The Evpatoria Report - Tajin Kyofusho Tears.

Bulls*** elitism is the worst kind. That's where people unironically pretend to hate things and look down on others to seem cool. Most elitists would just say that something sucks and what they like is better, but these guys take it to a whole new level. Usually done in the indie scene to boost one's hipster cred. I used to be one of these and it was a bad time in my life. Thank God it only exists online.

There is, you know, a long-forgotten thing known as the volume control.

This pretty much sums up my view. In my area, the Greens have quite a bit of support (it's currently a Liberal Democrat seat) and if I were old enough to vote, I would definitely be voting for them locally. I also take quite a liking to their policies outside of the green stuff, too. I was also impressed by Clegg; I've never really been and probably never will be an avid supporter of any political party here, but if I were eligible to vote this time, it would definitely be for the Liberal Democrats after seeing that performance. I do not want to see a manchild like David Cameron running this country; we've had enough of those. The Conservative campaign boards are a case in point - it's just plain insulting, and it certainly does not turn me towards voting for them at all. Honestly, I think a small handful of the Conservatives' polices are good, but seriously? Him in charge? Wake up. I'm going to be controversial and say that in actual fact, there is not a huge fundamental difference between the three major parties here in the UK. All of them supported the Digital Economy Bill for a start - which in itself is a worry: the last thing we need is another oppressive government. I think we, as people, deserve to be free to do what we wish behind closed doors. I think the surveillance and "banning of things the 'general populace' finds disgusting" is going too far; personally, if people want to watch so-called "abhorrent" pornography or play so-called "violent and societally dangerous" video games, then let them do it. It takes a lot to disgust me, therefore, am I not a member of this "general populace?" Or is it just another backwards statistic made up just so they can scare us into letting them oppress us for evermore? I apologise for going off on a tangent; I'm starting to believe that the glimmer of hope we need is in the Liberal Democrats - it will take a while for things to change, and I think people should realise that things are never going to be perfect despite whoever is in power.

As much as I love DT I'd say there are bands with better lyrics. No question. If you want good metal lyrics, you have to look less towards flowers and castles and more towards the apocalypse; check out My Dying Bride, Lord Vicar, Solefald, Warning (UK) and sludge metal bands such as Neurosis, Callisto, Cult of Luna and Mouth of the Architect.

I feel disgusting if I brush any less than twice a day.

Clannad would like to have a word with you. Clannad suffers from the big problem that all VN -> anime adaptations do; I would be watching a few episodes and waiting for the tentative build-up, then it happens and it's all over in one episode. I used to think it was amazing in 2008, but I gradually started discovering anime that I liked better. The comic relief made (the first season of) Clannad more bearable, at least. After Story is pretty good, though; until the ending. That was pretty horrendous. This reeks of hypocrisy, because anyone who was around in 2008 would probably remember my Clannad avatars/signatures. However, I'm not hating; those kinds of stories appeal to different people. I can't say I've watched anything which is particularly of the sad and/or melancholic ilk for quite some time; I'm much more into those "a happy life" sorts of stories, when it comes to anime. I tend to find stuff like Clannad rather overblown and even downright cheesy in places; honestly, I believe that sort of thing works better in live-action drama form.

Nitro Mega Prayer - The Sun Is Also Protecting Us Today Once you get used to the oestrogen-fuelled screams, this band is rock solid. I can't actually imagine it with different vocals; they fit absolutely perfectly, really.

K-ON! is pretty generic and middle-of-the-road, but it manages to be a good laugh regardless. I think it is the best thing that Kyoto Animation has ever produced by quite some way.

It's good to see another Hayate fan here. Apart from myself (and I think Jaziek), I don't think anyone has ever mentioned it here. A fantastic series. Oh, and Seitokai was totally worth it for Mafuyu. I finished Kannagi last night (this morning); I thought it was great. Good fun and not over-the-top; can't say much else about it without spoiling.

One of the things that I loved about Higurashi is how much Keiichi's manliness level increases over the course of the series. He goes from being a wuss to being pretty manly and awesome. I'm going to watch this later. I've had a few beers, could be awesome.

No Age - Teen Creeps Nowhere near as bad as I remember; quite a good album, actually.

As long as there is no Endless Eight I'm fine with a Haruhi clone. I'm down with this. It really does seem pretty good in its own right, too. Really, the only similarities this has with Haruhi is the leader girl and the entire group. Haruhi is about keeping an insane girl happy so she doesn't destroy the world and Angel Beats is about surviving in the afterlife because they don't want to take the chance of reincarnating into a barnacle.. And the whole supernatural thing. That's pretty like Haruhi, but yes. These are semantics, anyway. I watched K-ON!! as well. It's more of the same, but who says that's a bad thing? I'm going to watch Arakawa Under the Bridge later too, and Kaichou wa Maid-sama! (because it looks cute). I've also finally started watching Kimi ni Todoke; five episodes in so far, and it's pretty good. I've also got hold of Kannagi (slowpoke) and I'll watch some soon, in the next week or so.

Angel Beats is Haruhi, version two. It's also a lot better.

Definitely listen to what you're buying first if you can. It's really a subjective thing because everyone has different hearing. I've tried some high-end headphones that have sounded dull to me, amped or not (Senn HD650 and AKG K701, namely) but I had a pair of £20 Philips headphones that sounded really tight and full. They could've just been a good set, but I would really advise listening first. I think I'm going to get some Audio-Technica ATH-AD700s when I have the money to spare. I tried them out and they really do live up to the hype. Seriously good for £110.

Twitter isn't all that bad. It's overhyped, but it is useful if you like real-time updates on things you're interested in. Also, OT has taught me nothing at all.

I don't think they are inherently horrible, but their way of having fun has transferred to other groups with gg members that just can't pull off the same stupid [cabbage] as well as the original can. Fansub groups have never been really good; we kind of hit a golden age a while ago, but I think things are starting to slip downhill again. Awkward translation has always been a problem, but at least we are doing better than a few years ago.

Happens quite often here. It doesn't mean it is right, it just shows us how horribly put together our legal system is. -
You need a card that has two inputs. Generally, you can't use onboard and an expansion card at the same time.
