  1. Inflation mainly. I haven't played in months and have gained money.
  2. I can do about 1.3k d bones an hour at my gilded alter, that's about 320k xp per hour, with each trip having at least 1 minute of afk time usually more. How much easier and faster do you want prayer to be? Other than that I agree with most of the other things you said though. I don't want it to be necessarily easy at all. I just want it to be different. Prayer is not even a skill based around combat, if you consider the way you train it. You train prayer the way you would train a non-combat skill. And if you would like to look into it, then prayer is the equivalence of Herblore, and how we got non-tradable potions. Prayer costs a lot, and the only way you can use the higher level prayers is by spending a lot of money to level up, which if you ask me is the same thing people were complaining about when the overload potions came out. If burring bones was made easier and more worthwhile, or we were given another way to gain prayer xp off of each kill we get, then prayer would be less biased to rich people, and PvP would no longer be based around how rich you are. However, as of now and how it has always been, prayer is just another skill to buy up, rather than train. This argument is mainly for Jagex, because it's rather hypocritical for them to take extremes and overloads out of the wilderness but not take out prayers. The argument is also because prayer shouldn't be a grind skill, and there are plenty of other options that could be made to train it.
  3. [hide] :-( :? :( :x :x     [/hide]
  4. We all have our own personal limits, and thus, our own personal definition of "addiction". Personally, 4 hours a day would be addiction for me. However, I shouldn't shake my finger at you, since you play 4.5 hours a day. I just want to be clear about something: I don't agree with that amount of hours. I could never play that much, I would think it would be unhealthy for me to play that much. Nevertheless, that's not to say that it is unhealthy for the person next to me. Until you can actually see it negatively affecting this person's life, you (tip.it, not just you) have no real business claiming it is unhealthy. Arguably, even when you see it is "unhealthy", you still don't have any business. Well in that case, I consider 10 beers, throwing up, getting completely wasted and waking up the next morning in someone's front yard, then doing it again the next day completely normal and an average lifestyle. That is not an addiction to alcohol. However, I can only assume someone else out there disagrees. The point is, everyone can have their opinion, however there is always a line between unhealthy and healthy. There is always a line of equilibrium, between what people averagely say is normal and not. In a criminals mind stealing and robbing is the lifestyle they choose and is the way life has always been, however in the eyes of a hard-working adult, the criminal is completely out of sync between the norm of society. The medium of people, in mathematical terms, believe the criminal is wrong. The same could be said for gamers who spend 10 hours a day in front of a monitor.
  5. We haven't had a new weapon worth training with for high levels since Slayer was released. God wars brought out new armor, but was the last time we have seen armor worth wearing. High levels only have one challenging boss to fight, the Corp, and people have already begun to solo it. Smithing hasn't seen a skill changing update since 2001. The biggest update Firemaking has seen was when you didn't have to drop logs in order to light them, in 2003. We've been training prayer the same way for ages, and it's still a broken skill to train with because you HAVE to grind it or else it will be way too slow. Magic still hasn't been completely fixed, because combat is still too expensive to train with, and is pointless to even use unless in PvP. Agility is still a boring skill to train, and needs to be made to where there other options to level up rather than mindlessly clicking back and forth on obstacles and swings. I could keep on going, but I'd rather you take the hint that Runescape actually does have updates that are needed. In fact, the past 3-5 years has been Jagex completely ignoring a lot of updates, and instead whipping out useless minigames or pointless PvP changes. In which, most likely 85% of Jagex' devotion to this game has been thinking of what update will look good with PvP, and have completely ditched the idea of PvM.
  6. It's a pretty good idea to let other trusted developers come to Jagex in order for their game to be published. Considering not many people have the power and no-how of browser based Java games like they do, I think Jagex has an upper hand in the competition. And with Jagex' fanbase, it's a smart move for the developer. Extra money for Jagex, more games to put under their advertising belt, and even more productivity for the people who made the game. Win win win, if you've seen The Office. However the game, already, has turned me off by simply being based around such a strong plot line. All that Ancient China crap just doesn't interest me. Keep a strategy game simply a strategy game. I don't want to read through tedious storyline and dialog fest mouth breathers. I just want it to be fun and entertaining, and not built around a certain subject. I just hope it isn't like Puzzle Quest. It's a great puzzle game, but the story is [bleep]ing annoying and the plot it takes you down is completely not necessary.
  7. Is he trying to make you believe he can see your IP through magical powers provided through the Runescape Client? Or is he to make you believe that he is willing to do something completely and utterly illegal just because you nearly killed him. If anything that could have been reported to Jagex for threatening to place attacks on your computer via the internet. If you were lucky he could have been banned :)
  8. Hasn't Jagex already stated that the person with the highest amount of time spent on F2P was at 17,000 hours. Her name is Diamond something I think. If that's true, then there is a possibility that is our winner.
  9. What you basically want is for Jagex to create a mobile friendly web page for the Runescape domain. You do not need a whole app to be made, just a web page that fits and is friendly to mobile devices.
  10. I'm not in school...? If I was, I still wouldn't in this economy. Money won't buy you [cabbage] right now. As of now, Junk is a better currency than coins.
  11. No. If there is ever a crash, it is because people who create accounts on forums just to make a thread spreading false speculations and creating a mock hype of updates that are non-existent.
  12. There are 2 too many things that need to be changed to make this program fit within Jagex' standards. First and foremost, take it out of the JFrame. That is the sure-fire way to get your account banned, because you are now in the land of modified clients, which happened to not be cool. Instead, have the client built around a web browser that loads up the Runescape main page each time it is opened. Secondly, take away the auto-selecting worlds option. There was a big fiasco about this with swiftswitch, so don't even try it. Thanks, and good luck with your thingy.
  13. Seems about right....
  14. Why do people who don't have a twitter hate it so much? I have it, except i only follow my friends and jagex. Its nice cause its like a texting chatroom with friends, and i can learn about new updates from my phone when im in school :) Because it's just another website that wastes time to check. It's annoying that Jagex decides to give away hints to future content on a 3rd party website. Why don't they use their own forums for that? Twitter is just a fad that has already started to fade away.
  15. Hello all. I've finally gotten the stats to finish heros quest in RSC, however cannot seem to find a single person that will help me out. I'm the in black arm gang, and am looking for someone in the phoenix gang to help out. I have all the items you will need (Bow and arrows). All I am asking is for someone to come out to brimhaven and help me get the candle sticks. Thanks :)
  16. It only really overtakes range, because who in there right mind actually uses magic for combat. Until magic is a reasonable price to fight with (AKA free or a one time cost) then no one will fight monsters with it, thus making a slayer helm for magic extremely useless. And the range slayer helm would help in a sort of way, but there are really only a few monsters made to range on. Sure the ranged slayer helm would help, but most of your tasks would be tanking with range gear, which is basically melee, which would make the helm useless because we already have a tanking slayer helm. Basically what I am getting at is, Jagex made this game melee based and has neglected any other form of combat for years, and has seen no attempt to make it any different. You can't say the mask overpowers the other forms of combat when melee in itself is doing that job quite well.
  17. Post it on youtube. No one is going to download that.
  18. Well this sure did take forever...
  19. @above. Haha that's awesome. Neat.
  20. This exact reason was why Living Rock Caverns was awesome but the woodcutting rebalance sucked. Woodcutting is faster to train, but it's still completely worthless, whereas mining and fishing can be trained more easily now, but you actually have some incentive to level them. Too bad mining still sucks balls for the first 77 levels, which happens to be the make or break levels a person goes through in order to decide if they like the skill or not. We need concentrated ore for silver and iron.
  21. Not gonna lie, you load pictures even if they are in a hide tag. Cropping is not necessarily needed at all times. I do believe that people should crop out their browser if they aren't using a screen capture program. If you are complaining about blank space, then please realize a 1000x1000 picture of nothing but black will have a smaller file size than a 100x100 picture of intricate colors. The sizes of image files are tricky, because the size of the picture does not matter nearly as much as the amount of detail. Such as, a picture of RS in standard detail at 2048x1536 will most likely be a smaller file size than a High Detail capture on a 640x480 screen.
