Literature
Reading The Day of the Triffids by John Wyndham. It's a fairly good book, although not quite as dark as I would've expected from where the story takes place. Interestingly, it could just as easily take place in the modern day, if not for the prominence of cigarettes.

Do animals have morals?
Animals cannot have morals any more than they can have cities: they are both entirely human constructs. There is no all-knowing-pumpkin-in-the-sky who has created of a code of morality which all humans magically posses. Having declared my position as a nihilist, I now withdraw from this conversation.

Scientology? Scam? Cult? Religion? Joke?
I fail to understand the distinction between cult and religion. Blind obedience to a code of dogmatic belief that has been presented to, supposedly, by a higher power or prophet... at which point they start asking for money.

Does anyone else think about this?
I know that was probably a quote or something but I couldn't agree with you more. I hate elitism because it's making my life really easy and fun but at the same time I despise myself for reaping in all the benefits of being part of them. In acadamia, atleast (and the good looking persons club). Then I look at my friends who are just as smart as me but were born in a different part of town, with poorer parents, and they're stuck with [cabbage]ty lives and my heart sinks. I think you're on the right path for the future though. Any teenager with even a little bit of foresight will realize that working hard will lead to more open doors in the future, yet so many fail to realize this. You're also setting yourself to get beaten up by those same kids for acting like you're higher than them, so avoid letting anyone know your exam grades or any of your accomplishments. It's worked for me  Not a quote unless it's something buried deep within my subconscious. I feel the same way: my high standard of living is assured by my parent's position near the top of the status quo pyramid. It renders any personal victory depressing, as I am forced to question whether or not it was actually something that I earned, or something that I was fortunate enough to be given. You have to work to keep the status. It's far easier for me to maintain my current standard of living than it is for anyone else to earn it. That attitude may be why I have developed some dissident opinions about the value of a person from the perspective of society.

Things that annoy the HELL out of you.
If that's trolling; GTFO. If not, you might want to see a doctor, or more likely, a psychologist.

Earth-Sized planet in Habitable Zone
I agree with Will. If we're going to look for other life, then looking for planets with water is a good way to start.

The HIGH Road
I support legalization of marijuana, but I have to say that I prefer my state of mind the way it is. If I ever feel the need, I would consider it acceptable, but as I don't, I really don't see the motivation.

Gun Control
And in a world without swimming pools toddlers will still drown. What's your point?

Scientology? Scam? Cult? Religion? Joke?
And I'm saying I'm indifferent to the truth of this topic. Morality doesn't factor in to not wanting to form an opinion without facts. Also, pretty sure you are human. Yes. I'm not quite clear on what your point is. And yes, morality is factored into every decision that a human being makes. It''s a symptom of our humanity: we can temper it with logic, it can be coloured by our experiences, but in the end we will all develop a sense of morality.

Favorite thing about the opposite sex?
Physically, hair. And butt. And the rest of them. No idea what I find attractive in a girl other than that.

Earth-Sized planet in Habitable Zone
They've been predicting life on other planets ever since people realized that they were out there. It would be interesting to see what the theists would say if we did find life on another planet.

Scientology? Scam? Cult? Religion? Joke?
The truth is impartial. Morality is a human construct.

Blu-Ray and you
I've never found the increase in quality enough to justify the increased expense. I've got a PS3, but I've never bothered buying a Blu-Ray movie.

Vegetarianism
As long as you're working out seriously, you can take take up to a gram per pound of body weight, but there is a cap, although I can't remember it.

Gun Control
And yet I'm assuming that everyone here supports the continued criminalization of marijuana. The idea of a black market being formed didn't slow people there. Why should that influence gun control? After all, we live in a perfect world, where when a big bad scary burglar breaks into you house, you shoot him, and we all go on living happily every after. After all, we can just forget about the school shootings, the rape, drug killings, drive-by shootings, and the death of innocents by the hand of someone too stupid, drunk or careless to deserve ownership of a firearm.
