Slayer is a skill, and most people want to train as fast as possible, and melee is faster for most tasks, so people melee.

I bought a zgs for castlewars and I love it :thumbup: since castlewars is what I do for fun, it's the best for me.

As stated, do spiders in the SoS, then do Defender of Varrock and kill Armoured Zombies with a salve amulet (e). Slayer is terrible xp, but I would get it to 55 for broad bolts. Training it beyond that is pointless unless you want to do a quest that needs it.

That formula is all speculation. There are many variables that could effect a hit, and guessing wich ones do what doesn't prove anything. Bandos doesn't effect accuracy, so using it instead of Torag's is a massive bias. Dragon gauntlets have better melee defence than barrow gloves. You also might want to add you're not counting pvp armour, or weapons that provide defence.

I miss the excitment of watching that bar go to red, watching that body keel over, and the scramble for the items... but it had to be done.

Really? That'll save me some time meleeing. Would getting 85-99 mage then starting meleeing fiends at 90 melees be a better idea? It wont be untrimmd, since I'm getting 99 range first (97 right now). I'd just hate to get a stat to 99, then have to train it further for more charms.

If I burst rock lobsters from 80-99 mage and melee waterfiends from 85-99 attack, strength, and defence would i get the charms for 59-99 summoning? I'd be using a zamorakian spear at the fiends and I'll have access to the best gear excluding 3a. If the answer is no, around how many more charms would I need?

People do buy shards in mass, but you'll have to take lots of junk; you'll be competing with offers like 16gp + junk per shard. Another option is keeping the pouches themselves as junk. The minimum price of a familiar is the cost of the (shards used*25)+cost of second, so you'll almost break even (you'll only lose the cost of the pouch). Buying a godsword to lend out is a good way to get rid of junk.

Firing the cannon doesn't lose anyone points. It speeds up waves, giving you quicker points. Why wouldn't that "be worth it"? Why? Barrows degrades at the same rate in every combat situation, in every minigame in runescape, even in ones with no/useless rewards like castle or clan wars. You haven't even presented an argument here. Barrow armour has great stats and nice effects, but it costs money to use it. There isn't even a reason to wear it in ba; anyone with the 70 def required to use it wont be getting hit enough to bother. Also keep in mind the team gets more points the more is healed, so taking damage, to an extent, is a good thing. If the spells have no effects, and you can't use the higher levels spells why bother using ancients. The attack styles are crowded enough as is.

Well I don't take an interest in sports, but I generally assume that having a higher score is better? Unless there has been some big shake-ups in the rules of basketball, the goal of the game is to score and not be score upon. It would have been far more humiliating for the losing team if the opposing team spent the entire second half passing the ball around. Firing the coach for not babying the other team is not the way to go. If someone needs to lose their job it's whomever set up this match.

Collector is a massive help on waves 1-9. Standing at the cannon and clicking 4 times is far easier and faster for the defender than using the traps. With a speedy collector, there is no reason any runners should get past. I agree that making the traps break is too much for a low-leveled deffender; in the time it takes to run to get a hammer and logs a runner can get past. Of course, this is where those nice red eggs come in. Barrows degrades just like it does in any other combat situation... not sure what you're on about here. Ancient magics in not elemental, so it obviously can't be used. Blood barrage with free runes? No need for a healer. Ice barrage? Runner's don't stand a chance. I question if you put a second of thought into that idea. Not all rewards have to be useful. Some people, like me, play for fun.

Like 3a for example, ge the kite is something around ~60m, but street its around ~100m So the seller would put up the kite, 60m, and 40m of random useless junk items The buyer would pay 100m for everything, so the seller gets 100m instead of just the 60 from the ge price of the shield. Say 3a kites crash, and now have a street price of 20m. Now the seller would have to trade the shield for 20m and 40m in junk. It's what happened to phats. Junk can be used either way.

Stay up for 24 hours refreshing the GE every minute with your character's name and password pre typed and standing at the ge with money to buy at max. Log in a put in an offer at max when the GE updates the prices. I gaurentee you'll get a pair.

If you plan on slaying, then get a Saradomin godsword. SS has the same slash, strength, and speed as a whip, but is 2 handed to no defender. Know before you post. He means that Zgs's are used at Saradomin god wars dungeon. The shield is good at dragons, and that's about it. Current armour had plently of defence, and healing isn't an issue especially with a Sgs. Saradomin sword is good for strength training, and nothing else. Yep. 19 slash > 2 strength. Barrows gives plenty of defence. Why the hell would anyone use rune if they can wear better?

104 combat, 96 range, and 3 skills still at 1 =D>. I'd still have 1 rc but I wanted to get skulled for a painted rune kite, and since the wild wasn't pvp, I had to do the abyss miniquest, which got me to 9... Anyway, with combat there is always the risk of dying, which makes it far more exciting for me. Click a tree, click a tree, click a tree, bank... blech. If you want to skill, do it on your main; a level 3 skiller isn't good for much. I find it ironic that people think that high combat with low noncombat skills makes you a "noob" but low combat with high noncombat skills makes you awsome. Some skills, like cooking and firemaking, are simply useless for me to train, so I only do it for quests.

It all sounds nice in text, but I can gaurentee you Jagex picks its CEO's in a gladiator-like deathmatch in an arena under the secret Jagex castle. They fight in full rune, for the 3 Gower's amusment.

Runescape has bad graphics; if you are trying to make something decorative, they shouldn't be used in a siganture. I think it would look better with a simpler gradient.
