With a few specific pk rules (for example, all prayer except protect prayers, or even no eating above a set percentage of HP) with all of them being completely ---> OPTIONAL <--- it could be a good idea. If Jagex actually listened to user feedback then they would be able to modify this into what the people wanted as well.

Imo barrows armour is lame so I agree with you not liking to use it. However I think the degradability of it is a necessity to stop everyone donning a set and then never having another worry again.

Should be done in the case of actual physical violence such as the case above but not when someone just hacks into an account (for example).

After a lengthy time of meditation I reached the conclusion that neither will win since it will be even more boring then just a normal armour match. I'll grant you the privilege of marinating on that.
