Oh my freaking god. This thread is about gun control in USA. And can I assume that everyone thinks that USA needs federal and stricter laws about firearms? That way this thread could be locked and this flame war ended.
  3. I noticed an unopened letter addressed to me on the cupboard. From Norway. Turns out I am legible for 1200€ of tax refund. Only that it is due to June-October, so I don't know exactly when I will get it. But such windfall is great.

Yeah, it is 4 am and I am, at least I think I am completely sober. Only had 2 beers over multiple hours and it was 2 hours ago when i finished my second beer. Anyways, gonna start biking home soon. Quite tired, want my own bed, which is 10 kms from here.

I hoped I'd get a sober party tonight, but no. Best mate is having sauna night. There is no way this could happen without a few beers. Anyways, today was the annual alumni basketball tournament. And for the second year in a row the school team, we won. Never happened before during the 39-year tradition of this tournament. Alumni have always taken theirs. But yeah, kinda happy.
  6. Oh god [bleep]ing damn it. I do not want a mass genocide. I just don't wat that too many people were born in the last century. And also, dafuq dudes?

Today was the senior prom. And as you might imagine, I am not totally sober. But, had fun. Dances with many girls. And the afterparty was mighty fine with us guys occupying a table and having a good time. But tomorrow is going to be tough...
  8. Think Estonia. I only know 3 TIFers from my whole freaking country. And none are OTers. Anyways, today was the senior prom. And I danced with multiple girls as I said I will do. But what was interesting was that you know that one girl who I now totally [bleep]ing hate and who is dead to me? She noticed that I ignored her.And I did ignore her totally. I also heard that she had always got what she wanted, never been rejected for anything. But tonight, before I left, she sat next to me and kissed me on the cheek and said don't hate me. While I ignored her. This was the first time she ever even remotely was thinking about me like that. Make your own presumptions, but she is still dead to me. Tl; dr a girl was never interested in me until I fully ignored her. Wow. Didn't think it works. And am not going to pursue anything.

And, as others have noted, US has no real federal laws about gun control like Panama has. I somewhat agree with your principles, Berenice, but in the US the problem is that obtaining a gun is way too easy.
  10. There was that Microsoft X division will unveil something. It might just be another GoW for 360 aswell. But I think it is 90% chance it is the new 'box.
  11. To start off, I'm gonna say something that I know will attract criticism, but I think it is true: get rid of about 5 billion people on this planet. Thereis way too much of us. And that would improve living conditions to practically everybody except thr uberrich. Cause when you think about it, that means more all natural resources per person. Other thing, I'd destroy absolutely every single firearm that is not used for sports or hunting and is in civilian use. Would get rid of a lot of trouble. Also control manufacturing of every single gun on this planet. But I know my thoughts are just an utopia.

Why have the state if you don't trust it? And the way I see it after long thinking is that there is a critical mass of circulating guns. When it is passed, everyone wants a gun and consequences aren't far behind. Situation is like that in the US. Since the felon has a gun, I need one too. When the critical mass of firearms has not been reached, than people are more in my point of thought. If the felon doesn't have a gun, why should I have one. For the felon to acquire one from me? No, I'd rather the people qualified to deal with criminals deal with them. And the felon himself doesn't need a gun for protection either. Everybody is happy, nobody gets shot.

You have had seriously way too much problems. But as for the cases 1 and 3, hand-to-hand fight would have been enough to at least put up some resistance until some sort of help arrives. Killing a grown resisting man with a machete or a baseball bat takes a LOT of skill or brute force. For the second case, I would have tried nothing and just let them get the stuff and leave, but atleast in here police is so capable that if I can provide accurate testimonies about their appearance and they have left any traces behind, they would be caught. It would cause me inconvenience, but on the other hand if there were less guns around overall there would be a much lesser chance of the robbers having guns. Overall the chances of an armed robbery are practically nonexistant in my country. We are a more or less welfare state and as such armed.robberies are very rare and such cases are always solved almost immediately.

Guns are such a lethal and dangerous items that I believe they should be completely controlled by the government. In honesty, if it was mine to do, I would ban all firearms altogether from civilian use. Seriously. I cannot imagine a situation where I would need one. There are always other ways. Only allowed would be certified hunting and sporting weapons. And they would have special requirements for storage and possession. Complete background checks to anyone who has access to them. But I know I will be in a minority here. And I know I am somewhat radical in my views and there is nothing you can say to change my mind.

Omar, why did you get Finland involved? And in there they had a school shooting just a few years back. Our media was talking about it for months. But I quite like the Panaman system. We have it somewhat similar here. And the main problem with you Americans is that you have no federal laws regarding firearms use. My classmate who was in the US for a year told me how he could just go to the local Wal-Mart and buy a gun if he had enough money. He was in a Southern state, but still I think some sort of a background check should be in place.

I just read through the whole Estonian gun law. It is pretty long, but it explains EVERYTHING. For example, to have a collection of guns one must obtain a permit to start collecting weapons from police. And one cannot collect anything that is not allowed for civilian use. Guns must be carried concealed and unloaded. Anyone that wants to get a real gun must be 21+ or must be through conscription. Anyone who wants to get a permit to get a gun must go through medical background check. Gun permit is only valid for 5 years after which it must be renewed. New background check, medical check, everything. And it is forbidden to own any kind of firearm whatsoever without a gun permit. And gun permits are valid for 1 per gun. Civilians cannot own more than 100 bullets of live ammunition at a time. A gun must be kept in a gun locker at all times when not being worn. There is one common registry for ALL civilian AND governmental firearms. Every single gun that spends more than 7 days in the country must be registered in there. We have never had a single school shootout and we have no shootouts of any kind really. Maybe once a year and then all the media is on back legs about restricting gun ownership even further. And frankly I don't know a single person who would like less regulations on guns.
  18. Not really. Had to google just to see who she was... But yeah, something about her that I don't like.
  19. Some bald chicks are insanely hot. Just my personal opinion. And only if the rest of the chick is hot aswell.

I was at a war basically with another girl like that for almost a year. Made up only in November. But I can be angry on someone and feel good about it for almost forever.
  21. Estonian dude replied to Leoo's topic in Off-Topic
I don't know why, but it makes me somehow good, feeling that I hate and disgust and wish all the worst things to someone. Only one person at a time though. And noone else needs to know about it. And I get along quite well with her friends aswell. We go to the same class and I get along with everybody, or well I did, not with her anymore. I think she doesn't even know that I despise her. We were something like friends before and even after the rejection itself, and I think she thinks we still are. Except the fact is that now everybody knows that I asked her out 3 times. And I just don't want to speak a single word with her. She is dead to me, as I said. She doesn't exist. [bleep], I am just rambling. I don't know how to best express myself.
  22. Please, could you use Prets instead of Saq? Saq is a place, Prets is my real nickname. Makes it much easier to me. And what if my final goal is not to just bang someone?
  23. Estonian dude replied to Leoo's topic in Off-Topic
I suppose I use this as a ranting place. Thing is, I am chill on the outside, but I am still completely [bleep]ing pissed about it. I burn inside, I don't show it and so I am seemingly chill all the time. I got made fun of with that thing. Today aswell. And I don't really know what precisely in her actions made me so angry, but add all the small things together and you get one hell of a pissed Prets. But, today, didn't have a single class and went on a quiz where in every team there was supposed to be 2 Estonians and 2 Russians. Our team shared 4-5 spot and we each got a 10 gift card as a prize. And I also met an awesome young Russian dude, who only moved to the capital 2 months ago and doesn't know anyone or anything. So me and my mate decided to keep in contact with and introduce city life to this young fellow. Hope to grow a mate out of him...

Oh god. You are missing the point. She screwed me over. She humiliated me. She acts like nothing [bleep]ing happened. She is deliberately messing with me, I don't know why. And I am not one to be made fun of, I am ultrasensitive about such things.

This dude is a junior and he would have come anyways. Everyone comes. But us seniors are expected to have a partner to dance the opening waltz with. And I am overreacting, but still if you'd know more about the situation... As I said, one of our common acquaintances when he heard about it asked why I hadn't taken revenge on it yet. I was thoroughly ridiculed by her...
