  1. Mostly because "combat noobs" play Runescape for the combat alone, mostly ignoring skills. If your total level is built on combat stats, you're not seen very well in Skillers' eyes. I'm 117 with 1947 total. That's fairly well rounded. I'm a skiller, but I also do a bit of combat.
  2. Heh. But we were both saying the same thing. Although I'm sure the person I quoted didn't have the exact same problem with summoning as me, we both dislike it. :P By the way, 70 summon now.
  3. Took me long enough. Now to see if I can use it to make my money back... maybe try out tribriding.
  4. It would be a good idea to, just drop it once you get to the room, or alch it, just get rid of it somehow. You don't pass by Dragons if you go from the Edge entrance. :P
  5. Summoning. As it uses up a lot of time charm hunting, too, and time = money.
  6. Pros top and bottom, fury, rune defender, black mask/slayer helm, dragon boots/barrows gloves, trimmed skill cape/god cloak. Rune defender's extra offense speeds up kills by enough for it to actually save you more prayer points than a zammy book. Same for the fury.
  7. QFT. Understandable, since you're unranked. If you can't even try the fruits of summoning (or hell, even see some pictures of what familiars can do for people [monster hunting for instance]) you shouldn't make a comment like that  There are already 1,000,000 people with 63 summoning? (I'm ranked 25,642, at the moment, and am getting 6 levels today, oddly enough.) Summoning has it's good points, but it's in no way worth the effort if it was put forth independently. I train it to shut people up about it, but I hate it. Sure, a bunyip is quite useful, but is that worth the hours and hours of charm hunting, and money gathering time that it requires? Not to mention the annoying frustrations of the time limit and such once you DO have 68 summoning. I was happy enough before, and I barely ever use it for anything but adding some more levels to my total. Summoning is a tacked on, hyped up skill, that's not worth it's salt. I'd like to see one familiar that on it's own can make back the cash lost making it, without spending a month collecting egg spawn eggs. There are 3 widely used summons. Bunyips, unicorns, and ). The War Tortoise sure is nice for armadyl soloing, but it'd take a hell of a lot of effort to make back the couple mil sunk into getting that level. And if you do, say, get an Armadyl Helm solo, it's not like the Tortoise did it on it's own.
  8. Zilyana's pretty wicked. But I also love any monster with a "wtf" drop. Like Bloodveld's meat pizza. Or Gargoyle's thread.
  9. I just don't see the Fight Caves as being important enough to a Quester. But maaayyybe if the quest cape was dynamic. Like... fire cape trimming, designs for completed diaries... a quest cape could end up being quite impressive.
  10. Well, yeah, that's what we used to do easily. Now there's no angle where it's always in the same place, so you need to time your click, and compensate for lag and such.
  11. At your level, dusties should be around... 50-55k? And black demons are around 45-50k. But they take less clicking. Try both. :P
  12. Really? You didn't misclick once? They're doable, but it's annoying when you try to hammer them and they jump out of the way for the single split second when you're clicking. -.-
  13. What does killing Tz-Tok Jad have to do with questing prowess? :| We just need to wait for more Diaries. Then finishing those will be a plausible way to trim it. Man, I loved doing the diaries. I wonder which ones will be coming next.
  14. I've seen/heard better. ;)
  15. It DOES do something. But it's so slight that I don't usually use it. After a few bad deaths from lost connections, I'm now totally ocd about keeping my ring of life on at all times. And I still get a couple rare drops on each of my slayer tasks. I don't need that unnecessary risk. I still get 1 or two pairs of rune boots per Nech task. a maul, mystic top or two from gargs, a few lavas and mystic bottoms from Abberants... I see no difference. In fact, I've had better luck now that I stopped using it. Obviously I'm not basing a real opinion on luck, but I really don't miss the RoW.
  16. Yea, a sequel to fishing contest :P "In this month's master quest you will....fish!!!!" Haha. 92 fishing, one lobster away. "zzzz..." *ding*. 93 fishing. CONGRABJUMATIOMS QUEST COMPLETE. "AAAHHH *falls off pier*."
  17. It'd have been pretty funny if you did it realistically. :P PS, Smither, soon you're going to hate Gargoyles. :P
  18. The easter egg is the only other one. And those were recent enough that there are a ton of em out. Although, is the left click (first) option on a Christmas Cracker opening it? That might count. Man, though, I wish I played on the Scythe day...
  19. Holy crap, where can I get a hold of one of those processors? (And the nuclear powerplant needed to run it :P) lulz whoops. You knew what I meant. :P
  20. Well, yeah, you enter in the cave bug room, and the green dragons are right next door. :P Check Tip's Chaos Tunnel map if you need to. http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=chaos_tunnels.htm
  21. How much of that can't you figure out yourself? Use the BH entrance, go to the green drags, bank, repeat.
