For a while my prestige level was on par with my level completed. Then around floor 15 it dropped to 0 despite still saying "Prestige: 15". Currently I am level 32, 214 xp till 33. Prestige currently says "Prestige 16: 0." I've tried starting from floor 1 but it says the same thing. What am I doing wrong and how do I get my prestige up again? It's aweful halving my xp earned. :mellow:

First example doesn't make sense. Damage is calculated right before your character's attack animation plays, not as the hitsplat apears, as you seem to be thinking. Second example could be dealt with any manner of ways, the easiest being random selection. Content > graphics, so I do not support the idea. However it does actually seem like something that Jagex would impliment, as they obviously do care about graphics.

Runescape didn't do a damn thing wrong. If you chose to play rs over other things, it's, well, your choice. You're like the kind of people that blame fast food chains for "making them fat" when the problem is them not applying any self control and overeating. Blaming Runescape for causing your problems is just you trying to shift the blame from yourself.

What interests me most is what is the best shield for Armadyl. Previously the best for solo was Devine and for duo+ Elysian was the best. To recap: Chaotic kiteshield has 0 range attack, 83 stab defence, -5 magic defence, 0 prayer, and reduces melee damage by 10% on hits of 200+ LP. Eagle-eye kiteshield has +4 range attack, 50 stab defence, +25 magic defence, 0 prayer, and reduces mage damage by 20% on hits of 200+ LP. Farseer kiteshield has -15 range attack, 55 stab defence, +5 magic defence, 0 prayer, and reduces magic damage by 10% and melee damage by 20% on hits of 200+ LP. A fully charged shield lasts for a maximum of 10 hours of combat; reducing damage will drain it faster. Costs 2m to recharge, giving them a cost of use of over 200k per hour. Out of the 3 new shields Eagle-eye is of course the best. With -15 range attack Farseer is out instantly. Not only do you take more damage from mage than melee but Eagle-eye has +4 range attack and double the damage reduction, so it wins over Chaotic. That leaves these 3: Devine has 0 range attack, 63 stab defence, 2 magic defence, 3 prayer, and a 30% damage reduction. Half of the damage reduced (15% of all damage taken) is reduced from your prayer. Elysian has 0 range attack, 63 stab defence, 2 magic defence, 3 prayer, and a 70% chance of reducing damage by 25%. Basically it has a 17.5% damage reduction. Eagle-eye kiteshield has +4 range attack, 50 stab defence, +25 magic defence, 0 prayer, and reduces mage damage by 20% on hits of 200+ LP. So what's better? While Eagle-eye has a loss of -13 stab defence and -2 prayer it gains a more signifigant +23 magic defence and +4 range attack. So statwise Eagle-eye wins. However the damage reduction is much worse. Kree's magic attack only has a max of 190, meaning it will never be effected. It also has no effect on Flight (melee minion's) damage. This means that Eagle-eye only reduces 20% of the damage from Wingman (magic minion's) on hits of 200-250 (max hit). Combined with its heafty recharge cost, Devine and Elysian are still the best by far.

If you plan to do slayer soul split is indispencible. With the exception of KBD, QK, and miths, I use no alternative healing. That's no food, no healing familiars, no ee/sgs, nothing. And since soulsplit is so easy to flash it uses almost no prayer. Of course with your lower melees you'd get less healing, but it'll be a huge help regardless. I'd say your priorities should be: 1) 92 prayer 2) 89 herblore, or 90 if you like. Extreme defs aren't worth using on most tasks though. 3) 95 prayer, turmoil is a nice boost. Personally I use it on all my tasks 4) 92+ herblore for making overlaods. Quite expencive to use at ~80k per 3 dose potion and each dose only lasts 5 minutes, not worth using on many slayer tasks.

Prayer without a doubt.

If you want one, yes. However AGS's are over rated. The best use of them is lending. Claws are better in any situation I can think of with the exception of pking in which I have no experience. As a player with 99 prayer I have absolutely no use for a SGS.

Calling it a skill is a mistake. It doesn't fit in with any of the other skills, and as you said, is restricted to a small area. It doesn't use the same 1-99 system as other skills; why Jagex would release this skill's cap at 120 yet go out of their way to avoid increasing hp I don't now. It's a minigame, a big one yes,but a minigame none the less.

Void range > dragonhide Ranging amulet > fury = glory Archer ring (i) > archer ring > no item Ranger boots > snakeskin boots Avas accumulator > no item As for the weapon, bronze knives or broad bolts with a rune crossbow, not sure which is better.

Fury and onyx (i) are the best items for a veriety of places, it makes sense for them to be expensive and/or difficult to obtain.

I do not pick up gold or greens. I will have enough charms for 99 summoning using only crims and blues through 99 slayer so there is no point in cramping my inventory while getting slow xp or poor xp/gp.

I used to use void range at aviansies and melee for training.

I used to use a sgs for slayer, now I use claws. If I need healing I just flash soulsplit. The prayer saved isn't much especially since my usual slayer set up has 29 prayer bonus (sw cape + fury + pros top + v skirt). The only tasks I use food on is kalphite queen, kbd, and miths. I also only use protection prayer on those, with the addidtion of ct dags.
