Yes. - My Bloody Valentine - Spiritualized - Slowdive - Sigur Rós (second album) - Blonde Redhead - The Jesus and Mary Chain - M83 - The Pains of Being Pure at Heart - Cocteau Twins All dreampop/shoegaze bands that I enjoy quite a bit. I don't think that Slowdive is better than MBV; I like them about equally. I think MBV's abstract sound is really good to just relax to. Slowdive can make me feel really down and depressed sometimes.

Chill the [bleep] out; Google messed up somewhere, that's all - my friends and I are having the same problem. Just be patient. I hate it when people say "OH [cabbage] SOMETHING IS GOING WRONG IT MUST BE A VIRUS!" without taking other, less destructive possibilities into account first.

I haven't heard anything by them aside from MPP. What would you recommend? Agreed on Summertime Clothes being amzing though. Animal Collective - Merriweather Post Pavilion (album) Get Feels and Strawberry Jam. Strawberry Jam is my favourite, I think. The Mighty Mighty Bosstones - Numbered Days

Animal Collective - For Reverend Green This, and Summertime Clothes, are the best Animal Collective songs in my opinion.

Less than Jake - History of a Boring Town So, so cheesy, but awesome at the same time.

I'm pretty psyched up for it, to say the least.

I'm not spontaneous at all. I'm very regimented. This "random" thing is just a trend anyway.

Bloc Party - Where is Home?

I take back my comments about Animal Collective. I sat down and really listened to them, and now I absolutely love them. Merriweather Post Pavilion should've shipped with a tab of LSD or something.

Between the Buried and Me - Sun of Nothing Extremely [bleep]y metalcore. It's alright, just really boring in places. Reminiscent of Protest the Hero. On balance I would much rather listen to Disillusion's Back to Times of Splendor.

I haven't listened to them in quite a while now. My friend was listening to them today and I struck up quite an interesting conversation with her about them. Spiritualized Lazer Guided Melodies #12 - 200 Bars

I approve. Not as good as Souvlaki, but still very enjoyable.

That would be Don't Trust Me, their most popular song. I guess most people on these forums don't like them much but being an 18 year old from New York, I come from a different background than most of the people on these forums [/generalization] Oh don't worry they're all metalheads here who can't comprehend other styles of music. It's alright, haven't listened to them but they're the same as Brokencyde or what? I'll check them out and be posting here soon again :). Nah, they're not really like Brokencyde but they appeal to the same demographic.

[bleep] yeah. I quite like the shoegaze/industrial hip-hop of Dalek. Nas released a couple of nice albums too. I used to be into 50 Cent and stuff when I was younger [i grew up in a hip-hop trend; 50 Cent and Eminem]; but I haven't really listened to any hip-hop in a while now.

It's a shame that avant-garde progressive metallers maudlin of the Well broke up. Kayo Dot [their new band] just doesn't evoke as much emotion in me as motW did. I mean, it's all good, but it's not as powerful as their previous project. Although, this being said, I think a breakup or at least a drastic change of style was necessary because there was no way in hell that they could top Bath and Leaving Your Body Map. - DISREGARD THAT I SUCK [roosters]. They're going into the studio. I would've liked them to have kept touring for a few years though. Another one is shoegazers My Bloody Valentine. Although Kevin Shields has just released Loveless again and they're playing a handful of concerts here and there, they're not really an active band anymore. They probably won't release any new material because they [read] know that they won't be able to better Loveless. Again, to summarise: a necessary breakup, but I'm happy that they're playing a few gigs here and there this year.
