  1. I use the word 'tubular' an awful lot if we're discussing something particularly awesome. Also, 'radical'.
  2. Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, United Kingdom. England's [cabbage]tiest seaside resort.
  3. I stopped using Firefox when I discovered that it was lagging behind on my old computer. Too intensive.
  4. Gorguts - Faceless Ones Obscura made it on my list of my 10 favourite albums.
  5. After Story made me hate the series that got me into animu. Srsly. : / how can you not like AS? Too much baaaw and not nearly enough drama. I also found the serious parts so funny that I dropped it after 20 episodes. .... 2 episodes before the end?! I thought it was 24 episodes. o___o Maybe I'll finish it after all..I swear they've changed the number of episodes that After Story was gonna be over 5 times now.

  8. What are you trying to insinuate? I'm not flaming - I'm merely posting my opinion of Dream Theater. If you got a problem with the fact that I think they're soulless, then maybe you should just stop going to forums. I think Azvareth has already covered what I was gonna tell you, so just check the last page. Also, yes I did like Dream Theater - when I was 13. I grew out of it though and started listening to better metal and shoegaze.

If I didn't care for music, why would I listen to post-rock and shoegaze? (Some of the most boring music ever, no less!)

Kings of Leon is terrible and you should feel terrible for listening to them. When they were really played here, and my friends were bugging me to listen to them, I was all "nah, gonna go listen to Nightwish." I have no idea of which is more embarrassing.

I've grown accustomed to the local radio station that plays 80s club hits because my Mum usually has that on in the car or at home. I'm not an avid listener of the BBC stations though, apart from Radio 3. I don't really know what music is 'in' at the moment around where I live. As for TV, I barely watch any. Not because I don't want to, but because I have neither a TV or a TV tuner.
  12. Not really. The things I don't do are things I can't physically do, like going to parties, staying in a town for a long while etc.
  13. There are quite a lot of my favourite metal bands in there. Nice.
  14. Iced Earth - Iced Earth I love Iced Earth - especially their selftitled and Burnt Offerings.
  15. I find it quite interesting that Dream Theater reeks of pretentious asshattery. They make music that teenagers who want to be good at guitar but fail to do any practice and thus fall short listen to; they seek some sort of the annoying [bleep]ery of John Petrucci. I have tried and tried again to understand Dream Theater and their music, but I simply cannot grasp how the music is interesting: interesting is not a solo that changes from 5/4 to 7/8 and cycles through A major, F# minor, E major and then back to A major; interesting is not the robotic vocals of James LaBrie (except on Images and Words, which by all counts is a decent progressive album); interesting is not writing a suite about being an alcoholic. The very definition of interesting is something that captivates you, holds your attention and provides you with some food for thought. Dream Theater is none of those. Happy now?
  16. Vocals: Yuki Chikudate (Asobi Seksu) Guitars/Programming: Kevin Shields (My Bloody Valentine) Addition effects such as E-bow: Jónsi Birgisson (Sigur Rós) Bass: Mauro Pezzente (Godspeed You! Black Emperor) Drums: Yasunori Takada (Mono) Of course, they would play shoegazing post-rock with blissful female vocals.
  17. Scenes From A Memory? Octavarium? Boring. Widdlywoodly solos everywhere. Double boring. It's a Muse album.
  18. I love the second half of Deathconsciousness especially.
  19. Los Campesinos!, Koenjihyakkei, Have a Nice Life, Mono, Asobi Seksu and My Bloody Valentine are some current favourites. Not writing a whole list of about 750 bands.
  20. Worst band name ever. Los Campesinos! - Knee Deep at ATP
  21. Looks like tip.it is filled with hardcore, angst-ridden teenagers who need to put artists down when they too have ultra-[cabbage] taste in music themselves. You don't even need to know who I'm talking about. I grew up around Thriller and such - the singer of my childhood, along with a few 80s post-punk bands such as The Smiths, The Cure and Joy Division. My mother had some records I listened to when I was about 9 or 10, and some compilations of 80s hits that I haven't heard in about six years now. I should see if I can dig them out or something. Nostalgia!
