by pulling the ropes up. :)
  22. Its for game balance. Its already a tenth the price of dragon armour, with more defence stats, there has to be SOME sort of drawback somewhere.
  23. PP is good from 50 to 60, though some people say there are better methods. As for potting for DT, I don't think you can even start the quest unless you have the minimum requirements. Even if you can, its potting for thieving isn't such a good idea. I've heard of people breaking 20+ lockpicks and still not opening the chest at level 53.
  24. You need to find him at his house outside the G.E, talk to him, he'll give you another one.
