  1. Beats playing vidya anyday. I'm trying to curtail that habit.

    Damn TIF message system.

  2. ASDA or Tesco eh. That would be a nightmare if you're not a social person. I actually applied for a job at ASDA twice - first time they were full, got rejected the second time because I wasn't "friendly enough" or whatever. Ended up not applying for that other job because I was worried about the same thing happening again. And yeah, there's not much like watching anime. Beat...

    Vinyl

A lot of obscure stuff sounds better on vinyl because analogue recordings are still commonplace in such circles as drone, noise and sometimes post-rock. Vinyl rips are silly though. You get people who rip in 24-bit 96kHz analogue and even with the proper equipment, the difference is really negligable at best. The only difference is usually pops and clicks, which for the record don't improve the experience in the slightest.

  10. As cheesy as his solo stuff was... he was definitely one of the best vocalists in metal, no question. He had such a recognisable, powerful, charismatic voice that just about anyone (into metal or not) loved. He was also a brilliant entertainer, and not to mention he popularised the horns. He will be missed. Here's to some good new talent coming along, too.

Oh? Made by who? These. They are incredible and are perfect if you want some starter audiophile cans. People who can't tell the difference are deaf. Between cheap stuff and these, it's like night and day.

    Hip Hop & Rap

400 is my favourite Shing02 album; loved it instantly the moment I heard it as well. I listened to Michita's "Three" yesterday and it's some really good stuff as well. I don't know; I think hip-hop is something Japan does particularly well along with indie rock and ambient. Also, I like how we're all talking about completely different sorts of hip-hop in here.

I agree, I wish I knew Polish or something though, Polish hip hop sounds amazing. Poland and Finland have my two favourite European hip-hop scenes. Some of it is really cheesy, but it's all good. UK hip-hop really fell down when grime became popular. It was never anything incredible, but grime killed the entire scene. Japan has a lot of good stuff but the best stuff is instrumental if that doesn't bother you at all. [bleep] yeah Nomak. You like michita? I've yet to give Michita a listen. Silly of me because I like other stuff such as Shin-Ski and Shing02 as well as Nomak and Nujabes. I'll check it out later.
