  1. Laura, you so win for making that reference.
  2. Ahh I don't no banshees existed (well in my head I sorta no they do, but you get the point :P ) Were you making fun of me when you said you didn't know they existed, or did you mean you didn't know they were a myth? :XD: But yeah, ones they based entirely on preexisting beasts don't count.
  3. [/hide] Works for anchor too dont'cher'know  Haha, cool. I so want to do it with an Anchor and a rune cane with a tophat, then get a mime for an awesome Vaudeville picture.
  4. Total level matters more to me than total exp. Anyone can sit in Rogue's den cooking sharks to get 200m cooking exp, but for a high total, you need to be a Jack of all Trades.
  5. If the update is purely P2P, Jagex has really gotten greedy.
  6. Oh I so wish I could only spend 40m to get 99 herb...
  7. Eh, it's a good point, but it may need to wait til next year. :P
  8. Pretty crazy Nech task. 4 half key drops, 4 rune boot drops, the seeds are torstol, snap, and dwarf. All quite rare. Note this is with a ring of life, and only a task of 140. :P The clue was worth 60k, too.
  9. Well, you see, Brine Rats are supposed to be naked mole rats. :P Banshees are banshees, a rather famous myth. Same with Basilisks, Cockatrices, Bunyips, Wyverns, Dragons, etc.
  10. I believe the unicorn's Cure is only like a normal antipoison, meaning it doesn't give any immunity. Also, it costs summoning points. Meaning you can't use it at 0, and you need your precious potion doses for summoning each unicorn. By the way, I'm 70 summoning now, so I can use a bunyip and do this method. Any other newbs wanna do it with me? :P
  11. Slayerrrr ftw. It's how I do all my training. :)
  12. There's a teleport to the barbarian outpost. I doubt you'd be able to get to 90 defense the way you're suggesting, though. It'd be expensive, boring, and pointless. If you insist on it, just bring 500 or so and see how long you can go.
  13. If you have food, it's not camping. :P Just wear good ranged/melee def armor, and fight until you're out of food. If you want to *actually* camp, which means staying for an extended period of time without banking, just bring either Guthans or Bones to Peaches tablets.
  14. You're not that much higher than me in combats. But when I stay for 130 or so kills (I lose track, but based on crimsons recieved) I usually use up quite a few potions, and buying them back at GE price, fixing Barrows at my house, selling all loot at med price as well, I still make a steady loss. Either way, I prefer Slayer, as I have no need for 99 summoning just yet, and Slayer is more constructive combat.
  15. When I'm doing things like slayer, I always debate on if I should keep a stack of charms, or pick up that ranarr on the ground. In those situations, I tend to value: Gold: 200gp Green: 200gp Crimson: 1.5k Blue: 4k. Although these would not be their prices were they tradable, they are how much they're worth to me. So instead of keeping the 2 gold charms while killing iron drags, I'll pick up one extra pair of bones to bank.
  16. About 90% of the time. Waterfiend drops pay for the cost of ppots, repairs, etc. So you really only need 2nds and shards. Good luck. You break even on Waterfiends? :o I was under the impression that cheap people like me just used Slayer for charms. Hm. You know, you could also kill 35,000 dusties and make use of their 60% crimson drop, and get 2-3 d chains. XD
  17. Same chance. No difference whatsoever.
  18. From those options, swordfish. But as was said, bank the tuna as well.
  19. Oh god no. Do you know how freaking pissed your parents would be if you blew $80 on a year of Runescape without their consent? On a cell phone that was already most likely a privilege to have given to you at your age? Granted, you haven't said your age, but I'm willing to bet you're <18. Save up some cash, print out Paybycash's dealy, and follow their instructions. Do it independently, not underhandedly. I use Paybycash for my membership usually; it's simple.
  20. I stopped following this thread a while back because it was frustrating me. :P But what I don't think has been mentioned here is that people with more money have an advantage at life as well. It's kinda how capitalism works. Plus, it's been like this all the time. When I started playing RS, I had a frame rate of about 10 fps when I had a relatively "good" connection. In that situation, all the people with PCs as opposed to my Ye Olde Mac OS9 computer had an upper hand. That's not Jagex's fault. This is the same thing. Just... knocked up a notch.
  21. Everything is a ripoff of everything. Sarcasm aside, although that one's more specific, Jagex "rips off" a million monsters. Except it's not ripping off. It's more of a reference. It's quite possible that that one was a direct reference, but when I think jello monster, I'd probably make the joke of it being a cube, too. :P
  22. Although I have no picture, I'm quite sure I've been hit 28 by him once before.
  23. Two crystal bows. One all the way to Jad, then switch to the full one when you're on him.
