  1. Whoever gets the luckiest hits first. Combat is luck. He is just unlucky.
  2. Although I am a little greedy, I liked the old login applet better than this one. I understand the need for a change and why they did it, but that old applet was really really cool. I liked how the little golden lights would follow your cursor when you got near them.
  3. Lol, but with the new forums every picture cannot go past a certain size. They all re-size depending on your monitors width. Plus I can't even find the hide tag button. Do you have to write it out now?
  4. Well I can certainly say the only reason raw sharks are even that high of price is because they are still the best way to gain cooking xp. The reason for Cooked sharks however is because they are a pretty decent merchant item. You can get a good 5m off them a day if you time it right. It probably has a bit to do with the GE mechanics though. You're most likely right.
  5. I'd personally kill both. Just switch between the two when you want to. They are both great money makers.
  6. Okay I'm stupid. Worthless topic NVM.
  7. But bandos is soooooo boring. I can't stand fighting bandos for prolonged periods of time. I don't see how people do it.
  8. I'd say varrock, but sometimes I forget to collect staves. So Seers for the EE.
  9. If I had known about Golden Joystick without Jagex' informant headline, I would have voted on my own. However, I had no clue about this award, and with Jagex' help I was able to vote. Honestly, what's so wrong about advertising something to get an upper hand. Blizzard spams World of Warcraft commercials on T.V. and flings their advertisements all over the internet. However, I don't see you complaining about how they advertise. There is nothing wrong with trying to win.
  10. Defend the flag so it doesn't leave the base. Try to capture the flag. I'd use ancients if you are really in need of a win.
  11. The only thing wrong with the economy is Inflation. The reason for Inflation is because of the PvP artifacts pouring pure cash into the game. The solution, is to take away PvP artifacts. Not the GE. A lot of people think Junk trading is a bad thing, and that because you can't buy an item off the GE the system is broken. Let me tell you, the grand exchange was not made for the only means of trading. If you can't get an item off the GE then there is always direct player to player interaction, or in other words Trading. If you can't get an item for the GE price, then by golly you are going to have to find another way to do so. Now I'll just stop all of this right here with the truth. JaGex CANNOT bring back RWT through legal obligations. If they were to, then there would be no more Runescape. People steal credit cards to create accounts in order to macro on. Those stolen credit cards get shoved up JaGex [wagon] when the owner tells the bank that their card has been used. The money they had originally been given from the stolen card has to be given back to the bank and owner. Thus, Jagex would never know how much cash they truly have because it would be bouncing from Jagex to bank to owner to all over.
  12. Black Masks drop more often than you think.
  13. Vestas Long Sword. Statius's Plate. Statius's Legs. Elysian Spirit Shield. Slayer Helm. You might want to pack away a few 100 VLS' for serious training.
  14. 99. Sharks are always slow no matter what. They are useless to catch in all honesty. Monkfish are much better xp and cash. If it's GP you want though, don't fish at all. Fishing is not good for cash.
  15. Go to Bandos Mass or TD mass. That will be the quickest way to get back to higher lsp. Waiting it out would take months depending on how high your lsp was when you got the hilt. If you were at a really high lsp in the first place, chances are it may not take too long. If you had missed out on a whole lot of drops, there will be people lower than you even though you just went down 68m lsp. Honestly though, I'd go into a 3-4 man CS to SGW and slowly build up your lsp while still getting good splits. It's around 2m split for SS and around 20m for hilt.
  16. f2p world. You got teleported to a F2P world? 0_o Am I missing something here? Gullibility. It's obviously a fake...
  17. Honestly that is what I've been thinking the new skill will be. The new shop change made me pretty confident on my assumption.
  18. This is a good idea, however lower levels will suffer. Imo you should have to risk a certain amount depending on your combat lvl. This would make the lower lvls still able to pk, and the higher lvls no longer able to 76k. Although to be honest, you should just get whatever the person is wearing, seriously ppl are gonna RWT no matter what jagex do. The way I see it is, the current system is better for someone who was RWT'ing before. It used to be that you had to pay a certain price for 1m cash, but now all you have to do is sit around for an hour to gain 1m. Concidering the time it probably took to make a transaction between RWT'ers, I'd probably assume 76k'ing is better cash than the old free trade.
  19. In fast maneuvering situations you've got to know where your stuff is. That's not OCD, that's thinking smart.
  20. In other news... We have read through the comments on our Official Forums, and have decided to release Sailing as the next installment in the skill tab. The Runescape Classic Servers are up and running, and thanks to our players support we have decided to maintain constant updates to the old RS per week. Inflation is no longer a problem, as we have taken away all artifact drops from PvP. Instead you will recieve special PvP equipment as compensation. All current artifacts will be replaced with it's respectful equipment counterpart. We have decided it will be best to give more information of our in development MMO, Stellar Dawn. Yes, Stellar Dawn is the official name for the once 'Code Name: Mechscape' Title. Check the official website, www.stellardawn.com, for more information. Thanks, Andrew.
  21. I really wonder how long you have been playing this game. If you've been playing since RSC then you have no reason to complain. The GE has corrupted every single player today. They see something and expect it to become instant. There was a day when buying herbs was a guessing game and leveling herblaw (yes) meant you were well rounded and used your surroundings well. Herblaw was a team game, and you had to convince your friends and peers that once you had a high enough level you would supply them with potions. Even in RS2, before the GE, it was still a game where you were forced to work together in order to level fast. Don't expect all skills to fold out in front of you. I wish for an entire week Jagex would shut down the GE and put the workers on strike. That would encourage players to become less independent and more team-friendly. This is not a single player game, even if you want to make it out to be.
  22. The reason you buy skills instead of collecting your own material is because it is not as efficient anymore. It used to be where buying 99 cooking was near impossible because there were less players, thus making it more efficient to fish your own raw materials. Even today, why would you fish for sharks to get 99 cooking. Even the lowest of players can get faster GP off of green dragons, rather than fishing sharks. And even with crafting, why would you kill green dragons for their hides, when GWD is much more entertaining and in the long run more profitable. How many people bury every bone they see, when they can buy dragon bones for quicker XP. The reason behind all of this is because GP and trading is much easier to come around. I no longer have to go to world 2 for an hour and pay for overpriced products like back in the old days, where having the skill to create something was more efficient.
  23. Personally I don't mind the older graphics still being present. There are a few older quests that I decided to do recently, after years avoiding quests, and I did notice a lot of primitive models and animation. It reminded me of how this game is a work in progress. Not everything should be put to the top priority of updates. Some cave that was created 5 years ago that you only visit once for a few minutes should not be given a complete graphical makeover when there are still areas that need attention. Sure it would be nice if some of the more visited places could be updated; such as the desert, slayer castle, relleka, and brimhaven, however there should be no rush to get those areas set. I'm fine with the way things are going with graphics and animations. As long as there is a useful update each week, I will keep playing this game.
