  1. Too late, my mind is made up! If I became a packers fan now anyway I'd basically just be a band-wagoner.
  2. Why :( Don't brainwash me, I'm new!
  3. Sorry guys, my bad - I deleted a couple posts that bumped it but everyone kept on posting. Locking seems to be the best choice now, as stated there is another more cent thread that could be bumped if you feel so inclined to open that can of worms.
  4. Sorry to butt in out of nowhere - but just because there are no library mods shouldn't prevent people from requesting access to the library. If you follow the procedure and pm an admin I'm sure they'll be glad to do that for you
  5. *high five*
  6. Lol Saru outa nowhere!
  7. Yup, looks like just more of the same. Pretty much all of this could be posted on the today/things that annoy the hell out of you/reveal confessions/rl h& a threads. Locking.
  8. Word out of anaheim this time around was that he was a great locker room presence and a very hard worker. Much more talented than conklin as well. So he HAS changed his attitude, then. As long as he doesn't change back, I guess he would be the better option. Looks like Chicago invited him to their camp hoping he can back up Crawford. Good move imo.
  9. Apologies for the 1.5 year bump, everyone. But I've decided I want to start following the NFL this season and so obviously need a thread on tif to discuss it. Any vikings fans here? (I've picked them to follow, seeing as Toronto doesn't have an NFL team :()
  10. I kind of feel like this is basically just a continuation of the today/rl h&a/things that annoy the hell out of you thread. If it ends up being more of that I'm going to lock it - we have enough of these types of thread. But let's see how it goes.
  11. Not really. Agreed. Even as a big fan of the books I found most of the movies mediocre.
  12. Because that's one of the great certainties of TIF OT: "Every serious thread will degrade into religion bashing or "does God exist" at some point". Anyway, let's stay on topic.
  13. Battle of Los Angeles It was ok, good action, decent plot, decent acting. Some of the stuff I found a little too heavy handed, like the emotional scenes...they felt somewhat forced. 5.5/10 127 Hours That was pretty good. I'd heard good things and had been meaning to watch it, glad I got around to it. Surprisingly intense given it's basically just a guy standing next to a rock for over an hour. 7.5/10
  14. That's not a bad thing. The stuff is awful for you.
  15. Can't see how being single has any effect on it - if anything that would make it easier since you wouldn't be accustomed to getting much anyway.
  16. At least we haven't forayed into "does God exist" yet lol.

  18. I can't say I ever found scar attractive but I always did think he was pretty badass.
  19. AAAAAAAAAAAND Another person thought no rubbers will be 100% safe. so far EVERY person I know of who thought just the pill will do has had a scare or ended up a parent. No contraception is completely safe, even rubbers can cause scares. This. In fact, you're far better off on just the pill and no condoms than you would be the other way around (if you take the pill properly that is).
  20. No discussion here so I'm locking.
  21. Pretty cool. I hope it actually turns out to be something of consequence.
  22. Well, it depends on what you mean by "Greater Israel", but I know a lot of people of various backgrounds who support Israel pretty much non-conditionally. I also didn't see anything antisemitic in that video, admittedly I only watched the first couple minutes.
  23. Indeed, he is correct. Furthermore, any attacks on Israeli soldiers are entirely legitimate, just as any Taliban attacks on NATO forces are legitimate, just as Libyan attacks on NATO forces are legitimate. Of course, being a pacifist myself I wouldn't attack those soldiers if I were a Palestinian; but I know not everyone subscribes to my call to non-violence. So terrorism by someone in your own country= unacceptable Terrorism by someone else= morally acceptable I said soldiers, specifically. It is not terrorism to attack soldiers. It is terrorism to attack and target innocent civilians, such as the settlers. Soldiers protecting the settlers are fair game. They are an occupying force, illegally. Every country, including the war mongering United States, agrees with this. Only the Religious Right, antisemitic Zionist Christians, people like this Norwegian terrorist, and the Likud Party are advocating for Greater Israel. You know, this would be a great post if it weren't for the ridiculous sweeping generalizations.
