slayer.. whens the money get better?
Your joking right? Slayer not only allows you to access some of the best item dropping (non-boss) monsters, but its also a much more fun way of training combat in general. Ignorance is bliss? Get it to 55 for broads and slayer dart.

What's with the asskissing?
I've been getting lots of compliments on my Armadyl chestplate at aviansies lately, I always reply with a generic "ty." I suppose they're just trying to be nice, but it's annoying.

Barbarian Assault: Collector Levels
I've got all the BA items, and am a master in all rolls, and I've never had too big of a problem with too many eggs. A good collector well fill the cannon as soon as he has 6 red eggs, so the defender can just shoot the initial burst of runners with red eggs (2 per kill). Of course, for the runners to die, there needs to be few penance healers around, so you need a quick acting healer. If you have a well trained, functioning team, lack of egg space shouldn't be a problem (unless you get unlucky and don't get much red egg calls). Unfortunately, the majority of BA players are terrible, and believe that shooting the cannon loses points. I think that the collector roll needs a better reward for leveling up; better egg effects for example (more damage for reds [or even splash damage!], more poision damage for greens, and longer snares for blues).

Armadyl or Bandos
"What is better, rocks or applesauce?" Bandos and armadyl are for different skills, and different situations. Obviously, if you are being ranged or meleed, and you are meleeing, you want bandos. If you are ranging, or being maged (and not worried about arma's slight attack penalties) you want Armadyl. Or better yet, hybrid, and use an Armadyl chestplate with bandos tassets.

Because everything is more effecient in members, there isn't a point in delaying it, unless that $5 is worth hours of slower training a month to you.- is Zamorak Sword good for waterfiends?
Not meaning to hijack your thread, but I've seen this statement repeated in various forms over and over. can someone PLEASE explain to me how this is true? Let's take the levels of 80 to 90 in consideration, not even going as far as to max out... The rate at which you gain experience is entirely dependent on the damge that you deal, correct? Also, damage dealt is affected by your attack and strength levels with no direct input from defense, correct? If the two previous statements are indeed correct, then how is it possible that you would get the expereince from 80 to 90 in all 3 melee skills faster while training controlled than you would if you were to train attack and strength to 90 initially with a whip and sara sword using their respective focused options? Using the focused methods seperately, you would reach your maximum potential to recieve experience(90 attack and strength) faster than you would reach your maximum potential with controlled training(and then you would not be trainign at maximum speed at all what with already being done). If you train in the order of attack, then strength, and then defense. Then the time that it took to finish your defense trainign would be shorter than the time which it took to finish your strength trainign which in turn would be shorter than the time which it took to finish your attack trainign because with focused training each step aids the next. Based on all that stuff tha I just spewed, I see no way that a whip on controlled is faster than a whip on focused attack, sara sword on focused strength, and then whip again on focused defense. The lower rate of experience gain from the lack of a defender is not great enough to cause enough of a slow down, and since you trained attack already, you have 10 more levels to make up for that loss of 20 accuracy bonus. Also, I'd assume that someone with 90 attack and strength using a dragon scimitar would deal damage much more quickly than someone with 80 attack and strength using a whip, do to the fact that I think that levels carry far more weight than equipment bonuses. That statement however, has no proof or evidence whatsoever and is merely my opinion. So please, please explain to me how - You'll be gaining strength and attack levels (along with defence) so you well be hitting both higher and more accuracy, even if the levels are farther between - Assuming you use a saradomin sword for strength training, using a whip and a rune defender gives you a +5 str and +19 slash advantage for strenth training. - Defence is a skill that has many uses, so levelling it along with other stats just makes sense to me. I think if you had even 70's, and you went for 99 atk, then 99 str, then defence, then you would be better off training selectively. However, if you planned on training to 80 atk, then str, then def, then 90s, then finally 99's, I believe you would be better off using a whip on controlled. Also, not many people grind out 70-99's without pause; because defence has so many uses, I think it's simply better to stay equal. That last point is of course just opinion. Without xp rates neither of our arguments have much say though. OT: The only godsword I could forsee being worth taking is a Sgs for the special; other then that you'd be better off with a Zamorakian spear.- Dragon Halberd in the Fight caves

Fine, I'll repeat everything I just said. You stated that he should give his followers weapons to uphold the balance. Whether Guthix wants followers or not, if he gives away shiny new weapons, people would accept his ways simply to gain access to them, thus powerful weapons=attracting followers=unwanted. Why not? He would have to wake up to empower said weapons anyway. He's given immortality, or other power, to very few beings, and those are LIVING THINGS not items. I understand that you meant for Guthix to be the army, and for his followers to be the Police. It's just a terrible analogy. Guthix doesn't need to have powerful followers because there is balance. If there isn't balance, he wakes up and makes sure there is. End of story. Now you're way off topic, still trying to compare a fictional RPG to an emergency situation, on a tangent of hypothetical nonsense. Police (Guthix's followers) are lightly armed. For squabbles, the police (Guthix's followers) are used to settle them. Say an average officer has a handgun, a tazer, and a baton. If there is a serious problem involving hostages, or high-powered weaponry (no longer balance, one god is too powerful), say a SWAT team (Guthix wakes) is called in. This SWAT team has automatic weapons and high-calibre rifles (Guthix's magic powers). The dispute is then settled (balance is restored). Said SWAT team (Guthix) wouldnt give there weapons to the police department (Guthixs followers) , because they do not need them. As stated, Fiara was given her power ages ago, before he went to sleep. Why would he become active just to bless some weapons when he could deal with the problem at hand himself? I'm going to stop replying to you like this, because you've just fed me back the same illogical arguments, to which I've given you the same response, and it's starting to spam this thread. (Also, I'm going bed).- Yew log prices
eucalyptus are more efficient to burn though Plus you get the satisfaction of starving koala bears.- For the love of Guthix?
Actually, thats exactly what you said. If you give his current followers powerful weapons, obviously it is going to attract more members, whether or not he wants them. -- Once again, he is sleeping because there is balance. If there is not balance, he wakes up, and makes sure there is. You say that he should give mortals powerful weapons to keep the balance, so he doesn't have to wake up. He doesn't need followers, and obviously doesn't want to lend them his power. -- What a terrible comparison. These are fictional characters in an rpg. Not a real life emergency situation. Beyond that, it doesn't even make sense. The army does not have god powers. The police are not designed to keep apart magical forces. Your analogy fails. -- Her name, I believe, is Fiara. She is a shapeshifter who was given immortality to protect the power in the FOG arena, which is residue of the Stone of Jas, because saradomin followers were trying to harvest it (hence the saradomin symbols on the pillars lining the arena). She was imbued BEFORE Guthix went to sleep, ages ago, to protect the balance. She is a living thing, not an item to be weilded.- Need advice on what to do with my 3rd Age Amulet.
I really don't see this doomsday 3a crash happening. 3a (especially 'the best' items, such as the mage hat and amulet) are expencive because they are rare and useful, unlike items like animal masks, which were expencive just for the sake of it.- Money/Training
If you don't have a salve amulet(e) get one. Ankous are a good balance for xp and money at your level, but they get crowded; avoid killing them on fridays nights and weekends, the spawn-fighting makes the xp too low to be worth it (try fishing sharks or something). If you want to invest in it, Guthan's is extremely useful; getting 70-80 atk str def there I saved up (from the drops) untill I could buy it. It lets you bury the bones for prayer xp, lets you bring potions, and frees up your inventory for jems and herbs.- Spirit Shields
Assuming this post is genuine (which I doubt), if they are worth it depends on what you have. Do you have 90+ mage and range? 70 prayer? All skills to quest-required levels? Is there a useful 99 you've been wanting? Prioritizing is important, and remember, skills are better than luxury items. Also, with that spelling, you're just going to get mocked.
