  1. As long as runescape is around there will be bots /thread But seriously, Runescape is almost asking for bots to proliferate here. It is a browser based java game that features simplistic and repetitive tasks managed by a company ill-equipped to monitor and survey hundreds of thousands of players.
  2. Isnt that caused by dragon defender? Dragonfire is in a pretty bad shape too. Not really, since people using the obsidian shield probly couldn't use a dragon defender. And as for the dragonfire, the release of frost dragons has driven the price of visages through the floor with all the people (and bots) camping frost dragons 24/7.
  3. My first day of members was the best day of my RS life. I started at the gates of taverly, walked over white wolf mountain, stopped by catherby and fished a few lobbies, somehow ended up in ardougne, walked over to the gnome battlefield, and ended up at castle wars. It was the most fun I've ever had in runescape.
  4. Only on world 117 could this happen... 50+ minute floors with me (the lowest member of the team) getting zerker, sharpshooter, as well as other awards. One guy quit like three rooms before the boss though, which made me lol.
  5. That is like the scariest looking bot ever! :ohnoes: Like seriously, it looks like a bank robber from the start of the dark knight.
  6. It seems like the best plan of action (if you ask me) would be something like this: Give Help and Advice a subforum called "Efficiency" where people can post all of their metagame, serious questions, and people who are interested and knowledgeable in this topic can post to their hearts content. Hell, maybe it can go so far as giving a select few members of the efficiency camp moderator powers within the Efficiency subforum. However, it is well known (and admitted by several members of the efficiency camp) that efficiency people can be overly blunt. While posting in the Efficiency subforum, they could be as blunt as a beer bottle if they wanted, but while in other sections of the forum (Most importantly GD) they would have to behave a bit. Just my two cents, its probly never gonna happen anyways.
  7. I am on both forums because i like helping people with there H&A problems and because i sometimes need help too Okay, perhaps I am over simplifying it by saying that "everyone" is trolling and mod-goading, but there is no denying that certain individuals have made their thoughts abundantly clear on both forums in a sometimes provocative and altogether unnecessary way.
  8. Tbh I don't understand why any people with that in their siggy are still around here? They've made their own forums that they can do with whatever they please, anyone left is just either trolling or mod-goading with every post.
  9. Summoning tanks are the hardest pure you can possibly make, and to be honest, you'll have a hard time getting a fight. I know that if I saw a summoning pure when I was on my pure, I wouldn't even bother trying to fight them.
  10. If I'm not mistaken it has something to do with the recent flamewar and the banning of Bladewing.
  11. I don't see why all the...(am I allowed to say efficiency troll anymore?) disagreeable people just hop on over to another fansite and give advice there? Or just make their own website where they could have any ridiculous way of banning people that they wanted.
  12. I'm gonna be honest, I'm not sad to see some people go. If they want to go and make their own community, more power to them, but keep the hate and bad attitudes out of tip.it please. I love tip.it, in my mind, tip.it is synonymous with Runescape, and I couldn't enjoy one without the other. So seeing the disruptive, mean-spirited players storm off (however "respected" they may be) it a real breath of fresh air for me.
  13. Sure I've been tempted, I've even ventured onto botting sites, and let me tell you, some of those pictures are mouth watering, hundreds of millions of gold and xp for seemingly no price. But in the end, fear of being banned will always outweigh the desire for fast and easy levels.
  14. [spoiler=Nomad] Bwahahahahaha!! Eat it Nomad! Thanks for that Kyatt tip, really saved my ass. Got myself 93 attack with the zeal from the quest, as well as a sexy new blue sw cape. Time to piety all my tasks now...
  15. I mad nomad, I very, very mad. These are just the closest I've gotten out of 10 attempts so far... Well...GF 1 million worth of brews, time to go buy the next batch.
  16. Alright people, after much shopping around I've landed on this... I know that some people have pointed out that they GPU is a bit over the top, but I'm willing to pay for it. I'm pretty sure that my power supply should be able to handle all that, right? (It would be beyond cool if someone could somehow make sure that I'm not making a mistake here). 8 gigs of ram seems like more than enough. 1 terabyte should do the job in the memory department. The CPU looks pretty good. So yeah, unless someone has strong convictions as to why I shouldn't get any of the items in this list, please explain why. EDIT: for some reason the picture doesn't show my 8 gigs of ram...
  17. Start your own thread mate, kinda counts as thread hijacking. OT: I would be wary of having 2 cards crossfired/sli'd as an initial build, you're kinda slowed by that 8x pci. Just go for a 6970 I guess, or hell, a 6990 XD Oh, when I selected the new ZOTAC GPU I meant to say that I had replaced the other one, I have no plans on linking them (wouldn't it make sort of a bottleneck? Because the new GPU is vastly superior to the one I was planning on getting) Also, what are SSD cards? I've done some reading on them and I'm still very confused, do they replace my hard drive? Do they replace my RAM? Do they just boost performance just that much more? Would this one do the job well? If so, would it even fit into my selected motherboard?
  18. Oh shoot, forgot that I needed a disk drive, those aren't that important, right? :P (sarcasm, just so you know) As for the RAM, I really don't plan on cutting back, I don't even want to think about lag while playing any of my games, and it really seems like an easy way to get more performance out of my machine for a low price. So I was looking around for potential GPUs and I landed on this guy... Card If this one isn't enough I don't know what is. And as for my missing disk drive, I decided to get this one. Tell me what you think? I mean, it seems like most disk drives are pretty much the same, and if your wondering no, I don't want a blu-ray drive. These new additions bring my total up to $1534.40 which is a bit over my limit, but I think it'll be worth it. I've been seeing a lot of debate over which CPU to get, and understand almost none of the debate going on, could someone just step in any say "yay" or "nay" to my current CPU? (And if you say "nay" suggest a better one, remember, I would prefer quality over price, but please don't suggest anything too much over like,$250.)
  19. So here is my "from scratch" list of components... Would this be enough to even get my computer to turn on? Assume that I already have a monitor/keyboard/mouse.
  20. Alright I'll try to come up with a list of components later today, thanks for helping me out with this!
  21. Hmm...these are all things I should consider. My biggest fear about buying a computer completely from scratch is that the parts I buy for it won't "fit" together, or that I won't have enough cables to hook everything up. Plus the actual assembly would be pretty scary, do these things come with instructions?
  22. I've recently decided to give up on my junked up rig (you served me well) and start from scratch on a new one. My main goal for this new rig will be to run Battlefield 3 on high specs when it comes out, as well as having plenty of memory to accommodate for my large-ish collection of games. My trouble is, after spending hours browsing Newegg I still have almost no idea what to get. Do I start from scratch? Do I get a barebones kit? Do I buy some combo pack? Its all very confusing to me. My biggest concerns are that none of the components I buy will "fit" together, so that makes me scared to go completely from scratch, and when I look at barebones kits, I'm totally lost when it comes to seeing which ones could support good enough expansions. So I ask you, what would you suggest? Does anyone have any links to some good rigs I could buy? My price cap is 1500$ but I might be willing to consider 2000$ if you think its a really really great rig. Please keep in mind that I'm very inexperienced at this, and so any advice is greatly appreciated. This is what I currently had in mind: Computer Its fairly expensive, but it looks pretty cool and I really love some of those specs, do you think this is what I'm looking for?
  23. Yeah it spins and makes noise and everything, it just decides not to do anything about it. And if I put a disk in and try to activate a program, it will say "please insert disk to activate program"
  24. No new bind? High smithing and thieving level requirements? A quest?! This can only mean one thing... Count me out.
