  1. I hate Norwegain metal apart from a few. Finalnd shouldn't even be grouped together with Sweden. UK, USA, Finland > Norway >>>> Sweden Sweden gave us melodeath, Opeth and Meshuggah. I used to love all of those, but then I listened to better and more interesting stuff from other countries. Anata is a nice Swedish band though imo.
  2. Warped tour presents: music for people with silly haircuts and bad taste in clothes.
  3. CoB is Finnish, but everyone and their mother knows who they are. Lots of non-metalheads listen to them too.
  4. Epica is Dutch. Korpiklaani is probably the most basic example of a folk metal band, along with Bathory and Windir for the black metal side of Viking metal.
  5. Nodame Cantabile: annoyed but handsome music student meets music student with no real motivation and crazy [cabbage] happens.
  6. It's best not to start. Sooner or later you'll be sucking up the Communist manifesto whilst listening to Lateralus, with Bill Hicks on your TV.
  7. Galneryus - Owari Naki, Konoshi Excellent Japanese neoclassical/power metal.
  8. Ubuntu Hardy. It's like a [bleep]ing rock. I used Intrepid for a week and I found it to be, on the whole, less stable than Hardy. Maybe it was just me. [edit]
  9. 95% of the time, I listen to full albums. Skipping tracks is sacrilege. I download, filter out the stuff I don't like and buy the stuff I do.
  10. Naruto is average. Not good, not bad. Average. Any love for Nodame Cantabile here?
  11. Lucky Star is just one of a handful of my favourite things.
  12. FMA is probably the best out of the 4 'universally well-known' anime. I've never been much into shounen. I much, much prefer shoujo, especially the borderline seinen stuff like Azumanga Daioh etc.
  13. That show is so good on so many levels. [hide=Spring 2009 Anime Schedule][/hide] From that, I'm watching: - K-ON - Eden of the East - Winter Sonata - Natsu no Arashi
  14. Your musical compatibility with SqueezinJam is LOW Music you have in common includes Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Beatles. I doubt there's anyone whose music compatibility with me is high or very high. http://last.fm/user/dsavi Your musical compatibility with dsavi is Low Music you have in common includes Nine Inch Nails, Harry Gregson-Williams, Vangelis and Nightwish.
  15. Shouldn't you all be doing something more productive on Valentine's Day?
  16. Phish should be pretty jammin'
  17. Ambeon, another Arjen project. @Above: You seem to like progressive stuff, so I would recommend Can. Start with Ege Bamyasi. [cabbage]'s pretty rad.
  18. Well what's the point in making a thread if people think they suck can't have an opinion too? They're catchy and fun, but nothing more than that.
  19. Disillusion - The Sleep of Restless Hours
  20. woa Tomoya is such a [cabbage] father And Clannad is most likely to go sad, then have a really happy ending.
  21. - Wake up - Sit here - Sleep
  22. I would respectfully disagree. Train of Thought for instance, is full of anger and emotion. Octavarium also plays a bit out of emotions as well. I'm guessing you have only listened to Pull Me Under and assumed all DT songs are the same. No I've listened to most, if not all, of their material when I was first getting into metal. And most of DT is just widdlywiddlywoodlywoodlywah guitar solos and songs that are 20 minutes longer than they actually need to be. OT: Esoteric is hard to listen to: It sounds like something belching from hell.
