Hoorjay. I'm still there. \o/

I'm thinking slayer helmet+fury would make no-prayer Abberants quite nice. Sacrificing 5% attack and def would be worth it for a whopping +15 magic defense. Not to say the fury doesn't have nice offense as well. I'll probably get the mask first, since Duradel doesn't really give too many horrible tasks anymore.

Barrows Armor - Not like Jagex had\should have planned?
RyderJ replied to compfreak847's topic in General Discussion
Maybe Barrows items are easier to get, but it's cheap because, as has been said, it's been out for years. But you also need to think about how GWD hasn't even been out for a year yet, and Bandos has dropped so much already. 26m isn't a set price. There are teams at Bandos on every world think of how many armor pieces enter the market every day. The price will go down, eventually. Just as Barrows did. I see 6m for a pair of tassets in the near future. -
First that ever killed me was the Jail Guard east of Draynor. :P Lowest that ever killed me... Goblin. XD I wanted to see how many I could kill before dying, so I three itemed with a steel kite, plate, and scim. I don't remember how many I killed though. *sadness*

Greyhound. Because I love them in real life. They're such sweethearts. In RS, though, I don't see the point of a dog. My raven is fine until I get a baby green dragon. Heh.

I Really Respect People With That Cape Because.....
RyderJ replied to BunnyOnSmack's topic in Questionnaires
hurrr i thin cookin is teh bets skil cap I'd say in order, I respect: RC>Agil>Summon>Herb>Slay>Con. -
I've had mine since they first came out when I got it as a drop, I didn't sell it THEN for 5m, and I won't sell it for that now. :P

Not at his/her level. Right now, no log is good for money. Train to 70-80, then cut for money. Until then, just do willows. Eucs are nice, I use them a lot, but I wouldn't if I was in my 60s. :P

The no killing was part of why I loved it. It's been a while since we've had a real Skiller's Quest.

Ah Craven, I feel your pain, but there isn't much we can do but deal with it. I had 1.4k posts, and now I'm a spider egg again. I usually don't care about post count, but how do you think that'll effect how people see me here? My Salamander guide which I put a hell of a lot of work into is gone. The cache didn't let me get it back, so that, along with a ton of other peoples' hard work has been deleted. It's no one's fault, though. The Admins did a lot to get the forums back online, so we should be thankful. Sorry man. We're all in this together. :|
-
Hmm. The best guides were probably deleted. But my advice: Wear Karils/Arma, not dhide. Use a Zammy Spear/Sara Sword/T Hammers/Verac's Flail. Get 68 summoning.

Just cut willows. Your level is too low to powercut teaks, or cut yews for real profit. For crafting, it's a little harder. Try mining gold and then using up whatever gems you've saved up to make bracelets and such, which you can then sell/alch. Or just buy sapphires and gold bars to turn into bracelets, for quite minimal gp loss. The smithing's gonna take you a while. You could make a heck of a lot of cballs, and make a lot of money, or you could try to break even buying mith bars to smith into bolts.
-
Haha, think of how PO'd the people that worked so hard to get 65 smithing for Devious Minds alone are right now... That was an awesome quest. Challenging, too. But incredibly entertaining. And 100k total exp rewarded? Shhyeah.
-
Why not try the Mage Training Arena? The levels would go by fast, as the activity changes a lot. Unlock Bones to Peaches, try to get an Infinity Hat, I did that for a ton of my Magic. If not, just alch.
-
I always point people towards the KB instead of answering obvious questions. It helps to train them. But if I ever have something I don't know about, I always look it up there first. I don't who has the odd odd instinct to ask random people questions they can easily find out.
-
Ah, it's a common crisis. People hated Leesters for releasing his Barrows guide way back when. I'm on your side, though. I like sharing good finds with the community. :P
-
I suggest training slayer first. After that, you can try Harpie Bug Swarms for insanely fast clues. They're killed super fast, and drop level 2s. For level 3s, try ankou, Jellies, Turoths, and green dragons.
-
And you may also want to access the Fairy Rings. AJR takes you outside the Slayer Caves to the east of Relekka. Or you could move your house there, and use the house tele to get there.

Yet another barrow guide, but this one burns (no pun)
RyderJ replied to totalpwnage's topic in General Guides
What the- someone made this guide before me? Huh. Oh well, at least mine was deleted. -

Sigh. The cache won't let me get my Salamander Guide back... sadness. I worked hard on that. -
The thing is, Duradel only gives one task I'd ever Burthorpe now. So I'm just praying I don't get Warped Terrorbirds.

My post count doesn't matter THAT much to me, but as a little known Tiffer, that not many people would recognise, it's a little more of a status symbol. I'm not one to whine about my post count, or spam forums to raise it, but I am kind of disappointed that now even fewer people will take any note of me. Well. I'm not the special anyway, I guess. :P As for upgrading to PhpB3, I hate it too. But I'm sure that after a month or two of using it, it'll feel a little more natural. I hated Phpbb2 in the first place, so don't be thinking that's without it's flaws to begin this. Plus, we *just now* got the forum back. There are a ton of tweaks the admins need to deal with, so give it a chance for a week or two, and it'll seem a little more natural. -

Huh. The new PhPbb seems a little awkward for now, but I'm sure we'll adjust. I'm just happy to have the forums back. Also, I wonder what my postcount is like now? I only really started coming here again around 3 months ago... Oh ouch. I'm a spider egg. I had 1410 when I left. *crai* -
Another mithril dragon hunting guide, by wizarthas460
RyderJ replied to wizarthas460's topic in General Guides
Okay, I've killed 100 dragons since my last post here. And I'll say that this is the best method if you want to last many trips. But my favorite is simply Diamond (e) bolts with Karils and a range pot. I only last 5-6 kills, but that way I get to keep almost all the mith bar and bone drops, and along with the rune baxe you get each time, you actually make a profit. I have 90 range, and each kill was costing me 4.5k with this technique, including the pots and food. Maging cost more than double, losing me a bundle. If I fail to get a Helm in 500 kills and give up, I don't want it to be a complete loss... How To Get To 99 Mining!+ Pics [[+4.1k Views]]
RyderJ replied to IgnacioxD's topic in General Guides
Ahh, I'm sorry, I didn't realise it was f2p. In F2P, I suggest mining iron in the Kharid mine, or Edge dungeon and dropping it.
