  1. Or you could take the money you're spending on distributing condoms and put it directly into an educational system which guarantees improvement and doesn't sidestep the real issue.
  2. He has to get some goals. He's no Kessel or Versteeg but you can't be a first line center and not contribute offensively at all. I still think Kumelin should stick with Grabovski.
  3. That's insane :D

Yeah, they're definitely reds. I bought them 6 years ago though so I can't remember. 25 seems ok. Even so, with shipping it's a waste of money.
  5. This post shows your extremely poor grasp of the situation and societal norms in third world countries. Distributing condoms has limited effect for two reasons. Firstly, because rape is rampant. Condoms won't help here. Secondly, because for many, the driving force for having sex so much is to have kids. These people often feel that their only hope for survival and old age is to have many children, in the hope that one of them will become rich and provide for them. Of course, this doesn't really work, but it limits the effectiveness of condoms.
  6. Tell her you don't want to see your ex ;)

From canada to the UK, on a 1lb package? I'll check. $65 CAD - about 65 USD. The bearings themselves aren't worth more than 50 if my memory serves me correctly.
  8. Opposing the distribution of condoms makes you an accessory to genocide? Well then so does supporting abortion.
  9. Another chance for what? Decide what you want: Would you rather lose a friend, or lose the chance to get laid by some girl who seems like a pain anyways? 90% of the time she isn't a pain.. but yes a friend or her. She has already made her choice which will lose her her current boyfriend and a few friends. It does seem that my hands are tied. If she has a current boyfriend, there's your answer. Get the hell outa there. Why? Three reasons. 1) Because you'd be an accessory to helping her cheat - which is a douche move no matter the circumstances. 2) Because you'd lose the friendship with her ex. 3) Because if you got involved, you might start having feelings for her, which would be bad, since she's already proven she'd just screw you over.
  10. I'd move MacArthur up still. But Kumelin isn't really better than Bozak...
  11. Nice win FF :)
  12. That's awesome :D Pity I can't really do anything in that vein :(
  13. As this "fight" was actually an AC I'm locking the topic. Any questions/concerns, throw me a pm.
  14. As said before, if you want the topic closed, post the other side, and we'll look at it ;)
  15. Leafs lost again :( Bad point production past two games, still we'll see how they do against the flyers. They really need a good first line center, bozak is second line at best. Also versteeg should go second line and macarthur first so they aren't working with three right shots on their first line.
  16. Keep it on topic please ;)

If he's "quite smart", perhaps he's found something about fundamentalist Christianity that appeals to him on an intellectual level? ;)
  18. I saw this the other day, made me laugh: The reason people download in the first place (or at least part of it) is because modern music frankly is barely worth paying for :(
  19. Yeah I'm going to want some proof on that one. So many democrats still angry that Gore didn't win. Whether or not the supreme court should have intervened is one thing, but going as far as to say Bush swayed the vote with no evidence is pretty silly. However, we're really getting quite off topic here so let's stick to the homosexuality discussions, eh? If someone wants to make a judicial influence thread though that would be cool :P
  20. It depends what your personal preference is; some people are more private than others.
  21. Well that's the first time I've heard that :? I hope you're joking. (at the Bush not elected bit, not after that)
  22. No third party posts please. A member of VR or RSD is more than welcome to repost, and I'll gladly merge the replies  Locked.
  23. They don't change laws, they interpret the laws. In this case, DADT has absolutely no legal standing in the face of the Constitution. Same goes for DOMA. Same goes for gay marriage in general. However, what strikes me as hilarious about this sort of thing is that the people yelling about "activist judges" are also the ones who support repealing the 17th amendment. The 17th amendment took away the state legislatures' ability to appoint Senators and instead gave that power to the people. This was done because it took less money to buy a state legislature than it did to buy the Senator herself/himself. So for most of the country's history, Senators have never been elected, yet they wrote laws. Whenever "judicial activism" is ever brought up, it's always with regard to civil rights/liberties; segregation, privacy rights, etc. Voting on peoples' civil rights isn't something I've ever been a fan of ;) Perhaps that's the case in the states, I can tell you that in Canada laws are actually struck down, completely voided. In this case as well, they voided an existing law(note, I think the law is stupid). It doesn't matter whether it has legal standing in the constitution or not, it should be elected officials making changes, not those who are appointed.

Depends what sport. Highest paid hockey player in NA is Vincent Lecavalier, making $10 million/year. Highest paid football player in NA is Peyton Manning, making $15.8 million/year. Highest paid basketball player in NA is Tracy McGrady, making $23.3 million/year. Highest paid baseball player in NA is Alex Rodriguez, making $33 million/year. As you can see, it varies quite a bit from sport to sport. (2009 values)
