  1. New Boss that will be available to F2P, or a new quest available to F2P. Unless if the skill will be slowly released in small pieces of content.
  2. There will always be somebody who hates the idea of flipping, and there will be somebody who likes it. If you use a real life example, it would be like somebody buying out the Nintendo Wii's they can find around Christmas time the year they were released then selling them on Ebay for profit. I personally don't think it's right for somebody to do that in real life because that's outrageous and unfair for other people, but I do not see it being wrong in a game like Runescape. Honestly, this is just a game to play and the people who flip merchant are doing it because they enjoy it. I used to do it back in World 2 fally when there were no trade limits. I was just a median for anybody who wanted a set of barrows fast. Without merchanters there would be a lot less trade going on than you would think. There's a large fraction of items in the game bought by merchanters flipping or investing, and without them selling items on the GE would take a lot longer than it does now.
  3. Hey don't worry! They'll completely surprise us by giving one of the implings a drop that will make the whole update completely worthwhile. They'll make it so that people forget about how sucky the content was because the item that comes along with it will force you to hunt them, and by that I mean it will be something along the lines of...oh I don't know dragon arrow heads. Maybe if we're lucky they'll manage to make a item that is has no correlation between catching imps, and perhaps even manage to balance the combat triangle with them! What I'm trying to say is, Jagex makes horrible decisions about what to do with an update. If they realize the update sucks balls they whip out a good reward to make us forget. If the update is not fun whatsoever, or is completely a waste of time, they whip out a way to balance the triangle (See Dragon Arrowtips).
  4. I can't tell if it's a good thing to fail the fight caves 10+ times. I failed the caves once and only tried once. That is when I realized I was not about to risk wasting 20-30 hours of my life on a minigame when I could be using my membership for something more useful. If the combat in the fight caves was fun then yes it wouldn't be a waste of time because I would be having fun, but in my opinion getting to Jad is extremely boring and easy, and once you've got to him once you will never want to again because of how long it takes.
  5. last i heard it was that much. But the point remains at 50mil still. Its inconstant with other content. Why kill high hitting dangerous boss monsters when you can afk your way to 93 slayer and get your 50mil staff with no effort. Because obviously it takes no concentration or fighting skills if the 50 year olds on the forums are complaining that Jad is too hard... True its going to drop, but personally i think the cape is the only thing that justified the reward Jad isn't hard. It's impossible if your connection isn't the best or if your computer is older. Jagex stands by making runescape a game where any computer with any specs and any OS can play, and I don't think it's right if they are bringing out content that goes against that standard. Jad is already a bad piece of content because of this issue, and not to mention the only fun part about the fight caves is the fight with Jad, though the 2 hours to get with him is hell and is constant click and wait fighting. Personally I say Jagex should fix fight caves but that's a whole different story.
  6. Not really much difficult than having a slayer monster that, say, requires a quest to access. Personally my thing with the fire cape req is that a quest can be done without a chance of failure and wasting X hours doing it over and over with nothing to show for it. Summer's End. While Guthix Sleeps. Nomad's Requiem. Mourning's End Pt. II. Need I continue? Summer's End: It doesn't take 2 hours to get to the boss, and if you die you're forced to spend another 2 hours getting to it again. White guthix Sleeps: It's not like if you die at the very end of the quest you're forced to restart it. Plus it's not difficult. Nomad's Requiem: The boss only takes a few minutes, and if you die you can go right back to him and try it again. Mournings End Pt. II.: When you leave the area the mirrors don't get reset, so it really isn't much of a challenge as it is a puzzle. No amount of Quest compares to Jad, because with Jad you waste hours of your life with nothing in return if you die. At least with quests if you die you can start right back where you started. Which in my opinion is the only reason I have decided to beat Jad, is because if you die you just wasted time and membership.
  7. I believe it is used for a high aspiration task. I'd stick to it for sure ;) What he said. NEVER EVER SELL IT. Even if you are finished all of your aspirations tasks and have beat the game, it would be better to use on a legend to increase it's loyalty than by selling it.
  8. I would kind of agree, but the SOL is so badass that I don't see how they could add anything else to magic without making it overpowered for the first time in years. I'd say that the triangle is mostly perfect right now. Not everything deals with PvP ya know. I'd whip out a random statistic, but I think it's easy enough to say that not even half the players of this game PvP enough to even notice the combat triangle. If it's PvM we are talking about, then the combat triangle is no where near being balance. The best way to analize the system is by taking a step back and figuring out what style of combat is used the most. If the same amount of people use range as much as they use mage, and mage to melee to range to melee again, then the system would have no need to be changed. However that is not the case because Magic costs way too much to use and it doesn't have a high hit rate on all monsters, thus making it imbalanced because who would use Mage when you can use range or melee well over 1/10 of the cost. Range is not used as much as melee because if you want to actually train it with a reasonable cost you won't hit nearly as good. Not to mention every monster is created with melee being it's top priority, because there really aren't that many intentional safe spots in this game. Range and mage would be used more if there were monsters with safespots that hit so much and through prayer that tanking would be stupid to do. Simple to say, it's hard to range or mage when you might as well melee since you're going to be tanking anyways.
  9. Do all English people wear weird long gray socks like that one guy?
  10. 16 penguin points used on herblore at 85 herb=saves me ~800-900k GP. This saves an hour of time. 1 hour=1 mil. So really, this does save a good bit. If you figure everything out, it really doesn't save anything. You gain more charms for 40 minutes, but you don't gain more money. That means, although you do get the extra charms you still have to get the cash to pay for the extra charms. Also if you add up all the time it takes to get ready for the D&D, then the time to get ready to fight, then switching worlds and other inconveniences you really only have a max of around 30-35 minutes extra charms and possibly less plus the time it took you to find the locations and all of that Jazz. Honestly the whole thing is an inconvenience rather than a helpful addition.
  11. This was a complete waste of Jagex' time. A distraction and diversion should do what is exclaims, distract and divert. Instead, this update makes you think "Do I want to waste 20 minutes finding the D&D location, more time completing the event, more time gearing up to fight for charms, then hopping worlds when the world is too full, and then finally being able to kill the monster with only 30 minutes left of my time." Yes that is a big distraction, so much that it wastes your time rather than being worthwhile. It would be a worthwhile update if it was available once a day, instead of once a week. And instead of 40 minutes in-game-time, it does what barrows does and subtract only fight time so that you don't feel like you are being rushed to pull off the event.
  12. Wait, what would be the point in a colored crystal bow if nobody uses it? It would make more sense if we had the option to color crossbows, considering the majority of everybody ranges with crossbows because they are more efficient...
  13. Killing impling trading to make them drop charms seems a bit much, maybe make them a different item when they have been traded, and let the new item not give charms, but it would be getting a bit complicated. Or just make a new impling that has summoning rewards...
  14. Honestly I saw nothing game changing. There was a little advertisement above the chat that would pop up every now and then, and when clicked would take you to the Shop screen. Quite a bit of the graphics were updated, or at more detailed pictures were seen. There were 2 pages worth of quest items in the shop, so I assume a lot more quests are available to do. Also I couldn't find a Labour Bill in the Shop, so maybe chances are they will be taken out.
  15. 2) Will the new dungeon bring new high level armour and/or weapons? I am not willing to say with which update we will release new high level armour and weapon but yes, they are being designed as we speak. I just got out of a meeting with a lot of quite impressive numbers being discussed! Will you also add high level content for the combat skills (like weapons with higher requirements)? Fetzki: As I just said: They are being done! Clearly there will be armor better than what we already have.
  16. Oh ... My ... God. Take the blue, and hold it. Wear it with pride, it's the ultimate status symbol. Unless you have a lot of junk to trade you will never sell it for its true price. Plz don't sell for divine :ohnoes: :ohnoes: agreed. you must have a lot of balls to put your risk into those things. >.> not putting a risk in it, i really have always hated phats. i had a yellow at one time and it was annoying just having it in your bank. im not a skiller at all, i HATE skilling with a passion, my ultimate goal is to have a spirit shield set at some point. a divine will actually get me cash from soloing, rather than a blue phat that just sits in my bank when ill never get enough junk to ever sell it for its true price unless i get a divine and maybe a couple other rares out of it Actually it would be a really foolish move to trade it in for something like a divine. Just think about it, you read months ago in the first content team Q&A that Jagex has higher level armor in the making, and even in this recent Q&A that it's still in production. What's going to happen when a better shield than a divine comes out and you are stuck with a falling item. If there ever comes a shield better than a divine the street price will drop drastically. Not to mention, if you had a blue you could easily trade it for a full set of whatever high level items come out. Think about the future, not about the now.
  17. Okay with a bit of snooping around I found the original name of World of Legends. It is called World of Feng Sheng (封神无敌). I did a bit of site hoping until I found the original site for the game. Now i have no clue how to read Chinese, but I do have a faint clue as how to make a bit of guess work. I clicked a bit and typed a bit, until at last I saw a loading screen for the original World of Legends, World of Feng Sheng. Here is how I did it. Please remember, any links I give you are at your own risk. Just because I was able to surf safely does not mean the same may apply to you. For this guide I used Google Translations to help you guys out. I went to http://www.51fswd.com/default.aspx, and then noticed it was all in Chinese. The first buttons I saw was the two big turquoise ones on the left of the screen. I clicked on the second button and it took me to a Registry page so that I could make an account. The first text entry box is for a Username, and the second box is for your Nickname. The box after that is for your password, and the box after that is the password conformation. Then comes the Email box, where you put your email. Lastly, the final box you just type in the letters or numbers you see to the right. The checkmark is saying you have read the terms of service. Once you have gotten past that page to the next you can choose your server. I just decided to go with the first one on the list. Now the game should be loading up, and will look similar to the current War of Legends. Also in case you guys are wondering, the Chinese version has the same amount of building teams and requires you to use a labor bill. It may not be the best guide, but I wanted to share with you the origin of the game. Also, the English version is currently 9 versions behind the Chinese. So expect some updates. Have fun :)
  18. This was for a task to invade a lvl 10 wildy. Notice the 22k red, and the prisoner I got ;) Now here is the prisoner :) My highest legend, even higher than my main haha. Edit: After finishing the level 10 occupation you get new tasks in the crusades tab. Also notice the reward for this task...haha
  19. I'd rather have more mosters to kill and more places to kill them than more worlds.
  20. America's President Day is tomorrow. There might be a better chance for an update since more people would be logged on.
  21. This is probably the best rank I will ever be on WoL. I might as well bask in it while it lasts. I got a bunch of lucky trigrams and boxes of bliss :)
  22. Games are escapes, not another life to figure out. Rather than making a big deal out of everything and doing everything to a grand scale, I sit back and do what sounds interesting at the time. If nothing sounds interesting, then I chose not to do anything and go back to real life. That's the whole of this game for me, and that is how I train skills. I don't care how much money I have or how much something costs. This isn't real life, so stop worrying so much about everything. You don't have a mortgage to pay or a bill nagging at you, so I see no reason to evolve around situations as if you are living a life inside your avatar.
  23. Well I'm just going to put things together. The name is called Shattered Heart and we know that you will randomly receive an item in your inventory while skilling. The item will most likely be a piece of a Heart Rune that has shattered, and once you find enough of the pieces you can put them together to form a whole Heart Rune which was lost in which you can turn in for either an Experience Reward, Cash Reward, or a unique outfit that has no bonuses. This is basically a random event incognito. The storyline is about the 2nd age and it's runes, which is why I came up with the Rune idea. If it is not a Heart Rune, then it will have something to do with the Mage's heart that was in one of the great battles during the 2nd age. I think that summed up basically all speculation that can and will occur.
