  1. You know as well as anyone that it's not easy to disregard hundreds of thousands of years of biological programming.

scumbag school. Gives you free laptop. must use windows 8. I wish it was free.... @bonez i'll definitely look into that, i'm having a really tough time getting past the Metro interface. it's not worth messing around with the laptop to try and downgrade, so that may be a good balance. You could also look into window 8.1 which should be out fairly soon. Apparently it makes it easier to bypass the metro interface (you have the old start button for instance)
  3. I think it's opening yourself up to others in general which can be embarrassing.

  5. trying it now, looks interesting edit: having tried it a bit more, it's fun, but it doesn't seem much like an MMO
  6. Bad week to be a new jersey fan boys. Best player retires and they have to forfeit their first round pick next year.
  7. Is it even possible to screw 15 people in one week? That sounds like wayy more trouble than it's worth
  8. Dunno if anyone will get the reference but I thought of this while reading this last conversation: (couldn't find an english image)
  9. I alreeady graduated from college and have a good job lol. But i regret slacking nonetheless
  10. it's possible to regret something without being a little [bleep]. I regret not trying harder in high school, for instance; but I've moved on, and learned my lesson. But I certainly do regret and, and given another chance I would do things differently.
  11. yeah sure is great telling the grandkids about the time you made your underage gf get an abortion edit: that's not directed at anyone. just an example of something which could result from a rushed decision
  12. Watched The Last Stand. It was awful, even for Arnold. 3/10

  15. what does the "N" in your member title stand for again?
  16. What makes you say that? I can't really think of how it could be considered rational from that perspective GirlWritesWhat had a video where she explained it pretty well. Unfortunately with her I can never remember what video it actually was. The gist of it was (if I remember correctly) that women are biologically more choosy when it comes to mates, because they bear greater biological risk when reproducing. As a result if she "gets around" she's more likely to become pregnant more often, and populate a community with many kids who may not be well cared for, etc. Once again this is all from an evolutionary context. It doesn't apply so much in modern society. This video explains it a lot more as well:

All thanks to the CCCP! The communist communist communist party :P
  18. When you look at it from the context of evolutionary biology, slut shaming is not entirely irrational. I'm not suggesting it's acceptable, not in this day and age. But it's not completely irrational either.
  19. Yeah, that status definitely had a lot of hate in it. But there was a fundamental good point there; which was that people perceive you based on the way you act; and it's irrational to act one way and suddenly expect people to act as though you're someone else.
  20. Isn't she old enough to be on the cover of regular Vogue by now? I want to read about her secrets for pleasing her man...or is that Cosmo? I'm always getting women's fashion/lifestyle magazines mixed up. And what is with that hairstyle? I've been seeing it (or something similar) a lot lately. Who convinced these women that making their heads look like giant rectangles was sexy? :? dat rectangle
  21. Dat irrational slut shaming. Is it entirely irrational to think that someone looking for a serious committed relationship might balk at someone who is clearly not used to long-term monogamy?
